Staunton Street is an ideal bar and restaurant crawl street. From one end down to the other then down Gage Street to Hollywood. Sheung Wan begins quietly but winds up as another D’Aguilar Street with over flow humanity. Love it. This restaurant is at the East end of Staunton and very easy to get to(even in heels) and cabs are frequent. It’s also ½ a block up from the escalator. So really easy to get to. They have a full bar, the skewers, hammas, and all the mez is served with a more Western flair. So the food is fusion Middle East-Western. I went for a birthday party and the host had rented out the entire bar for the night. The room fits about 40 people comfortably, and the decoration is cozy. I’d definitely go back to hang out. But, Staunton is so spoiled for choices that it’s a tough decision unless you feel you want a more Middle Eastern flair.

Went there last night after K tracked it down on Trip advisor. Unilocal not yet big in HK. Greeted by a friendly host, shown to the last table. Noisy but busy and terrific. Had the plate, some kebabs and a lamb shank. All terrific, with friendly helpful service. And near the escalator. If you are after a change from HK staple, give Le Souk a look.

After 1 month dining in Europe with varying quality, my partner and I really enjoyed our meal tonight at this morrocan/eygptian restaurant. Great décor and attentive service and the food was fresh, flavoursome and yummy with starters(babaganoush and kefke meat balls) and main courses(seafood paella and shish kebabs).
