Professionally, prior to founding Anna Marie Events, Anna managed client-​facing and internal events for a private equity firm with over $ 1B in assets under management. With exceptional general management and communication skills from her many years in the corporate world and a unique creative perspective from her academic background in fine arts, she leverages the best of both at Anna Marie Events.

We hired Anna Marie Events for a Summer Party in June of 2013 and it was such a success! Anna is professional, kind, available, flexible, and extremely organized. She also really listens and tries to understand exactly what you want. Anna not only provided all the logistical and organizational support that we needed; she was also a great source of emotional support any time I started to feel overwhelmed.
On our party day, Anna was in her element and ensured that our special day ran smoothly. The whole event was executed and organized perfectly.
Later that summer, we also hired Anna Marie Events for a baby shower that ended up being so much fun. The theme was baseball and Anna was very creative and detailed. The parents to-​be and all of the guests couldn’t have been more impressed.
Craig and I both enjoyed working with Anna and we certainly would hire her again without question.

Anna recently helped me with a 40th birthday party and it was SEAMLESS! The catering, music, venue preparation, flowers, signage and staffing — she did everything. She had the best ideas, amazing vendor contacts and was able to stick to my budget. My guests were thoroughly amazed.

Anna helped me with numerous aspects of my wedding, and I was blown away by how professional, organized, responsive, creative, thorough and resourceful she is! She truly went above and beyond. She helped me think through my budget and all of the logistics, including the reception venue, transportation, photographer, flowers… all the way down to the tiny details such as flower girls’ baskets and a guestbook. She provided excellent recommendations, down-​to-​earth advice, creative vision, and flawless execution. She helped make my wedding better than I had dared to hope it could be… and then she outdid herself by surprising me by having our suite at the Ritz (where I had mentioned that we were spending our wedding night) decorated with flowers and stocked with water and snacks. I can’t recommend Anna Marie Events highly enough, for any occasion from a wedding to a party to a corporate event.

She had nice little touches from the handwritten invites to the little goodies we received on arrival. Anna helped us create a fun and meaningful event for our staff where our goal was to show them how much we appreciated all their hard work. Anna found not only the right venue in Sonoma, but crafted an entire itinerary that made our team feel pampered and gave everyone the opportunity to relax together. Anna was also mindful of our budget and was able to get her vendors to stretch so as to make the event super fun without breaking the bank. We love Anna Marie Events and would highly recommend her and her team!

I work in a very busy law firm and wear a number of different hats within the organization. Logistically, I just don’t have the time and capacity to execute a corporate event, oversee the caterer, select a menu, purchase flowers, rent linens and stay on top of all the little details on my own. That is where Anna comes in.
Anna has been invaluable to me because she is someone I completely trust to handle all of these things to the level or better than I would ever be able to do on my own. When an event is on the horizon, I typically have a short meeting or call with her, explain the purpose of the event, the clients who will be attending, and the vibe we are aiming for, and she takes the ball across the finish line from there. I can basically sit back and show up to the event 100% confident that it will be executed impeccably.
Fundamentally, she takes the stress and worry completely out of the equation for me, and for that peace of mind I can’t give a higher recommendation.

Her timing is perfect, all the small details just seem to happen without a hassle, Anna just knows how to put a show on from beginning to the end!
The best part of hiring her company is that you get all the credit from your guests, so in turn you look like the company that has their act together, thanks to ANNA MARIE EVENTS!

Anna has prepared at least three parties for us — a gallery opening, a 46th birthday party and a kid’s birthday. Oh, and a corporate retreat as well. That’s four. Each has outdone the last.
In addition to the usual things that event planners do well — budgeting, finding great vendors, arranging timing of deliveries, Anna sets her company apart. We notice most that she listens very well, has great design/​aesthetic sense and has a deep store of knowledge of the intangibles that make events terrific and have a great vibe. She takes the stress off of us as hosts and allows us to have a great time because she so obviously has everything well in hand.
One thing you just can’t buy — caterers and other vendors love working with her. We’ve gotten outstanding results from very happy teams because they were happy to be working with Anna. You just can’t buy that kind of warmth. She sets a level of mutual expectation where everyone is prepared to do well and then does so. The positive reverberation from her excellent planning is manifest.
Our only regret is that we don’t have more parties to throw on regular basis so we can be a part of the events she throws even more. Highly, highly recommended.
