History

Established in 2000.

An organized and orderly home is one of life’s great pleasures. I founded All Things Home Organizing™ because I’m exceptional at providing organizing services for my clients. Having a live /​work environment that is functional, stylish and ORGANIZED lets people focus on what’s most important in their lives: their work, interests, creativity, and friends & family.

I’ve organized kitchens, closets, home offices, garages, bedrooms, bathrooms, basements, attics, apartments, condo’s, and even dorm rooms. Wherever you live and work, it should be a place that feels comfortable and supportive.

Over the years I’ve developed a specialty for helping families (and busy singles) move and relocate. By offering end-​to-​end move planning and coordination, I can save them a lot of time, worry and needless hassle.

As a Golden Circle member of the National Association of Professional Organizers, All Things Home Organizing™ serves the entire San Francisco Bay Area.

I have been a professional organizer in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 15 years. It naturally evolved from my previous business as a bookkeeper and consultant for small business owners. Setting up and maintaining financial records just spilled out (figuratively speaking) into business planning and organization.

In addition to organizing, I love to cook, and even got my pastry certificate at the California Culinary Academy (so I definitely know my way around an efficient kitchen!). Naturally, I love to eat at great restaurants, shop at the Ferry Plaza Market in San Francisco, and read cookbooks (love ‘Stars Desserts by Emily Luchetti).

I do volunteer my time working with such organizations as Wardrobe for Opportunity, the East Bay SPCA, and KIVA​.com

I can only give a 5 star review but would prefer to give 10. Gayle Grace laid out an easy and organized pathway to making my new home and life much easier. I like to think of myself as organized but in addition to handling the mammoth pack, move and unpack she showed me tips to making my new home easier to manage. She helped me sift and purge and lighten my load before I moved. I especially appreciated her ability to listen to my needs and incorporate them into how she thought things could work better for me. My whole kitchen is now organized so when I cook I flow from one area to the next & I can actually get my car in the garage. Thank you Gayle !

I reached out to try and arrange for advertised services for a senior couple I have been working with. As a Deaf person I use the video relay service to make calls. The only call I made was hung up on before I could introduce myself and explain what I was asking for. I followed up with an email and received a response about how the organiser gets multiple sales calls every day. My follow up email asked that she allow an additional two minutes into the call to allow the Deaf caller to introduce themselves. Her response-​instruct the video relay service to do a better job of identifying themselves and why they are calling. She followed with «As we already are at odds over your initial call, I do not believe our services would be a good fit.» It is rather difficult to do so if you are hung up on immediately into the call. And yes, if you are unwilling to be fluid in your communication, then we are most definitely not a good fit. I may not be able to provide a review about services because Gayle Grace demonstrates an unwillingness to allow for communication. Therefore, my review is based on Gayle Grace’s audistic attitude.

I was overwhelmed with emotion by the time Gail and her assistant left my place this afternoon I actually had tears in my eyes. I recently relocated to the Oakland area from Los Angeles. I had to start a new management position right away with no time to think of myself or getting my home life together.
Firstly her personality and professionalism immediately sent a calmness over me.
My place is so organized and boxes unpacked I have no words except HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! And thank you so much for getting to me so quickly!
She will be coming back to help me shop for the final organizational pieces and I can’t wait.

I would be remiss if I didn’t post this review — Gayle Grace and her team are awesome! I recently moved from a 3-​BR house in LA to a much smaller condo in Walnut Creek for a new job, and although I thought that I pared down enough evidently this wasn’t the case. Gayle scheduled a preview meeting to assess the situation after my formal move (I was living with some things unpacked and a mess of unpacked boxes) and made helpful organizing suggestions which were put into action the next day when the team arrived. Three great unpacking/​organizing specialists came right on time and launched into action — we were done in about 4 hours and I had my home ready to occupy! I’m so grateful and feel that the cost was well worth it considering the end result.
One last bonus — everyone was cat-​friendly and happy to deal with my oldest cat who is quite a nosey «supervisor.» Organizers and pet friendly. What more can I say?

I own a moving company and have had the honor of working in concert again with Gayle on a senior move she just orchestrated. Myself, as an owner-​operator for 31 years now in the bay area, I am very mindful, of both the myriad of details needed to create a seamless transition when people are packing and moving, and the challenges of incorporating all of these gross and subtle details with a cheerful mind and good heart. Gayle and Teri were exactly what I needed when I recently moved from my home of 20 years to another location in the Bay Area. Gayle helped me organize and prioritize what needed to be done. She was a tremendous resource in determining how to sell and donate items that we wouldn’t take with us. Teri knows more about packing and organizing for a move that I ever will — and she worked with me for several weeks to have the boxes ready for the move. (I wanted to «go slow» and do the culling as we packed.)
I would not have survived moving day without their expertise in staging and working with the moving company. At the end of moving day, they had made the bed and gotten our temporary kitchen ready for us to use for breakfast.
Although I had not planned to do so, I extended my contract with All Things Home so that they would further assist with unpacking during our first week in the new home. I’m planning to bring them back soon — as some items were «set aside» for unpacking while remodeling was done in the house.

I cannot thank Gayle enough for coming into our home and organizing our lives for us. From the time we moved into the house, we had a lot going on — planning a wedding, getting married, moving into a new house, getting a lot of new things — before you know, the whole house was one big cluttered mess.
My husband and I work long hours and we just didn’t have the time or the energy into putting it together.
I found Gayle on Unilocal,her reviews here were stellar. So I called and made an appointment with her to organize the master bedroom, closet and the garage. She first came over to assess all three areas. I worked with her during the assessment letting her know what worked for us and what didn’t.
She came back in a few days with her assistant, Teri and together they put our bedroom, closet and garage back in order. They also bought with them storage units, boxes and bags so you are freed from the hassle of shopping for these things. Two days later, voila, bedroom, closet and garage are transformed into this efficient, clean space!
I was so pleased with this that a month later, I asked her to come back to organize the kitchen and pantry.
I’m glad that I did this, the house is now organized in such way that its very easy to maintain. I just don’t see the clutter anymore since everything has a place and I just put it back where it belongs!
Gayle and Teri were very respectful and time-​committed, all projects were on-​time, on-​budget (actually once under budget and I’m not complaining;))
My husband who initially was dubious about this now grudgingly admits it was worth every dollar we spent :)

If you have ever wondered if hiring a professional organizer to assist you with a move or a big house project is worth the money, let me share my experience with you.
Clutter somehow always finds it way into my world and sticks to me! I find myself picking up interesting stuff thinking I’ll go back to it when I have time, and then wondering why my house is such a wreck. Fast forward to the decluttering and organizing project that accompanied a recent home remodel.
I hired Gayle Grace, All Things Home, when I realized that no remodel would ever provide enough storage for all the junk I had collected over the years. I needed serious help! So to my team of project professionals (architect, contractor, interior designer) I added a professional organizer.
Gayle helped me pack up before the contractors moved in… and we got rid of a ton of stuff instead of storing it. wedding gifts that had never been used, family «heirlooms» that no one really liked, unread books. the list was endless. And then she helped me move back in, and find a place for everything worth keeping — and yes, we purged more stuff when we unpacked.
We unpacked 4 months ago and our home is still beautiful! But the real test is our habit of entertaining our friends, which in the past made a disaster area of our home for weeks before AND after a party. Last weekend we had a HUGE party with 60 plus people in our house. And in a matter of days, my kitchen/​home is once again peaceful and organized. As we cleaned up, everything had a place, and it was easy to put things back in their places. Now I can enjoy my house — with and without all my friends.

As a treat to myself I had professional organizer, Gayle Grace, help me unpack and organize my small kitchen after a recent move.
Prior to our arriving we discussed my situation, set a budget and made plans to meet. She arrived on time and ready to go. After a few insightful questions about how I cook/​bake and how often she set to work. A few hours later I had a fully unpacked and organized kitchen. She had some great ideas about utilizing all the space available.
I feel good about maintaing the system she set up for me. It’s useable and looks good to boot!

My experience with professional organizer Gayle Grace and All Things Home was extremely positive.
Gayle recently partnered with Peggy Hughes Associates on our move from SF to the peninsula. Gayle was reassuring, efficient and an organizational fiend all rolled into one.
All of our items were packed and organized to perfection, and Gayle offers all sorts of concierge services (change-​of-​address, switching utilities, donating your unwanted items to charity, etc.) in addition to supervising and coordinating the moving process. Also, she has an excellent network of contacts for things like getting boxes and for the move itself.
She patiently answered all sorts of questions and was in constant contact to help throughout the move.
Considering all the hard work that Gayle does and all the stress that she saved us from, her hourly rate is quite reasonable. Plus, you can choose from a range of services, selecting only the ones you need and not having to pay for any you don’t.
Every penny was worth it, and I’d definitely work with her again for any future moves!

I had to move my rather dysfunctional 88 and 90 yr. old parents from their home of 60 yrs/​2600 sq. feet to a Seniors retirement facility and I would have been a basket case if it weren’t for professional organizer Gayle Grace and her organizing business.
She worked with each parent to determine what furniture would fit in each of their rooms, helped them decide what they could and couldn’t take, packed ALL of their things including clothes, toiletries, meds and furniture, hired some great movers and then unpacked them in their new home. I asked for Gayle’s help with my overwhelming task of putting my 4-​bedroom, 2-​car garage house on the market and moving to a considerably smaller place. Gayle, in our consultation, prepped me on what to do to get the house ready for sale and talked me through staging and hiring a realtor. She then, in two sessions, worked with me on my kitchen and child’s room, and we disposed of more than 20 boxes worth of stuff I had been holding onto but never using. The kitchen declutter was awesome: room in my kitchen cabinets! Items close to where I use them!
Gayle even got my daughter completely engaged and we walked out of that project with a completely neat, organized bedroom and closet and said goodbye to MANY toys that had not been touched in years – with no tears or regrets.
I did sell my house. In 7 days, with 9 offers, and for far more than list price!!! And now I’m headed to a small apartment where I will be asking Gayle to be help me unpack and organize my kitchen and closets. Because having her help is so. worth. every. penny.

Gayle and her team came out last week and unpacked and organized our kitchen and bedroom. Wow. They did more work in one day than my wife and I managed to do in a year after our last move. Gayle Grace of All Things Home is the most incredible resource for any individual or family looking to move, downsize, organize their life, etc. I work with the elderly and Gayle is our go-​to person for all families thinking about making a move, no matter how big or small.
Unlike a regular moving company that just handles the physical labor, Gayle offers a full range of services to help any family in transition. She is competent, warm, compassionate, resourceful and patient. She’s connected to a whole network of resources across the country and can help with everything from physically packing you up, coordinating estate sales, donations, handling a long distance move either to or from the Bay Area. She can help you tackle difficult or embarrassing issues like hoarding without judgement and will be a wealth of knowledge for you.
I only wish I had known about Gayle’s services when we were moving my own grandma to the Bay Area. I remember how stressful it was going through her lifetime of belongings, finding some treasures, but some junk too. It would’ve been so nice to have an unbiased, unattached 3rd party holding our hand through the exhausting process and Gayle could’ve taken all the pressure off our family.

Gayle is brisk, knowledgeable and reassuring. I called her in a panic about an upcoming move — she gave me an hour of her time, which she filled with helpful tips, organizational ideas, and «don’t forget tos,» all delivered in a calm, sensible tone that made me feel 100% better about this process.
