Hooping is a fun, creative way to work out and express yourself. An increasingly popular way to exercise, hooping is also a new form of dance and performance art. Tone your core, arms, legs and gluts while getting a cardio work out, learning a new skill, increasing your coordination and having FUN while you do it! You will not feel like you’re burning 600 calories per hour as you challenge yourself to learn the endless amount of tricks and dance moves the hoop has to offer. Hoops will be available to borrow in class and can be purchased from our Unity Hoops Etsy Shop so you can practice at home! History

Established in 2008.

Valentina (Unity) started hooping in 2007, she started teaching hoop dance and supplying local San Diego hoopers with handmade hoops in 2008. She has been making, selling hoops and teaching around the world ever since then! This versatile, vivacious, vaudevillian vixen, Valentina dazzles audiences around the world with her unique vision of circus dance fusion. Sharing her magic in both performance and workshops is her passion and drive. Valentina is a second generation belly dancer who was raised in the Los Angeles underground art scene by her mother, Leela, a successful theatrical belly dance icon. Valentina now blends belly dance with hooping, fire, burlesque and hoop juggling. Her ability to seamlessly combine these art forms gives her a provocative style unlike any other. She is the leader of The Hoop Unit, the Vaudeville Vixens, one half of Twisted Orbit, a hoop fabricator and an event producer.
