Early Elements Tutoring

My daughter attended a bilingual elementary school for K-​2^nd, then when I moved her into the local Walnut Creek public school, I quickly learned how, even what is considered to be one of the best public schools around, may not actually be the best for every child. As I began to explore all the educational options that may work better for my intuitive, creative, smart, social, mature, and athletic child, Amy had an arsenal of knowledge and experience beyond what anyone in the private school or public school was able to offer.
In terms of being an amazing teacher with resources and approaches both in and out of the mainstream educational box, Amy is truly exceptional. However, beyond her teaching and tutoring skills, she also really stands out as an advocate for children as individuals while being available to support the process of exploration that parents often come to when the current educational system is simply not working for their child.
Since leaving the public school in 3^rd grade, my daughter has worked with two other teachers independently and has attended two different schools. Math became the sore spot that plagued her… until she started to work with Amy. Now my daughter tells everyone that Miss Amy is her favorite teacher ever (and she has had some GREAT teachers!). I truly believe it is because Amy has the intuition, gift, and skills to meet her where she is at and then go from there. She also was able to teach math in a way that FINALLY clicked for my daughter, which has been vital to her confidence and continued success in whatever school she is in.
I highly recommend Amy for both parents and children!
