We will complete a walkthrough of your home so that you can point out items that will need special care, get the truck packed quickly and carefully, ensuring that the most important stuff is packed last for easy access, unload the truck quickly, and get all of your belongings in the correct room in your new home. History

Established in 2013.

Brian Scudamore, the founder of 1−800GOTJUNK saw an opportunity in the moving industry and founded You Move Me in 2013. It started when the movers he hired were unprofessional, broke things, and failed to demonstrate the standard of care one should expect from a moving company. In today’s competitive landscape a moving company cannot afford to be anything but exceptional. This notion gave Brian the inspiration to launch You Move Me.

Stepping into this industry as a newcomer requires a stellar service offering and Brian spent the better part of a year working closely with a group of executive leaders on the You Move Me brand philosophy, customer focus, and competitive advantages.

You Move Me’s mission statement is «We move you, not just your boxes.» It’s a short statement, with a promise to take care of your stress and emotional well-​being, leaving you moved — both physically and emotionally – by the service.

Business Owner

I got in to the moving business specifically because I’m looking to diversify my businesses. I find the moving industry is competitive but not very professional, leaving many customers unsatisfied with the service they get for one of the most important events of their lives.

When I learned about You Move Me, I felt that it was a great fit for me and my business philosophy. I believe You Move Me will change the industry and set a new standard for moving.

I grew up in the Bay Area and went to school at UC Berkeley. Other than being involved with You Move Me, I am also a franchisor for a restaurant chain in the Bay Area. My hobbies include reading, spending time with my two boys and playing basketball. I am a big fan of the Golden State Warriors.
