I went to ruby’s for my birthday with my birthday before we see the martian and it was amazing. I had a grilled cheese and it was cripey and cheesey, and a peanut butter cup milkshake and it was creamy and peanut butter flavor all around, must try ALL of their shakes

Wonderful breakfast — the potatoes were wonderful but if you don’t like onions make sure you mention it. but would you believe there were beinets as a choice for your toast or bagel? Real ones and delicious. The bacon too was simply perfect and generous.

I have been coming here since I was a kid. I love the chicken fingers and fries. And I like that bring you all the dips because I use them all. I’ve been to several different Ruby’s but this one’s my favorite. I have never met an unpleasant employee here.

My dad ate here a couple weeks ago. Had the Ceaser salad. As soon as the dressing came out he could tell something was off, it was brownish & have never seen a brown Ceaser before. Afterwards we went to the movies and he could immediately feel himself getting sick, had the cold sweats & shivers. his digestive system hasn’t been the same since. Be warned this place is serving out the stomach flu!

This is place is super understaffed, 4 waiters for 100 people as they double as hosts and bus boys. Fries tasted like they were from a frozen section of a grocery store. One refill took 35 minutes. Burger was good, I felt bad for the waiters because they short staffed. Not my first choice to come, some one gave us a gift card so we came. Not coming back for sure.

This diner is so disappointing. I was here for dinner tonight. Met up with some family friends. I was really Looking forward to my chicken strips and this is what happened: the server brought over my food and had to reach over and accidentally nudged a chicken strip off my plate and landed on the table. He picks it up with a napkin and puts it back on my plate on top of my non tainted food! I was in shock. All in all servers should receive proper training. No apology or anything! He didn’t offer to change my meal instead just walked away. What kind of customer service is this? I am disgusted with this restaurant etiquette and I am so Unsatisfied. Stay away from the server Miguel. Never again!!!

My husband and I went to Ruby’s last week for lunch and our experience couldn’t have been better. Our food was brought out to us by the manager himself with an apology for the length of time it took for us to get served. He informed us that both of our lunches would be complimentary. We were surprised that he was aware of how long we had been waiting and that he actually did something to compensate for it. The food was good and we will definitely be returning to Ruby’s in the future.

I have fond memories of this place, since my sister used to work here in college, and I would visit her on occasion. Although I don’t live too far from this location, I haven’t been here since the last time my sister worked here. It was time to come back with the kids. Ruby’s is a nice diner with good food. We came a little before the dinner rush and were seated quickly. We were promptly greeted by our friendly server, who always had a smile on her face. She took our drink orders and returned quickly, always engaging the kids and making sure they had what they needed. What I like is that all of the food is delivered by runners, so you don’t have to wait for the server to keep going back and forth. I had the Albacore melt with a side of onion rings. Bad breath central, but I don’t care. The rings were a bit on the small side, so I could have used a few more on the plate. It was good, and not too greasy like most grilled sandwiches from a diner. My oldest had the guacamole burger and it looked delicious. My two other small ones had a kid’s hamburger and fries, which is just a plain burger, with nothing on it. It suited them fine. Since it was my oldest son’s birthday, the server returned with a complimentary sundae, which was loaded with chocolate syrup and larger than most restaurant gratis birthday ice cream sundaes. The kids’ meals came with a soft serve ice cream cone, which I helped my little one keep from melting all over himself. Hey, it’s a perk of the job ;-) I’ve been to the Ruby’s in Orange County and had a terrible experience there. This one was way better.

What the Hell? Again! I got a note from management asking me to give them a second chance so I went back to give this place a chance to get it right. My bill came. Well not my bill, it was the check for a table of people somewhere in the restaurant. But it was not my bill. I took it to the counter. «May I help you?» «This is not my bill» «It isn’t?» «Do I look like two people?» The check had #Party 2 printed on it. «Which table were you sitting at?» I pointed to the lone occupied table by the window. The woman at the counter said««This isn’t your bill. OK, your bill is $ 14.80» I handed her a $ 20 bill«I can’t take cash» NOTHING has changed at this Customer Service Clown School

What a f*ckin joke. It’s Sunday night 6th Sep. I go on Rubys web site to see when it closes. It says 9pm. I went down there it’s now 8:20pm and it’s closed. All the umbrellas are wrapped up so I’m guessing they shut at 8pm. I check my phone and look again at the web site and it’s still saying closes 9pm tonight.

Good food, decent service. Nothing to write home about. Milkshake was the best thing we got.

Eh. It’s great that this place has a retro vibe, but that doesn’t give them the right to let their ketchup bottles and menus get«retro» from not being cleaned and sanitized. The menus feel like they have had honey smeared all over them; they are so sticky! Once I grabbed them I imagined all the people who could have possibly touched them. I don’t want that image in my head when I’m about to eat. The service is alright– what I mean is that the waitresses and hosts do what you ask, but they aren’t happy about it. They don’t like their job and its sadly obvious. This chain of restaurants is all about smiles and the 50’s. yet the staff at this location is miserable. Food is OK. Hence the 3 stars. but the unsanitary conditions and the depressed staff just get the best of this place. Won’t be coming back.

A flash back to the past diner with the staff dressing the part. A burger and shake diner you would typically find in movies like Grease and American Graffiti(okay I dated myself). Started with one of Ruby’s famous shakes The Double Dark Chocolate Chip shake. Could be a little thicker but yum. Next The Cobb burger topped with bacon, bleu cheese, avocado, lettuce and tomato and side of garlic fries. The burger was different but good and the fries could be a little bit more crispier. Didn’t have room for dessert but the Ruby’s Sundae and Banana Split looked pretty tasty.

This place is awful. The service stinks and the food is absolutely 150% unedible and disgusting. I sat there for 45 minutes just for the waiter to take my order. The burgers were so vile and disgusting I felt so sick afterwords. Trust me stay the F*** away from this place.

A couple of years ago they would’ve gotten 4 or 5 stars… so my feeling is that they are in decline… as are many of the businesses in the promenade mall itself. Ruby’s has always been a great place to take the family. Shakes and fries and a fun 50s feel. The food has always been above average. The super burger is my go to here. Melted swiss with avocado sandwiched between grilled, parmesan sourdough bread. Sadly, during my visit last week, the meat wasn’t cooked well, the sourdough did not have its usual crispness and the fries were cold and soggy. Perhaps it was a combination of lack of patrons coupled with the downtrodden feel of the mall in which this Ruby’s is located, that just gave me an overall«downer» during my visit. This location was set to close a few months back, but they were able to negotiate something with Westfield which enabled them to stay. Sadly, if my last visit was any indication of their trend in food prep going forward, I don’t see how they will stay around long term. I hope they can turn things around a bit and stay open when The Village opens.

I’m afraid Ruby’s is going down hill. Although the service has improved, the menu is shrinking. Two of my favorites(the Hawaiian Burger and the turkey pot pie) have vanished from the menu. So now, unless I come in for breakfast, I will have to eat elsewhere.

The staff was super friendly but the food is just terrible. I got a patty melt. My burger had the texture of school meatloaf. It had caramelized onions but they tasted so weird, like they were cooked in french onion soup mix or something. I HATE wasting food so I tried to eat some of it and I just couldn’t. My boyfriend wasn’t happy with his food either. If just on food alone I would give 0 stars. Fortunately, the people who greeted us were nice as was our waiter. I would give the service 5 stars. But, a restaurant is mostly about the food and it was really bad.

It’s a stone’s throw from the AMC, and we didn’t want to be late for our movie. But from past experiences, I knew this place would disappoint me… and it did. The menu isn’t big at all, and has a few things other than burgers and shakes. I got the chicken tenders, and they were ok, but somewhat overcooked. The sauces were in ramekins, but I’m pretty sure they came from Heinz bottles. The 50s décor didn’t look shiny or anywhere close to new… they need to spruce it up, 50s style. Our server had difficulty communicating the bare essentials. They had a couple burger specials, but they weren’t on the menu so you couldn’t see what they were made of. Also, there’s a very small section on the menu for healthy options… they could easily double the options… but I’m not sure how«healthy» they’d be anyway. Skip it if you want good food. Go there if you’re really late for a movie… or maybe with kids(but there are better options with kids).

Ok so I came here to try it out with my little brother, we were killing time pre movie First let’s start with the fact that it’s creepy old diner setup. We ordered a salad and onion rings and my little bro got the cheeseburger with fries and we also got a Chinese chicken! The service was litterally nil. The food was oily and overlooked but still had too much flavor it was overly seasoned! Skip it unless your with little kids they like his stuff
