A friend referred me to Dr Decker about two years ago and he now has my loyalty for as long as I have teeth .
He is so gentle with administering shots that I hardly notice.
He has refilled about 6 of my teeth and each filling was done quickly and painlessly even without laughing gas (although it is offered).
I’ve had no lingering issues after the work was completed.
As for his support staff, they are amazing, friendly, caring and professional.

I’ve been coming here for years despite living all the way up in Escondido – that is how good they are! I have a long history of fear and distrust of dentists, but I am very comfortable with both Dr. Decker and Dr. McClanahan. They office staff is super nice and helpful as well. I almost hate to recommend them because I don’t want their office to get too busy for me…

DR. Deckers staff is amazing! From their attention to detail when it comes to researching your benefits, quoting your price for what needs to be done and what can wait. They have such a caring, peaceful way about them that, I feel, no matter your stress level might be about what your having done, they will make you feel at peace and comforted. I been a patient of Dr McClanahan for over 25+ years I totally trust him and his colleagues they offer many solutions for me I have beautiful teeth and difficult issues when they arise. Since I’m a baby when it comes to my teeth they always keep me comfortable. They are great in patient care. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. I am a coward when it comes to dentists and they always make me feel very comfortable. The dentist Dr. MCCLANAHAN is extremely gentle and caring. I am not one for going to the dentist, so when I found this one I knew I hit the jack pot, so to say! I couldn’t be more pleased with the quality of service I received. The most pleasant experience I’ve ever had at the dentist. I’ve never had to wait to be seen when I had an appointment ;I was seen right on time every time. The front office staff is friendly as well as helpful with any questions or paperwork and insurance if needed. I had all my questions answered so I felt very comfortable when speaking to the Dr. before I agreed to my dental procedures. Every visit I have had here I am called or text afterwards to see how I am feeling or if I have any questions or concerns; talk about the dedication to patients care. I have been going to Dr. Decker for 10 years and there is a good reason.
I had been traumatized by dentist as a child. I was reluctant to see a dentist, but I needed some work done. I did my homework and got positive reviews on Dr. Decker.
I made an appointment with him and relayed my concerns and nervousness. I was also embarrassed by my teeth. Dr. Decker assured me that he could help and he didn’t judge me or make me feel embarrassed about the condition of my teeth. He suggested that I use nitrous oxide, which would relax me and help with my anxiety. It worked like a charm. I actually look forward to going to the dentist now.
Dr. Decker doesn’t do it alone. He has an awesome staff that greats you like a friend and they always bring a smile to your face. After a visit there, you will want to smile.
I just lost a filling on a recent vacation. I talked to his staff yesterday and they said that Dr. Decker could get me in this morning. I went in expecting to have him make me an appointment for a later date. I left an hour later with a new filling and my smile back.

I have been coming to see Dr. Decker for close to 20 years. They treat me like family. They are the best in San Diego. The front desk personnel, assistants, hygienist Bobbie and Dr. Decker are very kind and caring. They have done wonderful work for me and I would recommend them to everyone. They use laughing gas if you need it for your cleanings. I have had major work done there and have been very happy to keep coming back! They also are very good with children. They accept most insurance and are very up front with costs. They do not pressure you to do things, but will always recommend the best plan for what you need. 10 stars!
