On the spur of the moment we decided to check out Glow, as whenever we’ve walked past we’ve already had dinner plans. What a superb place this is. Nice, calm and relaxed with cool chill out background music. Empty when we arrived around 7:30 but a few others turned up which enhanced the atmosphere, but to be honest we don’t really need them. The manager was friendly and served us throughout the evening. He helped us select our dozen Oysters, labelled them and then suggested in which order to consume. These were lovely and we were tempted for more. He kindly pouted out that by «liking» their Facebook page we’d both get a small complimentary Crab Cake and small Bloody Mary Shot. Additionally we enjoyed the King Prawn(uncooked) with Avocado, grilled Cuttlefish(our best yet), and finally the Tuna Steak(possibly a few seconds overcooked if I were to be critical however the flavour was scrummy). For desert we shared the Tiramisu — definitely a great choice. Everything was very good indeed. We’ll certainly be back soon and recommend to others

Their menu’s GLOW! Ambiance/décor-4 Service-5 Food-5 Strikeouts-0/3 Christmas dinner here, so went nuts and ordered half their menu. Only complaint is the washrooms are really small, and fit only one person, and they share sinks between male and female, but it’s Hong Kong, what do I expect? Now that the bad stuff is out of the way, let’s get to the good stuff! Started off with ordering most of the oysters on the menu accompanied by a glass of prosecco(white wine). My favourite was surprisingly the«baron point oyster». One thing I found really nice about this restaurant is that these oysters are HUGE for raw oysters. Usually for Freshly shucked oysters, regardless of the size, it is served to the customer at the same cost. This place is not the case. The price is a bit of the premium side, easily twice the price of another typical oyster bar, but the size is 3 times as big and thickness is consistent. I always thought only in Asian restaurants, would you get this size and quality, but those oysters are a different breed and must be cooked. Another amazing thing is the wasabi spiced horse radish they have is super fresh and goes really well with the oyster. Better than any lemon or cocktail sauce can add. We also ordered Caesar salad, crab cakes, Boston lobster, angus rib eye steak(150g), spaghetti and meat balls and Kurobata pork chop. What stuck out was the Boston lobster, meatballs and Pork chop. It’s been a VERY long time since I had a good lobster western style, and to find it here in HK is baffling. Red hook lobster from NYC can learn a thing or two from this chef. The braising of the pork chop is what made this piece definitely Interesting and wanting more after every bite. The meatballs is what I wanted to say was probably the best entrée item. I usually don’t like meatballs, because it’s either too chunky, dry, or like mush. This was like the perfect consistency when chewing on it and I would say it’s the best meatball I’ve ever ate! Overall, it is pricey, but definitely bang for the BUCK. I would just drop by just to have oysters, literally just right off the station! If you’re in central, make sure to take a few stops just to come by the area. It’ll be a nice of «fresh air». I think this place isn’t that busy because of the really crappy location. There’s nothing to do around it.
