Carpeteria Carpet One Floor & Home

We followed Christine Green to Carpet One from her previous employer. That is how much we like and believe in her. After our recent flood, she helped us pick out and gave us a great deal on new wood floors. Even though we weren’t a huge sale, Christine spent alot of time with us, showed us their selection and made recommendations as to what she believed would work best for our situation. She is extremely personable and knowledgable about her business. She’s also very fun to work with.

Just had my Vinyl (planks) installed. I’m very happy with service I received. Tony work with me from getting a quote, to final installation. Tony went beyond the call of duty. The crew he sent was the best I’ve seen. Very nice, very affection, cleaned up after words. I will use them again in the future!

Update after instillation:
After my review, my husband contacted the sales person «H» again to make sure when the work would be done. «H» said that it would definitely be done the next day of the cutoff. On the next day, our tenant was concerned and went to the house to see the progress. The installer told our tenant that he would not be able to finish it within the day. Ok, «H» apparently did not communicate with the installer again.
Like someone says here, the owner seems to check Unilocal reviews very often in that he contacted me shortly after my review. He admitted that the internal communication had not been very good. He kindly offered to give us discount, but it was not enough to cover the credit that we ended up giving to the tenant (The work delayed for 3 days in total).
The work was done beautifully that made our tenant and ourselves a bit happier. The owner mentioned that he would talk about this matter in the next meeting so I would hope Carpeteria customers should be informed in a timely manner if any delays or updates.

Extremely disappointed in this unprofessional business; Carpeteria Miramar location, and we wish we had read Unilocal reviews, especially negative ones first.
We have worked with a sales person named «H» He seemed a relaxed matured gentleman, however, he does not seem care about his customers so much. That was my first impression about him.
After a few visits to Carpeteria, my husband and I decided to have laminate flooring installed for our rental property. We clearly told «H» when our tenant would be moving in, and we have even reminded him a few times about the cutoff date, even on the day of installment planned. «H» kept saying everything is all set.
We went to our property around 5PM to see the work; the day before our tenant wanted to move in. Guess what we saw? The boxes of flooring pieces were just sitting in the house. My husband called the salesperson «H» right away, but «H» said the installation department was already closed and he did not know why the flooring was not installed.
The next day, no update from «H.» That makes me even more upset.
So, my husband contacted the install department directly without talking to «H.» The person from the install department said that the laminate didn’t get delivered until midday.
Ok…I know people make mistakes all the time. It’s possible the items arrive late. But Carpeteria could have given us the update. Carpeteria has our phone number and they should also have installer’s cell phone numbers to reach in case of urgent matters. I am pretty sure all installers carry a cell phone. 95% of Installers are Carpeteria employees… right?!
Because of this unprofessional customer service, our tenant was not able to move in the date that they have originally planned. Does Carpeteria attitude look like caring their customers?!
BTW, Carpeteria manager’s response on Unilocal by saying «we can’t seem to match your order with your name.» is silly. Carpeteria management should know many Unilocal reviewers use nick name for Unilocal account.

We just purchased a home and wanted to have the flooring/​carpet removed and put in new flooring. This is an area that I new little about, besides what I read on Google. I looked at Carpeteria first, and shopped a few others as well (highly rated on Unilocal.) I will tell you that Sean and Carpeteria were by far the best. He was honest, so easy to work with, and the finished product looks great.
The positives:
~ The tell you pricing up front. My goodness, some other companies were so coy with their pricing that I felt like I was dealing with used car dealership. Sean told us prices, and helped us stay within our budget.
~ Product knowledge. We weren’t sure about going with laminate flooring, hardwood (much more expensive) or LVT/​LVP, especially in the wake of the 60 Minutes special about laminate (outing Lumber Liquidators). We ended up using laminate, and were very confident that the product we are putting in our home not only looks good but is safe for our two small children.
~Process. It was easy with the removal and installation. The timeline that we were quoted was about a week from start to finish, and it took about that long. We were able to live in our home throughout and the carpet removal and installation was very quick. The flooring took a few days because we had existing tile that was removed, and some of the laminate boards had to be cut to specific lengths. Oh we also had baseboard installed — pretty easy too.
~ The workers. We hit the jackpot with our guy who lead the laminate installation (Luis). He was so professional, dillegent, polite, and competent. He cleaned every day after he was done as well.
The cons:
~ Up front, Sean said that they may not be the cheapest vendor. That was probably true, but we chose to pay a bit more and the service and product we received met our expectations.
I’d highly recommend shopping around and looking for what meets your needs, but Sean and Carpeteria are an excellent choice.

I went to Carpeteria Carpet One 100% certain that I would not be buying carpet here. I was just looking at carpet which was to be installed by Alpine Carpet One. Because of this I did not expect good service when I told the employee what I was up to… but I was totally proven wrong.
The employee I worked was very helpful and spent almost half an hour helping me to look at and compare different carpets. This is totally unprecedented, and unlike almost any other experience I have ever had with a salesperson.

We have been customers of Carpeteria Carpet One for over 20 years.
For our recent project, we used an interior designer to help with our home remodel. The designer picked at beautiful carpet sample with a nice pattern in it. We took the sample to our Carpeteria Carpet One salesperson, Jack who very awesome through the whole process. Jack took the sample and after a few days called us and told us he found the carpet our interior designer recommended. Shortly thereafter, we got the call the carpet was in and ready to install. The installers came out and did a fantastic job installing our new carpet. They spent extra time making sure that the carpet was laid out the way my Wife requested. The installation team was professional, courteous, and finished the job ahead of schedule.
I can without hesitation recommend Carpeteria Carpet One. They are true professionals that offer the highest quality products at very competitive prices. Their customer service is second to none.

I want to say Thank You to Carpeteria Carpet One​in Miramar, 18 years ago Carpeteria in Oceanside install carpeting in our home and over the years the carpet has held up extreamly well but was getting loose and needed to be streched again, we called Carpeteria Carpet One to hire someone to stretch the carpet. They came out and stretched the carpet and repaired a tear one of the dogs made at no charge saying lifetime warranty on installation
When I’m ready to buy carpeting again you can bet I will be calling Carpeteria Carpet One.

Remodeled flooring in bedroom and bath. Great experience from start to finish. Mark came out to bid the job… friendly, professional, knowledgeable. We knew what we wanted and he was able to quickly pull everything together.
I was worried about the install because they had to do some demolition of the tile floor in the bath, then remove the carpeting in the bedroom, and then make everything look integrated/​perfect. Again, the experience was unbelievably easy, and the results were amazing. Luis and his team of installers took care of all the little problems that pop-​up during these kinds of projects. They were in and out in a 2 ½ days. Highly recommended.

When I need carpet again, I will definately return to Carpeteria Carpet One. Our sales consultant, Sean Moran, was attentive and informative and provided us with excellent customer service. There was an issue with the first carpet choice that we made, and he coordinated a complete replacement of the carpet at no charge. All staff that we came in contact with were professional and accommodating. We are completely satisfied with our carpet and the service we received. I have recommended Sean and the company to several friends.

I cannot recommend this company more highly. This is the second time I have used Carpeteria and both times the selection and workmanship were outstanding. I shopped around to find a better deal on my last carpet installation and found that many companies never bothered to follow up or had me contact subcontractors for them to get a complete price. Hugo is very knowledgeable about the best flooring for a variety of uses and has a keen eye for decorating colors and textures. Their crew is generally full time employees of Carpeteria and are dedicated to excellent work. I had difficult, fully wrapped stairs in my condo and the guys were here until 8:00 p.m. to get the work done as promised. Their pricing is reasonable and their service and follow-​up are outstanding, particularly in this business. I love that I did not have to worry or manage the installation and have full confidence the job would be done right.

Buying laminate flooring when yours gets ruined by bursting pipes or toilet isn’t fun. Visited several places, one recommended by homeowners insurance adjuster, and realized it was about the same as haggling for a used auto! Fortunately, Carpet 1 was also recommended by my agent and turned out very well. Tony in sales was responsive and straightforward. Their installation crew of Michael and Maverik were great– an excellent job– on time. Pleased to recommend them.

Nov. 13.2013: Deposit check made to carpet one and was told to wait for 10 days for installation.
Nov. 25.2013: Really upset with this Carpeteria carpet one. They can’t keep their promise. I waited 13 days for nothing not even a call to tell me my installation will be delayed.
Nov. 26.2013: Salesman took the responsibility. The management responded to customer’s concerns. It shows they care about their customers.
Dec.5. 2013: They came and installed the carpet as promised this time. Alex, the owner called and left me a message about the installation. (5 star for this part)
I signed off the installation for 5 star; However, I would take it back the 5 star installation now because I suffer from multiple puncture wounds by their carpet installation stables they left behind on the carpet while we were relocating furnitures around the house.
BTW: The healthier Living Flooring installation system booklet they give us when we visiting the store was to make us feel better about the installation. They only brought in a household vacuum to clean it up after the installation. (no cleaning before installation; we had to clean heavy dust after the installation but they did spray something to kill germs).

Dec 10. Management called and asked about the installation. I explained and they said they are going to find out more information about my claim. (management at five star status).

I was very happy with the work they did. We had new floor replaced because of a leak a few months ago because our neighbor upstairs was careless.
Patti came to speak with us about what kind of floor we would like to get installed, and was extremely friendly and easy to get ahold of. The whole process was SO STRESSFUL only because the leak was worse than they thought so the installation was pushed back, but that wasn’t their fault. They were so helpful and easy to communicate with (thank you iPhones) and Franco was the one who came to do chemical testing on the cement. He had to come back a few times because the test wasn’t dry enough, and he was the BEST. So funny, friendly, everything. All the people I spoke with were great, I totally trusted them in our home.
I recently had to call back because the original gentlemen didn’t glue down the pieces that separate the wood from the tile, and I spoke with John who was SO NICE. They came out the next morning to fix it for no cost! Very happy with them, they made it easy for us during the most stressful time of my life. I hope no one has to go through what we did, but luckily they were professional and made it stress free!

Sal the salesperson was helpful and worked within our budget. Daryl the installer was excellent, very professional, trustworthy and an expert in flooring and baseboard. This was a decent sized project, whole home laminate flooring along w/​baseboard. Very pleasantly surprised by the entire process. I visited and researched several flooring companies and Carpeteria was the best.
People should expect good prices, excellent work and a company they can trust. Backed by guarantee, go with Carpeteria.

Bought some carpet here and had in installed, a wool berber I’ve used before in other houses. It’s available in wide rolls so it could fit my master without a seam. The salesman came and measured, and wrote up the order, and verified all seams would be under the doors. The installers came and when they were done I had two very visible seams, one in the middle of the hallway, one in the master bedroom. Both were completely unnecessary as I ordered enough carpet to do it all without seams. I was not happy at all, crappy installers ruined an otherwise good purchase.
Edit: Sold the place, the carpet was still OK, I got over the seams which never went away with time and vacuuming, but did get less visible.
Bumped up to a 3, price was good, carpet was good, installation had more seams than necessary but held up.

Installation of carpet in a rental was very satisfactory.
No high pressure sales. Good selection of carpets.
Hugo informative and straightforward.
No hidden fees, upcharges etc. Final amount paid was the amount quoted.
Some other carpet places are worse than used car dealerships in sales technique.
Carpeteria was flexible in changing the install date with only a few days notice.
A slight disconnect between the label/​name on the carpet delivered and the the carpet name in the store. But it looks & feels the same and I’m happy with it.
Installers ARE employees of carpeteria. Competent, respectful and even showed up early for the install.
I would use carpeteria again.

Had my carpets done by Carpeteria on Miramar Rd. Hugo Repetto did the job right, the work was done on time as promised. Price was quoted up front and no surprises. The installers are also very professional. Lifetime warranty on installation. They did not even ask twice, they simply sent over an installer to repair the seam at no additional charge.

I recently moved into a new office space and it was very apparent that we needed some new flooring to exude the professional look my firm needs to portray. After some research and compiling quotes from various flooring companies I settled on Carpeteria, not only because of the name, but my experience with the salesperson Hugo was a favorable one.
We were really working within a certain price range (if you have ever had to set up a new office, you know how all the little things add up!) and Hugo was able to bring me samples of various types of flooring to choose from. I picked out a reasonably priced carpet that looks very nice! The installation was fairly harmless and they took care of the job in just a few days.
I had a good experience and would recommend Carpeteria to any of my family or friends.

I dealt with Carpeteria twice now. First when I moved into a new house in 1999 and today 2010 when attempting to return wood flooring. The laminate wood flooring was not easy to install and when we brought the samples back to the store it was difficult. Imagine trying to do a whole house when two pieces were difficult. I showed the sales woman samples I used before that had tongue and groove along the sides but the ends butt together and locked. This is much easier to install because no tapping is needed.
The problem I had with Carpeteria is that they say things that they can’t promise. The sales woman at the Miramar location had a condesending attitude and it set me off. After all, I’m a customer! I made a scene in the store. Unfortunately, there was not too many customers there and I’m not the type to get angry in public.
Lesson learned: If you plan to install laminate wood flooring yourself be sure to get the type that does not require tapping into place. I had good luck with Home Depot floating engineered wood. Otherwise, hire someone to do it for you.
