InVision Home Theater is a FIVE STAR company! From Ted Liu who managed our AV remodel project, to the meticulous installers, the workmanship was great as is the update of our entertainment system and the installation of an outdoor television. Installers were very detail oriented, and went out of their way to keep their work area tidy. Ted customized our system to meet our needs, and provided us with professional guidance and exceptional support before, during, and after the project was complete. I highly recommend InVision Home Theater for their outstanding customer service, and quality product line; they’re simply the BEST!

I highly recommend this outfit. Ted organized a sophisticated upgrade to our WiFi system, hardwired our main TV, and gave us impeccable service from start to finish (note: these people are punctual). Ted even stopped by before working hours to patiently answer some questions after the installation, then returned a few days later to make an adjustment that anyone else would have put off for weeks. We now have super-​fast internet speeds and a very stable connection all over the house. Will definitely use InVision again.

This company did a fantastic job modernizing my current sound system to Sonos. The final bill came in WAY below the estimate and the job was completed a week early! Who does that! I couldn’t be happier with the end result. Well deserved FIVE star rating…

We chose InVision for our whole house home theater /​audio system upgrade. Sean Mendell consulted with us, listened to our wish list, and recommended a complete audio system (receiver, amplifier, Sonos, in ceiling speakers and universal remote) to match with our existing TV /​DVD and provide the home theater and whole house sound system we were looking for. The InVision team is very knowledgeable and professional, showed up on time for the installation, and cleaned up each day before leaving.
They installed the new system including in-​ceiling speakers in 4 different rooms with separate volume controls, and even rewired our existing outdoor speakers (correcting our less than perfect DIY attempt). We now have separate zones for the TV room vs. rest of house and patio, and can watch TV while listening to music in other rooms or outside.
The Sonos system Sean recommended is fantastic — controlled wirelessly via ipad or iphone, with access to Pandora, internet radio stations, and even our own stored music. The universal remote with touch screen is great too. With the push of one button it turns on/​off the appropriate devices and settings for your selection (TV, DVD, Sonos, Apple TV, etc.). Much easier and cleaner than the 5 remotes we used to have…

I have spent 6 years in my new house struggling with my cable company and then along came Sean and his band of merry men! Well for the first time, I now have wifi that works in a house with walls which are too thick, a wireless stereo system in several rooms all controlled by my cell phone, and my smart tv brings anything into my little den with ease. After having weekly trouble shooting by the cable company, I now have all sorts of free time not having to be on the phone waiting for tech support! Awesome!
InVision also has my vote for being schedule friendly and on time, clean and unbelievably tidy. The shelf space for the modem, dvr, cable box and dvd player is minimal and was neatly arranged so that I hardly see any wires! Yay for good feng shui!

Highly recommend this team for all a/​v type work. These guys show up and work hard, and provide a high quality product upon completion. Super clean and most importantly — you can trust them. Don’t hesitate to bring them into your house and allow them to discuss your requirements.

After many years of wifi problems and internet issues, finally found Ted. Ted came over and assessed the issues and came up with a plan. After talking more, we decided to add some additional options that he recommended. He was very polite and respectful and so was his employee. Plus they made sure to thoroughly clean up after working. We finally have NO internet /​wifi issues! Thank you Ted.

Ted provides solutions not just audio systems. We had some unique constraints and goals with our audio visual system and Ted presented some creative solutions. He helped us choose alternatives that met our goals within our budget. The final install including interior and outdoor systems is great. I recommended Ted to family & friends and they have been pleased as well.

My experience with Affordable Home Solutions A/​V has been great since the start. I was originally referred to Sean by a friend, and I contacted him and a few other A/​V companies for quotes on my home theater project. I won’t go into details about my experiences with the other companies, but Sean went above and beyond my expectations to make sure I was satisfied with my project. Sean actually recommended some other companies to me when I said I was getting other quotes. I ended up choosing Sean not because of the price but because he returned my calls, answered my questions, and worked (without complaint) within my budget. This wasn’t a $ 100,000 system, far from it, but Sean and his staff treated me as if it was. I debated over TV’s and probably called Sean six different times to discuss my options. If Sean wasn’t available, his office manager was and always passed my questions along and I would hear from Sean within a couple hours. I never felt pressured to make a decision and Sean actually encouraged me to break the project into stages. He let me demo a sound bar for a couple weeks before I made up my mind, and even had me come to his personal house to hear his system.
The installation went smoothly, the technicians looked professional and clean, but they couldn’t finish absolutely everything in the time we had scheduled since I added a few things after scheduling the work. Not a problem, Sean made sure my system was hooked up enough to use in the mean time, and his technician returned a few days later to finish up programming the remote. If you are looking for a customer-​oriented company that actually listens to you and treats you like a human this is definitely the one to go with.

Ted set up our system in our new home. There was some things already in place. He came out and made suggestions. He gave us multiple options. I had just bought a few things, which he made it all work together well. It took 2 days. Everything works great. All his suggestions worked out great. What’s more important is that even months after the installation he is still available anytime I call him with an issue. He’s very knowledgeable and honest.
He gave me a detailed line item of everything he was recommending. I looked each one up on amazon. His prices were only a bit more (on a couple of items, most were the same as Amazon). Initially I was going to order the receiver from Amazon. I’m glad I didn’t make that mistake. The receiver wasn’t working well, but since I purchased it from Ted he replaced. I didn’t have to worry about returning it myself. Then having Ted come back… as you can imagine it would have been very inconvenient!
Now I’m going to have Ted come expand my system.
Update…I’ve needed Ted a couple of times since the installation and each time he has made time to come out quickly. Almost 2 years after initial installation I can still count on getting the same great customer service. If you read my other reviews you can see that most contractors have great customer service until they get your money.

We were planning a living room remodel including a new home theater setup and although our job was a relatively straightforward and small, Sean gave us the level of attention as if it were a much larger one. We could tell from our first meeting that he really cared about getting it right and accommodated the adjustments to the timeline due to issues we had with our contractor. He took great care in customizing our system to our needs and after installation has since been available and happy to troubleshoot and assist as needed. We would highly recommend working with Sean!

I always though that my tv looked ok on my tv stand but WOW what a difference. I had my 55″ flat screen and my 53″ mounted on the walls. I have so much more room in my bedroom and family room and the space looks much cleaner. I can’t get over how nice it looks having the wires hidden (instead of zip tied like I had them). The viewing angle is also better in my bedroom so I can watch tv mor comfortably. Their van is clean and professional looking while the installer was also. I was even given suggestions for future upgrades to my a/​v system. I asked for business cards to give to my friends and family.

Ted installed a complete multi-​zone (indoor/​outdoor) system with remote controlled lighting. It was very cost effective and has worked liked a charm. Many bells and whistles setup to operate in a easy to operate manner.

Ted from JR Sound has done an amazing job setting up our home audio system. He gave us an estimate and talked us through the entire process. He came in an installed a great system on time and within budget. He cleaned up and left the house in better condition that it was before he installed the system. He also provided greating coaching on how to use the system. He’s made himself available to provide tweaks and support when needed. Amazing customer service. GO TED!

Definitely glad I got ahold of this company. Sean was very thorough in explaining the whole process on what I needed and or wanted but didn’t try to upsell me on anything. Which is always a nice touch when dealing in home theaters. I’ve had most try to convince me of something I know I will NEVER need or use or know how to use it. I am not that technologically advanced.
Sean was patient and was fast with his install. I had some quotes and bids that I thought were fair but when compared to Lamorinda Home Theater, were outrageous! I understand you pay for quality but when you are looking at double to triple the charge, its absurd! Sean is more than qualified. And Sean really loves what he does! You can tell in the way he explained everything. I’ve never seen so much passion.
You guys are really missing out on quality service at a more than reasonable price. I think he should have charged me more for what I got. I can’t say thank you enough! I will recommend you to everyone and all that I know!

JR Sound & Video and Ted Liu did a totally amazing job hooking up the TV and sound system for our house! We recently bought a house where the owners left old TVs and miles of cable in the attic that didn’t seem to work. Ted made complete sense of it all and helped us to update our TV and sound system, and we couldn’t be happier.
He outlined a plan for removing the old stuff, and made great recommendations for the new TV, receivers and other equipment. He did a phenomenal job installing everything, and now we have a home theater that entire family really enjoys. It’s amazing how many cables are hooked into things, and you can’t see any of them.
Plus he found an external sound system for the backyard that I didn’t even know about, and that we’ve really enjoyed when we’re outside.
I HIGHLY recommend JR Sound & Video, totally knows his stuff and is great to work with!
