Our lawn needed a good aeration and still does after Rankin did their version of aeration. The only positive I can say is that they showed up when they said they would. They completed the job in about 10 minutes and did a poor job. Many missed spots and never did an area that I specifically asked them to do. The fertilizer they put down was so sparse that I’m sure it will do little good. All in all not a good experience and pretty much of a waste of $ 70. I would not recommend them to anyone to do aeration.

I am a SUCKER, I paid in advance for aeration to front and back yard. Well they got the front yard but never did the back yard. After several calls and text messages I have not heard back from them. I will NEVER use them and I will tell all my neighbors about these theives. Orange County.

Apparently they made it all the way from San Diego up to Orange County in the last 3 years. They now place bright yellow NOTICE signs taped to your house. These are very similar to the local Police/​Fire departments notices in our area (typcially for eviction or condemned buildings/​etc). If this doesn’t give you a scare right away, I’m sure this company probably will after hearing all the reviews. What kind of company asks for a check before you even get an estimate or meet the sales person? This company preys on the busy and uninformed.

Would give 0 stars if possible. Will NEVER use this company after they taped a hot pink flyer to my driveway, which my sprinklers got, and I now have a stain on my cement. How unprofessional. Also, their website on their flyer isn’t even a real website. Find a real company to do stuff don’t use these people.

Responded to flyer taped to the side of my home. Called and requested the full lawn service. Only available time they could come out was Saturday between 7am– 11am. I requested the earliest time possible and explained that I would be taking the day off work for this. They committed to making my home one of the first three Saturday morning. I waited. and waited… and waited. Then received a text at 1045am stating that they would be there at, or a little after 11am. I waited… and waited. and waited… They never showed up. I missed an entire day’s pay. There is definitely an integrity problem with this company, I couldn’t be more disappointed. (I should have read the Unilocal reviews prior to calling them).

Today, I arrived home to a flyer TAPED to my stucco.
1) I have a no soliciting sign. Respect it.
2) do not tape anything to people’s homes.
3) tape does not attach to stucco so your fliers are now blowing around our neighborhood and we have to clean it up.
4) most importantly: you need a new marketing person.
The first thing your annoying flyer did was offend me. «WHEN DID YOU STOP CARING?», it reads. So you are implying I don’t care about my (beautiful) lawn. Next, you tell me I don’t care about customer service or communication, implying my lawn care provider doesn’t speak English and provides poor service. NEITHER of which are true, but that is also very offensive to me AND our lawn care provider. And because you haven’t pissed people off enough, you close by stating «Our friendly, ENGLISH SPEAKING staff…» in caps, because let’s offend people one more time! Then you post your company name in teeny tiny print, like you are embarrassed to tell people who you are AND you state (in tiny print, of course) that your fees are much higher than you state on the promotion, so you are actively tricking people! Ugh!
Every other review here is negative also, which doesn’t surprise me one bit.
You all sound like a bunch of jerks and due to this flyer alone, I will not only never EVER use your company, but I will actively tell people not to use your services.
Start respecting people’s «no soliciting» signs, come pick up all this litter you have left in our clean neighborhood and STOP OFFENDING PEOPLE with your marketing!
Unilocal needs to start allowing ZERO stars for a company like this.

Do not trust this company or Jack Rankin with anything. They make sure to collect your fee and never fulfill their job. I paid him by leaving a check under my doormat trusting him and his crew would do what they promised, but they came in and did a partial job half assed job. He acts like he wants to fulfill his commitment later and is full of excuses, but never does. I called probably 10 times and just gave up. Hopefully you see all of these negative reviews on Unilocal and find another company.

After seeing the flyer i decided to give them a try, setting up an appointment was fine, they said they would come on the weekend between 7am and 11am, after showing close to 1pm they didnt do a decent job. They missed a lot of areas on my lawn and they didnt even leave a receipt, dont try this company!!!

Also got a notice from this company about lawn aeration… set up an appointment with them (actually talked to them and had a SET TIME). They were a NO SHOW– and didn’t return my calls when I called to ask them what happened!!!

Apparently these people are now in the Lawn Aeration business since the phone number and email address match the annoying advertisement that was TAPED ONTO MY HOUSE today!!! Yea, it was a pink piece of paper titled NOISE NOTICE (wtf does that even mean?). It was physically TAPED onto the house and if my paint was actually decently nice I’d be furious. It ruined the crappy paint I have on my house. What gives these people the audacity to actually tape something to my house? Who knows? Who cares? I just want them to know that its REALLY NOT APPRECIATED! The craziest part of the whole thing… I don’t even have grass! Seriously? They couldn’t tell that? Even if i did have a lawn, and even if I was in the market for this scam of a business… this advertisement would discourage me from using them. Go tape a noise notice to your forehead and get out of my yard!
