A real local with awesome craft beers. If I lived here I’d be here all the time! The guy behind the bar(no idea if there’s more than one, I’ve only seen him) and he’s super friendly and passionate about beer. The food is basic(chips, nachos etc) but the beer is why to come here. Fab little place.

A cute little bar with a selection of about 10 craft beers. Some are their own brews, some are guest tap from other Hong Kong microbreweries and maybe other imports. There are more options in bottles. I really love how the place has two sides opening up to the streets, with no French window or door. A variety of tables and chairs provide comfortable lounging. Great to just sit there, watch all the hustle bustle outside while you slowly, quietly sip a beer. Or use their fast wifi to catch up on life. I don’t like dingy dark pubs so this is great. I can sit here all day, except for my ambitious travel itinerary. My own grip is that the beer is rather pricey. A glass is about US$ 10, and a flight like US$ 23. I get it beer in Hong Kong is expensive compare to the U.S., and this is Central, but«ouch» says my wallet. I can recommend this place though, if you want to try some local beers.

Came here with some friends after exams! Great place to just hang out and chill after some stressin’ they also have a pretty broad selection of craft beers. They had so many choices that I got psyched out because I’m not usually a beer drinker. But the guy in front was super nice and suggested that I just get the beer flights so I can sample a little of each. He asked me what kinds of beers I preferred and I said«just no ipa». So he got me 4 kinds of their most popular beers! And true to his suggestions, they were not bad! Cons: especially a lot of people during the weekends.

I had travelled to HK a couple of years back and was slightly disappointed to find there weren’t that many bars doing craft beer. However, fast forward to 2016 and now Hongkongers seem to be completely spoiled for choice(and I’m very jealous)!!! Craft Brew & Co was probably my favourite of the many craft beer bars we visited. As you’d expect with this type of bar its located in the hip and popular So-Ho area. You’re gonna find plenty of bars selling bog standard lager around here, but not Craft Brew. These guys really stand out with their rather aggressive marketing of, «Craft not Crap» and you won’t find any boring beers in here. To be honest these guys had some outstanding beer on when I was in. I was drinking their very own Kung Fu Lager and Summer Ale as I’d never seen them in the UK. Both were great examples of a modern, hoppy beer. They were super cold and refreshing, not cheap,(as you would expect) but totally worth it in my opinion. With its simple wooden tables and decoration, this is definitely like a craft beer bar you’d get in Europe. The music was pretty hit and miss(I mean Take That, really??) but it kinda made for a fun night. The staff in Craft Brew were really great and allowed me to sample several different beers before finding the ones I was after. This is a top destination for beer lovers, if I lived in HK I’d be in here a lot!

Pretty pricey but definitely a solid location in the middle of a steep-ish hike up the street. It was $ 180HKD for a flight of 4 beers, many of which were just ok and not nearly cold enough. The pours also came out pretty flat and the staff didn’t seem too knowledgable about their beer selection. If you’re in a pinch for decent beer and want to take a rest, you could do much worse than here.

I really loved this place. Hong Kong is blessed with lots of great craft beer bars and this was one of my favourites. It was fully open to the street on two sides and the décor was all distressed wood, industrial metal and stones. There was the usual things you would expect in a craft bar — beer menu boards and a variety of taps. The staff were friendly and happy to help you choose what pint(or smaller glass if that’s your thing) next. There slogan is «drink craft, not crap». I could not agree more. If you like craft beer and are in HK, this is certainly a bar you will enjoy spending time in.

When it opened this place was a revelation but I feel it’s gone down hill in the last few months. The main guy used to be there all of the time and would talk to you about the beers and was great at recommending new ones to try. I think he’s now concentrating his efforts on the branch he opened in SYP and the new staff in central don’t seem to know anything about beer. Still has a good selection though and I feel like this place really kickstarted the craft beer craze in HK. The sausages and fries are also pretty impressive.

Full disclosure: I am biased. Craft Brew & Co holds a special place in my heart, primarily because of the atmosphere. It’s more tucked away than the other beer bars, often a good bit quieter, and most importantly they play indie music. This place is ideal if, like me, you’re sick of the Top 40 playlists in LKF and just want to have a good pale ale and maybe hear some Arcade Fire, La Roux, or Passion Pit. Tidbit: the men’s bathroom is comically narrow.

I love craft beer so naturally, I love this place! It’s unpretentious, just good beer and friendly staff. Great selection of beer and forever changing but none of your generic stuff! It’s get busy when it is a game night. In additional to beer, they also serve a wide variety of sausages — from traditional to the very exotic(i.e. snake, anyone?) Great place for happy hour or a late night with friends.

I dropped by for a quick beer this afternoon alone. Just really needed to fix my thirst for beers and this place seems to serve a good fountain of great varieties. Unfortunately I did not try the food. But they do seems plenty of food that goes well with beers. Sausages, hot dogs and burgers. Also plenty of bottled beers to choose from. But the highlight must be the 11 types of drafts they serve. Two black boards on the wall display what drafts are there. The left board has beers that seems to be the stables, while the right board get rotates regularly. Now they are serving he Hong Kong Beer Stout, and also the Young Master. Both are local brewed beers that anyone in Hong Kong should try them once. I think I will be a regular to this place. And I am sure all beer lovers would love this place too. Cheers~!
