History

Established in 2008.

Valentina has been teaching and performing burlesque since 2008. She has recently formed a professional burlesque showgirl troupe, the Vaudeville Vixens. They have a student counterpart, which are made up of the women that take Valentina’s classes and perform what they’ve learned in her productions. Burlesque for Valentina has always been about multi-​tasking. How many different mind-​boggling circus skills can she master WHILE taking it off? So far she has become one of the most celebrated Hoop-​Burlesque performers in the world, and that is only the beginning! She has also successfully fused belly dancing, sword balancing, fire dancing and snake charming with burlesque. Her approach to burlesque has become a form of expression that inspires other people to love their bodies as much as she is enjoying hers on stage. Truly feeling sexy and sensual on stage gives others the permission and courage to feel the same way about themselves, and THAT is why she does it!

This versatile, vivacious, vaudevillian vixen, Valentina dazzles audiences around the world with her unique vision of circus dance fusion. Sharing her magic in both performance and workshops is her passion and drive. Valentina is a second generation belly dancer who was raised in the Los Angeles underground art scene by her mother, Leela, a successful theatrical belly dance icon. Valentina now blends belly dance with hooping, fire, burlesque and hoop juggling. Her ability to seamlessly combine these art forms gives her a provocative style unlike any other. She is the leader of The Hoop Unit, the Vaudeville Vixens, one half of Twisted Orbit, a hoop fabricator and an event producer.
