Nelly is so helpful and friendly! I just want to thank her for helping me pick out my bridesmaids dress style that fit my body (at the time 6 months preggo) and made recommendations on which size i should get considering I would be 1 month postpartum at the wedding. I was able to get alterations done just a few weeks before the wedding and they did an amazing job for my dress as well as my daughter’s flower girl dress and for a great price! I would definitely recommend this boutique for great selections of dresses and especially for superb service. Nelly is awesome!

Although I didn’t buy my wedding dress from Nelly, I bought my bridesmaids dresses from her. My sister-​in-​law bought her wedding dress from here and raves about Nelly and this shop. Her racks are a little hard to shop through, but you could pretty much order anything online through her, which is what we did. Great experience, great communication! Her and Tilda are extremely helpful and friendly. It’s nice to have a bridal boutique to go to in SSF :)

I just want to express my gratitude to Nelly because she was so helpful with finding my wedding dress and bridesmaid dress. My group was pretty loud and a bit crazy. Nelly was so patient and down to earth. She was so nice and honest with her opinion. This may be a small boutique, but trust me, you will find something you will LOVE! Go to Nelly if you need dresses!

I ordered my bridesmaid dresses here. I went all over the bay to find the right color and designer and it took forever to find a bridal boutique that had it. But Nellys did! Hilda was very nice, polite and patient to all my bridesmaids and myself. It’s a hole in the wall type of boutique, but they get the job done. My dresses all came in when she quoted me and there were no hiccups. This is a good place to go and order what you need. They also have a small selection of dresses to try. They carry many designers for bridal and bridesmaid too. I like that she had current catalogs too. Overall, I would recommend this place bc there are no frills or over selling and they get down to it but in a polite way. They don’t rush it and they are nice.

Hi Nelly– just wondering when you will be sending me my check for the mistake you guys made in ordering my bridesmaid dress. I’m very displeased with your follow up and willingness to correct your error. I am now out over $ 200 for your employee ordering the wrong dress. its been months since you said you would reimburse me.

I love the selection in this store! Nelly’s has such a well curated collection of some truly beautiful dresses. On top of it all, I received some of the best customer service I have ever experienced in my life and really felt as though they were committed to helping me find something amazing. I cannot recommend this place enough if you have a special occasion coming up, whether it be a wedding, prom or quinceañera.

I have been looking for a reasonably priced Quincenera dress for my daughter. All of the ones I looked at where waaaayyy beyond my price range. We went to Nellys. Nelly and her employees were so patient, friendly and just as excited as we were. They were very honest about the fit of the dresses that my daughter tried on. The place is light, clean and large enough so we did not feel claustrophobic like other places.
We were so delighted when we found the PERFECT dress… it was the same colors as her invitations!!!
Nelly not only gave us a discount but also sent us a beautiful hand written thank you note… what a beautiful touch.
If you are looking for quinceneara dresses or Bridal gowns (they have so many beautiful ones too!) COME HERE FIRST!

I love this place! Paola and Hilda were amazing! I came in with a specific wedding dress in mind and although they didn’t have it on hand they pulled a couple dresses from the same designer and similar style. I ended up going with a totally different dress, but Paola was super attentive and gave my friends and I a lot of freedom with perusing the racks and finding dresses on our own. She was very patient and knowledgeable on all the styles and designers. Overall a wonderful and great experience! Great dress selection, affordable styles and from popular designers as well.

I would recommend this place for alteration. Did a great job on my dress and been a happy customer. Thank you for all your work Claudia :)

Nelly was very helpful on helping me find dresses for my bridesmaids. We chose a linen champagne color dress, which they looked spectacular! We got plenty of compliments. If it wasn’t for her help, our day wouldn’t have been unforgettable. We appreciate it very much. I can say we walked out of her store very satisfied.

Absolutely LOVE the service here. If I wouldn’t have purchased my wedding dress at a trunk show elsewhere, I would have wanted to buy it from here. Nelly and her associate Hilda are so sweet and accommodating. I walked in one day half an hour before store closing and Hilda didn’t make me feel rushed whatsoever. I was sure to be quick because I didn’t want to make her stay past 7, but I really appreciated that gesture from her. Nelly also offered to meet with me when I initially proposed Monday and she told me they are closed on Mondays but that we could make it work. How sweet is that? What a wonderful small business.
As far as their collection, it seemed like they had a wide array. I was looking for a very specific type of dress, so I can’t say for sure, but I did see several cute ones as Hilda was pulling dresses for me. Definitely stop by here on your wedding dress search!

I am a local of South San Francisco so I was completely thrilled to find this little gem in the very city I grew up. I made an appointment via e-​mail and Nelly was very quick to respond. We set up an appointment shortly after and she was very flexible with times.
When I arrived the day of my appointment, Carla (Nelly’s niece) helped me select a few dresses. I chose a few and she assisted in picking others based on my taste and preferences. Carla was absolutely wonderful helping me get into the dresses. Nelly arrived shortly after and was fabulous! All the dresses I tried on could have easily been «the one.» However, it was the last one Carla helped me into that I said yes to! Both Carla and Nelly were great in helping me add on accessories to help visualize what I might wear on the big day!
I am so glad I checked out Nelly’s. The staff is amazing and helpful, the store has a wide selection of beautiful dresses, and the dresses are very reasonable. I would highly recommend to any brides!

Nelly was so accomodating. My friend and I called and they had time to see me right away. I was in search of my mother of the groom dress. This was the second bridal store of the day and the last. Being a plus size gal, it’s not always easy to find a good selection of dresses you can actually put on. Nelly had a great selection of beautiful dresses and was awesome at picking dresses that flattered my figure. She made me feel very comfortable and welcomed. I said yes to the dress at Nelly ’ s Bridal Boutique!

Came here in search for a friend’s wedding dress and she said yes to the dress :)! She went with a chiffon trumpet dress, it’s really pretty! Easy to set up an appointment and the location was easy to find and there is public parking across the street.

I decided to go to Nelly’s for my second fitting & unfortunately it did not measure up to the other 5 star reviews here.
They were fairly busy that day so I was helped by 3 different people (including Nelly). I repeated what I was looking for & the wedding location 3 different times & it did not seem like no one understood what I was asking for. I asked for light & flawy, every dress I tried on was heavy & I drowned in it. Service was also nothing like the other bridal shop I went to during my first fitting.
After trying on a few dresses & constantly disappointed, I ended the appointment.
Maybe the experience would have been better on a less busy day but meh.

I’m happy to say that I said «YES» to my dress at Nelly’s! I went to Nelly’s for my very first dress-​shopping experience. It was easy to make an appointment, and because it’s a small business, they seem to only do one appointment at a time. I like this because you know you’re the only one getting taken care of at the time in the boutique. Both times I came in early, and was able to look around before my appointment.
The shop is small, but I like that because it feels personal. The woman who helped me my first time there was Hilda, and she was beyond amazing! She allowed me to look through the dresses while I waited and pull the ones I liked, and based on the looks she saw me pull, she helped pick out a few more. I loved all the dresses she helped me try on. She always gave me her honest opinion and I never felt pushed or rushed. She also seemed to know a lot about how the dresses would be altered for me. Although I liked all the dresses I tried on, it was my first visit anywhere, so she took my information down in case I returned for a visit.
Over the past two months or so, I’ve been to about 5 other bridal boutiques including David’s Bridal and Trudy’s in San Jose. Long story short, after every other place I’d visited, my mind always went back to Nelly’s Bridal. The customer service I got everywhere else was «okay», but sometimes it seemed generic — like I was «just another bride». I felt like people were just trying to make a sale at other places, and I left overwhelmed, more stressed, or just unhappy by the service I received.
I decided to go back to Nelly’s hoping to try on more dresses, and simply because I knew I wouldn’t feel stressed there. My second visit was just as great as the first, and I was actually helped by Nelly herself and her niece — both ladies were so sweet and accommodating! They pulled all the other dresses I had tried on before, and even found one that I picked out from a magazine that I liked. It ended up being the one I said YES to! Nelly even helped me fit the dress cost into my budget.
Nelly and her team provide such amazing customer service, that I WANTED to give them my business. Every time I tried on a dress, they gave me honest feedback, I never felt like they just wanted to make a sale, and my dress shopping experience was just wonderful because of them! I’m so happy I was able to find MY dress with them!
They have a great collection (both bride and bridesmaid) worth trying on, and for great prices, so I highly recommend making a visit to Nelly’s if you’re a bride-​to-​be!

What an amazing experience!
This was my first time trying on wedding dresses, and I had no idea what to expect. This store had the BEST costumer service, made me feel comfortable and welcome, and had a great selection of well priced dresses. I felt well taken care of, lots of personal attention, and was never overwhelmed. The staff here is absolutely great: good listeners, expert knowledge, attention, and they do a wonderful job helping you find what you are looking for (even if you don’t know what that is yet!!). It is a small store that gives you a intimate boutique setting but still with tons of variety and great quality. I would absolutely recommend this store to anyone, no matter what style you are looking for.
Superior variety, quality, value, and personal touch. Absolutely a must visit!

This place has the BEST SERVICE EVER!
A friend of mine was in a wedding and knew she was pregnant when she went shopping for her bridesmaids dress. The folks at Nelly’s told my friend to order her dress at least a size up. Luckily, the wedding was after her due date so she hadn’t planned on any snags…
But my friend ended up having twins and going up several dress sizes. By the time my friend realized that there was no way she was going to fit in the dress it was past the deadline for most rushed lead times.
I personally contacted the vendor with no luck, I went on ebay, Criagslist, and every sample sale I could think of and I had no luck. Not even the same color or fabric.
Finally, I called Nelly’s and told them the situation and they were wonderful. I primarily worked with Alma via phone and she was able to order a yard of the lining and overlay direct from the vendor and had it shipped in time for alternations. Yay!
Alma really saved the day. I am so thankful that she was so willing to help me help my friend. She truly went above and beyond for us.

I highly recommend stopping by Nelly’s Bridal! I’m so glad I did. Nelly’s Bridal was my first stop (my wedding dress ended up being the first one I tried on) After my first visit, I went to many boutiques… ended up coming back to Nelly’s 4x to try on the same dress before purchasing it. I purchased the Rebecca from St. Patricks, gorgeous gown!
When my dress came in, I made the dumb mistake of taking it to another boutique to get it altered (just hemming and bustle) they charged me $ 600… yes $ 600 :(for hemming and bustle, the bustle ended up looking so bad! I was not happy with the gown, took it back to Nelly’s and they referred me to someone who charged me $ 40 to re do the bustle … after that I was in love with my dress again, it turned out great!
My bridesmaids also purchased their gowns at Nelly’s, Bari Jay 103. I had a few bridesmaids who ordered their dresses just a month before the wedding, and some out of the country. Nelly was very good at making sure we had the dresses all in by wedding day! I’m very Thankful!
Going back soon for a bridesmaid dress for my best friend’s wedding:)!
