Had David Fear come out and service our unit. Was prompt, polite, and got the job done. Even bought some girl scout cookies from my 6 year old! Double thumbs from me!

I’ve enjoyed my time at Big Mountain! Toby & Varin take very good care of their staff and Technicians! If I need something all I have to do is ask! Great place to work!

I was visiting my aunti who called BMHI to service her air conditioner while I was in town (thank goodness). I found them to be extremely courteous, knowledgeable and they did great work. I don’t usually leave reviews outside of my home city but I was that impressed with there level of professionalism. I highly recommend them and I know that if my aunti knew what Unilocal was she would too!

Dave Fear from Big Mountain came out and fixed my Ac system, he was very helpful in explaining everything and made sure I knew what he would be doing. Big Mountain did an excellent job and had expedited service so that I didn’t have to sit in the heat to long. Great customer service!!! in april we had Big mountain heating and Air come over and inform us of the energy efficient program thru YGRENE of sacramento county, we went thru the application process, got the approval and the program also included solar as well, we asked what size unit we needed and was told a 3 ton unit, and also this would included the rebates thru SMUD, fine then they called in may and set up a time to install the new HVAC, everything went ok!! new energy HVAC! WRONG!!! up until recently we was under the impression what we had installed was in fact an energy efficient unit, it wasnt!!! it barely meet the minimum standards and did not qualify for the rebate from SMUD, we waited from the middle of May till August that this system was a low level junk system, my old system was better than the one installed .I was not happy, I had been patiently waiting for word when the solar would be in stalled, this was another long drawn out lie and process!!! they applied for the permit on July 9^th about a week later I recieved a permit in the mail, I called Big Mountain and told them this, they seem puzzled and somewhat confused, still no solar! finally about 2 weeks later I got a call to schedule, August 14^th ok fine!!! came out and installed on friday then finished up saturday, still waiting for SMUD to install meter and put on line, thru out this whole process and numerous calls and how many times I was lied to this system was falsely represented by Big Mountain heating and air, I have filed complaints with the BBB and with the State, dont get pulled in to there lies and false representation of energy efficient products, it wont happen, my experience has cost me $ 29,817.they are liars and scam artists!

Poor quality work. Hired them to repair a roof-​mounted heat pump on a rental property.
Assumed the work was completed properly. It was NOT!
The repairman dismantled the unit and left the job. He did NOT return.
No one knew that (except the repairman) for over a week.
Tenant called again to say A/​C not working. Told me because of pleasant weather he hadn’t tried using it since the repairman from BMH&A was there.
I called a competing company to check the unit.
Repairman reported unit covers opened and laying on roof, unit wiring disconnected, capacitor bad. New (honest) repair company corrected the problem, reassembled the unit, and charged a fair price. Unit operated properly. Tenant happy.
I was promised a refund twice. After a year waiting I gave up. This company cheated me. They’ll never get repeat biz … ever!

Thank you Dave and Gabe from Big Mountain Heating and Air! You saved the day! I came home from grocery shopping, hands full of bags to a horribly hot house. Being 8 months pregnant along with a 5 yr old and 1.5 yr old, I knew I needed to get this fixed ASAP. I called and within just a few hours they were here to help! Thank you! Definitely will use this company again.

Just had new heating & air put in by Rod and his crew. They did a fantastic job! Rod knew what he was doing and obviously loves what he does.
John in the office was very helpful & David had great ideas on how to get the most efficiency out of a new system. Would highly recommend this company for anyone getting multiple estimates-​they will beat them all!

The owner himself gets on the radio & advertises & so we tried calling…
We got stood up on the appointment, when we called back our calls are not returned & so we give up on Big Mountain after 3 tries, just to get a quote on solar…
Generally when the service is this bad to buy a system, how bad will the repairs & warranty be?
We called back twice more & asked for a supervisor but they wouldn’t transfer to a supervisor & offered a couple of different excuses? Maybe they don’t want the boss to know? We left a phone number for a supervisor/​manager callback & have never got one? We get the impression that the staff are just goofing around in the office after several conversations & unsure of what else to think? We did get a follow up via Unilocal messages but that too died off & we get the impression that they maybe very busy or just overwhelmed or things are falling through the cracks but the radio ads are going strong…

BMHA initially installed the system, so naturally I was not pleased that the company did not install it correctly to begin with. I was also unhappy that it took two calls and several days before I could get a technician out to my home to correct the problem. Nevertheless, The technician Jeff worked diligently to find and correct the wiring snafu in my cooling system. My system now works just fine and I am very happy about that.

I got the special for AC and furnace rejuvenation for $ 59 on Sac & Co. Jeff was very professional, not pushy, and gave several options to pay for repairs. Would recommend.

I did my own research. Energy King did not close and go into Big Mountain. Denise has this all wrong. Energy King went out of business, and the new management of Big Mountain has a sterling reputation. I would have them do any work for me, new or update. I have recommended them to many friends and family. 5-stars…Dan

I signed up with Big Mountain in the summer. Heidi was very helpful and friendly setting up the first appointment. Jeff H. arrived on time and was professional and informative and a pleasure to work with. Heidi called to set up my winter appointment and followed up with a reminder email the day before and a phone call this morning to let me know when Jeff would arrive. Jeff was, as expected, knowledgeable, flexible professional and courteous. I have been very happy with Big Mountain Heating & Air–

We called Big Mountain Heating & Air to come out and do our yearly winter service on our heating system and what a great job they did!!! This was the first time we used Big Mountain Heating & Air and we would use them again! When calling for an appointment we spoke to Victoira and I believe the office girl who was able to get us an appointment quickly. Our service rep Richard Beaver was a pro and knew his heating & air! Big Mountian Heating & Air was very professional and we would highly recommend them for your next service on your home!

Mark was knowledgeable and very thorough. He went over all our options for a new HVAC system. He fully inspected our duct work, current HVAC and made suggestions on what would be the most efficient.

Big Mountain Heating & Air is a great company, Mark C. came out to the house to inspect my heating unit. He was fast, efficient and took the time to explain things about what his company and what services they provide and how I could maintain the system now and in the future. Just had Mark here doing my winter service and check up, straight shooter, very professional. He really helps my HVAC system running.

My husband and I own a rental property in California and have been getting complaints from our tenants about a problem with the heating. Living in another state this could have been stressful situation for us to get things fixed and keep our tenants happy. One thing I really appreciated with this company is that they didn’t require us to meet them at the home. Every other company that I called required that we fly in to be present at our rental house when they fixed it. This would have been really inconvenient for us so I was so relieved when I found Big Mtn Heating and Air.
I called yesterday and spoke to a lady named Heidi and explained our situation. She was so nice and understanding and said that she would make arrangements and that we wouldn’t need to be there. We paid over the phone and she said to let our tenants know their tech named Dave would be coming to the house that evening!
They discovered the problem was with the ignitor and had it fixed right away. My tenants called me today and reported that it’s working great now!
Overall, I was very impressed with their prompt service, nice receptionist, reasonable prices, and flexibility with us not being there. I will definitely use this company again in the future!

We have Big Mountain Heating and Air out to the house seasonally each time they’re out we are very impressed. It’s good to have a Heat and Air business you can count on if/​when problems do occur. The technicians they send out are always polite and professional. This company is very honest. I can say that I feel so well about their work and their commitment to their customers I have recommended their services to family and friends. To me a referral to a business is like gold so I don’t give it away unless I am really impressed. Out of all I have referred and followed up with, there are no unhappy customers.
