Boxes For Moving & Storage

We were impressed by the Unilocal reviews and so we came here to get boxes for our remodeling project. Our only disappointment was that we didn’t call ahead of time to warn the owner we wanted so many of the white file boxes with lids. He gave us all he had, and we settled for remainder in the large brown boxes with the flap lids you either tape or fold down.
He was a pleasure to do business with and we were in/​out quickly. The business has a shared parking lot so we were able to park right in front. Loaded the car up to the gills and off we went!

Boxes are cheaper than buying them from a moving company and decent quality but — after the move — do NOT bother to break them all down, put them in your car, and take to this place to resell. He gives you virtually NOTHING back for a box that is in good shape and has been used only once. Just take the cardboard to your recycle place instead and save yourself a major disappointment.

I have moved twice recently, and have come here for boxes. Hands down the best spot for all your moving needs. Owner is very nice and helpful in determining how many boxes you would need for the size of your home. Everything is neat as a pin and organized really well. I also love that you can come back with the boxes and get some money back for them. Highly recommend!

Great friendly service. I was not sure what exactly I would need and they took the time to explain the best method of selecting boxes and some really handy packing tips! Really good prices and they even will buy back the boxes when you are done. This guy knows how a business should be run

The gentleman who helped me was incredibly nice and knowledgable and he helped me load the boxes into my car. The prices here are cheaper than other places. When you finish using the boxes you purchase you can sell them back to the business for a portion of what you paid and they’ll be recycled.
I highly recommend this place!

Excellent service.
The owner greeted my very warmly when I walked in and was very knowledgeable of the supplies. I wasn’t entirely sure how much I needed but he gave me a guide with the amount of space I had to move and that was very helpful. He is very kind and compassionate and I respect that about a business owner. He even gave me a discount on the boxes and then offered to help me place them in the car.
I would most definitely recommend this place to my friends or family and I will be back if I ever need supplies again!

The gentleman who was selling the boxes was very nice and informative. Their prices were cheaper that any other place I looked into in east bay. He helped me fit the boxes in my small car.

We received a 10% off card from Boxes for Moving & Storage. Curious, I checked Unilocal for more information regarding this business. I was excited to find the reviews were very positive in all regards, from service to price. Money is a big concern for me and my family at this time and it was my fault that I did not compare prices at other places first to find the cheapest used moving boxes.
Everyone was right about the owner Phil, he is kind and very helpful. The prices however were almost double of what they would cost at Box Cycle. I bought 10 small (used) moving boxes at 1.35 each and 10 medium (used) moving boxes at 1.90 each. At Box Cycle the cost of a small used moving box is .75 cents each and the medium and large moving boxes are 1.00 each.
I appreciate that he reuses moving boxes and buys them back. I do think this is a great «green» service that he offers. I am moving out of the area and will not be selling the boxes back to him. Because of this, I feel as though his prices are NOT competitive and I can not afford to buy the rest of my moving boxes from him.

So there I was on my home to pack more of my crap getting ready to move. Had to stop by Costco to get that good cheap Costco gas. No sense in paying damn near 5 bucks for a gallon elsewhere when you have a Costco card! Anyhoot, I decided to take the short cut and avoid too many lights I had too much to pack to dilly dally around town. Saw this place as I was making a right on Whitman from Detroit ave. Had to make a you-​wee (U-​turn) to go back and enter the parking lot since I’d initially driven past it. I had just pulled up on time to buy a few boxes, some tape and a couple of mattress covers all for the same price I’d bought 4 boxes alone at the local shipping depot earlier that day! Needless to say his prices for boxes were beyond reasonable! I will be coming here for all my packing and or shipping needs from now on! And the guy who runs it is super nice and chivalrous! He helped me pack everything into my already packed car! Can’t remember his name for the life of me right now, but thank you so much sir! Also, I want to add in a plus here he said that after I’m done with the boxes, he buys them back! How cool is that?! No wasting! Being green is always a plus! If you need boxes, you can’t beat Boxes for Moving & Storage. Phil the owner is honest, ethical, and very helpful. Plus, he is one of the nicest guys you ever meet. He has a great selection of boxes and packing material that you won’t find at the big box national chains. They are located on the corner with free parking, so it’s easy in and out.

I first walked in not knowing anything about which boxes to buy, how many etc., but Phil was kind and advised me on which boxes I needed for the things I was packing.

This place is great! Highest quality boxes, New and used, unbelievable prices! The only place to get boxes ! if they don’t have it, they’ll order it. Got my special order bed boxes in one day at half the price of anybody else.. twice the thickness too !

Stopped by and spoke to the owner of this establishment and he quoted me some numbers for my upcoming move. They are much lower than most moving services and give you the option to sell them back. You can buy new boxes or used boxes. Then he buys them back. You probably will get 40 or 50 cents back per box but it is better than most places that don’t buy them back. Highly recommended if you have never moved a household before. He will remind you to buy Tape, bubble wrap, newspaper, peanuts, dish packs etc. Stuff you will need when you start packing. Great service and place.

I stopped by earlier today after having gotten a ridiculous quote on boxes from a major storage company. I wanted to get a better deal and I’m always happy to support the small business owner when I can.
The warehouse had so many boxes to choose from (although I only needed one size today) so I’m sure he would have whatever you need.
I was greeted immediately and given great help. The price was far better than the storage company was going to give me. He even helped me load my car.
I’m going back later this week to get more boxes for my move!

I was referred to Boxes for Moving & Storage by United Van Lines who I contracted with to move me across country next month. Phil Morisey is the business owner and a more pleasant person simply cannot be found. Not only did I arrive at his location a tad bit early this morning, but he was already open and ready to do business.
Phil was very helpful, not pushy, and had a great sense of humor. My moving company gave me a list of the size and number of boxes that I would need and Phil methodically gathered the boxes and offered many helpful hints. When it came to the dish packs… I was clueless. Phil explained the differences between them. Since I have a china service for 12, he quickly helped me decide what to do since the dish packs come in service sizes for 8 and 6.
This place also has moving pads, bubble wrap, packing paper, mattress bags, and anything else you may need to moving securely.
If you are moving locally, Phil will buy back your boxes as well. I’m hoping to find a similar service in Indy where I am relocating so that I can sell back some of my boxes.

Not wanting to pay for boxes that I will use once and not wanting to stalk Craigslist or moving boxes, I found Boxes for Moving & Storage near my home.
It’s in a less-​traveled area and unless you have business to attend to here, you probably would never even know about it. But thanks to Unilocal and the internet that may change.
If you know what you want, you can call in your order ahead of time. And then you can sell them back again once you are done with them.
Customer service is good when you are being served but one person can only handle one thing at a time. When I was there, the owner got sidetracked and I would have had to wait a lot longer but his customer took pity on me and let me go first.
