Mariya Zavyalova was the best! She has a very artful approach to massage and is attentive and professional. She has that natural talent of perceiving muscle tension, and when combined with expert knowledge of how muscular works together, she delivers a relaxing and therapeutic massage experience. She has awesome technique and she regularly checks in for your preferred pressure.
The location is great too– walkable from the downtown Westin and Marriott hotels if you’re visiting from out of town like me. It’s easy to find. The facilities were excellent– clean and well-​decorated for a quality experience. Booking via the online app was super easy and convenient.

I had a limited contract job working downtown for six weeks and found myself stressed out and knotted up in a bad way.

A full day spent driving from SF to PDX had me in some serious pain. There’s no shortage of massage therapists in the area, but Gwen was able to squeeze me in the very next morning.
Good move.
Gwen spent a lot of time working my complaint areas, and detecting (and fixing) new ones. I’ve never had a massage therapist spend so much time on my legs, either, which was cool.
Overall, great massage, bonus for flexibility (hers, not mine), and online booking. Will return next time I’m in Portland.

Sara has worked on me for many years in other locations, she is AMAZING. she has helped me work through many issues i was having .

It blows my mind when I see how much a place like the Dragon Tree costs ($ 110 an hour?) Like I said, at that rate you’re most likely paying for the silly Michael’s inspired decoration, and not for the therapy you’ll receive.

Sara Mapelli, Sara Mapelli, Sara Mepelli! I was treated by Sara yesterday afternoon, am so grateful for the opportunity she afforded me! I am a new mother, and have shoulder and back pain that radiates into my right hand. The experience was amazing. She could feel instantly places that bothered me, and worked to clear them. Also, I had a hard time getting out of the house with a small baby and experienced some anxiety on my way to the appointment. Within a short time, I felt simultaneously calm and giddy!
I have never had energy work before, although she has also treated my brother with great success (first preparing for a malignant thyroid surgery, second for accident injuries). I am very pleased to give her all my thumbs up — and my strongest recommendation! I have not had treatments from other practitioners at Seventh Wave — yet — but am sure I will in the future.

Sara Mapelli has done work on myself and a friend of mine who was a non-​believer in energy healing. She worked on my friend over ten years ago, and he STILL talks about it. I have attended an opening, and received bodywork @ 7^th Wave and LOVED it.
Sonja Pearson gave me an amazing Ayurvedic massage.
I was on a warm mat and she used these long delicious opening movements with her feet in the massage. The pressure was perfect and with the aide of a rope Sonja jst glided through my back with her body weight. I was so invigorated and simultaneously relaxed.
I met wonderful practitioners in a beautiful easy to get to location.
I have also had amazing energy work done by Sara Mapelli and can attest to a never before experienced vibration, the moment she started working on my body.
Like a flow of water just whoooooooshed through a region and made it feel lighter.

I don’t know the work of anyone else at Seventh Wave so I can’t vouch, and I can’t check it out since I’m on the east coast, but since Sara always keeps good company, I’d bet they’re all wonderful.
