Great beer selection, chill vibe… and THE Best buffalo wings in HK hands down! Ribs are on point too, as are the onion rings and potato wedges, but I’m a bigger fan of buffalo wings and been searching all over HK for decent ones… And now I’ve found them! The wings a called Jumbo on the menu and I was very pleasantly surprised to see order-after-order go by. Well I wasn’t exactly happy that they were going by and not stopping in front of me, but(unfortunately) I was with a friend who’s a vegetarian(grrr) and we had just come from lunch, so I refrained, but swore I’d be back. And the next weekend, back I was! I invited my carnivorous friends this time to share in the celebration craft beer and a week’s worth of anticipation for these buffalo wings. Listed as Jumbo on the menu, I’d witnessed the accuracy of this description last week and, thankfully, nothing seemed to change since then. The massive chicken wings.(especially by HK standards!) were meaty and actually coated in buffalo sauce — it wasn’t just on the side for awkward dipping in a dish that doesn’t even fit the chicken wing or worse just covered in chili flakes. Too many times in HK, «buffalo wings» lack any meat on them and are not much more than crispy deep fried skin at best. But these wings actually required a second and third return bite to retrieve all of the meat from the bone! This was a proper Buffalo wing by any US standards. I had forgotten how good proper buffalo wings can(and should!) be. Finally! Quick note on the ribs. As I said before and I’m sure you can guess now, I’m a BIG fan of buffalo wings. I don’t usually order Ribs, but one of my friends with us had«heard good things» about the Ribs at Granville, so of course we had to try them. Following the theme of the wings, the ribs were HUGE and not just in bone but in meaty goodness that fell off the bone and was accompanied by a nice, homemade, tangy bbq sauce. 3 of us shared a half rack and were pleasantly surprised with the portion; although, we did order another half rack later in the afternoon :) Also, shout out to the bartender Rock and Toby for keeping us well supplied and their beer recommendations throughout the entire afternoon/evening. Definitely making this a new routine spot!
