So happy to have found Starr. She ensures waxing is as painless as possible, makes you very comfortable, is fast, thorough and does a great job. So glad to have found my go-​to waxing place after recently moving to Honolulu.

Ok, so I’ve been growing out my «lady hair» (TMI) for about two weeks. The sole purpose was to get waxed.
TODAY was the day to get waxed!
I Unilocaled potential waxers, highly rated, waxing, sugaring, hair removal. Most waxing/​waxers scheduled on appointment basis. Since I was in the town area. I Unilocaled waxers in the area, read reviews & priced around. I came across STAR at Diva Salon. Bingo, Brazilian waxing!
I texted STAR & she got back to me right away. She was able to fit me into her schedule. I was so happy & excited! Finding the salon was easy. Unilocal directions led me straight to her.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by STAR. She was very friendly & welcoming. She led me to her waxing room and instructed me panties off, offered wipes to clean up, a towel to cover on top & which way to lay.
As I was finished baring all, she came in & showed me how to position my legs (that definitely helped a lot). Right away, she went straight to work. We talked the entire time & that definitely took my mind off getting waxed lol. It wasn’t awkward or weird vibes at all. I was so relaxed & comfortable.
Time went by quickly, in less than 20 minutes I was finished. I instantly felt cleaner down under. So smooth! lol. I love/​loved her work! SOoo. much that scheduled my appointment in 3 weeks! She’ll be on vacation in 4 weeks.
I won’t be shaving after being waxed. The feel is noticeably different. Me & my boyfriend are both happy lol. The whole getting waxed experience was a breeze (STAR did that for me). I did clench my teeth a couple times, but the pain was tolerable. Like I said, the positioning of my legs really helped!
Honestly for me, the hardest part was growing out the hair. I grew it out about an inch? I don’t even know. But hair down there is just yuuuuck to me! I love it bald.

I cannot say enough about having my lash extensions done at All Star Waxxing. I’ve known Star for years, and she kindly invited me to have a lash extension done. Excited at the thought I couldn’t wait to have them done. I totally got addicted!!! My first time was in December so it was perfect for the holiday season. She did Glam lashes on me which were the longest length she had. She is very meticulous and a perfectionist also. After she showed me holding the mirror over my face, I was bursting with joy! Wow,! I looked so glamorous! I couldn’t believe how natural and full my lashes looked. Way better than mascara!
After several sessions of doing the longer ones, I had her go to a shorter length because it would touch my reading glasses I wear when at home.
I’m thrilled to say that I no longer have to use eye makeup at all, especially eyeliner. I wake up each morning feeling so beautiful. My eyes stand out more for sure. My makeup routine has shorten down really fast! Almost 3 weeks ago she redid my lashes using a new adhesive. I was amazed that I didn’t even look liked I needed a refill done. I was so happy to tell her when I just had them done on Friday, that my lashes lasted way past most times.

Star has been doing my lashes for about 8 months now and she’s amazing! I started out with the natural style but eventually had her do the volume/​glam lashes and I LOVE them. Star was great! She made something that’s supposed to be painful. As less painless as possible. She was quick, clean, and very friendly! :)

I have had Brazilian waxes before, but not as painless as this. Star has a gentle touch and a clean facility. She is welcoming. I used a Groupon to try her out, but have since become a loyal customer. There is good parking and she takes credit cards, too!

Let me start this off by saying — I hate pain. No. Really. I do. I have been an adult for about 19 years and have always said I would NEVER wax the vajay…
When last year I realized that ALL of my friends did it, even the sweet, prudy ones, I had to rethink my outlook on Vajay waxing.
Everyone has someone they go to regularly. I have a nail lady, someone who waxes my brows and underarms, a hairstylist, all of whom I am in a committed relationship with and now I needed to find a vajay waxer. Of course, all of my friends offered up the names of theirs, but for one reason or another, I never made an appointment.
I found a deal… not certain if it was Groupon or Living Social at this point, but for another salon in Hawaii Kai. I wanted to try different places before settling on who would be seeing my chach more than anyone else in my life.
The woman at the other salon was friendly and I felt comfortable, but I was not really pleased with her technique… but, what did I know, it was my first time. All I know is that I was in PAIN. The swelling and pain lasted for almost a week. I left that salon sticky and was later educated that it was because she used soft wax.
Found another deal (again, uncertain at this point from where), this time for All Star Waxxing, I Googled this place and found pleasant reviews. I purchased and planned to use before I went on vacation a few weeks later.
I realized that the certificate would expire while I was gone. I called Star, left a message and was surprised when I received a call back right away. I explained the situation and apologized for being so last minute… It was just shortly after I had been waxed by the 1^st woman and needed to wait several more weeks. Star was so kind and helpful, she suggested that we wait until I returned and that she would honor the certificate.
The day came for my appointment… there is limited parking at The Kenrock Building where the salon is located, but the attendant is nice about letting you park when you tell him you’re there for Star. The Diva salon is pretty and well maintained with extremely welcoming stylists.
Star herself has a very calm demeanor which puts me at ease — I’m EXTREMELY high strung. She answered all of my questions patiently and thoroughly. She clearly has an excellent understanding of how to service each client based on their individual needs, preferences and most importantly, personality.
She’s quick and may I say, makes the painful process very bearable. It’s been 8 months since that first appointment and I’ve been in a committed relationship with her ever since, seeing her every 4 weeks (I’m Portuguese and Spanish… we are hairy people!). The pain is very minimal, even for a cry baby like me, she uses hard wax which does not leave the sticky feeling afterwards and even after my first visit to her, I have never had any pain or swelling last longer than the time it took me to drive home. I swear, it’s her technique…
This is one relationship I want to share! Everyone has to go see Star!

I scheduled my appointment for a Brazilian wax through the website. I immediately received a confirmation email from Star. The place was easy to find. The building is across Sushi-​San by Ala Moana.
Star was very welcoming. I haven’t gotten a wax in a while, so it was a bit painful but bearable. I am completely satisfied with Star’s service. She finished in about 15 minutes. The price was reasonable — $ 55.

Had an amazing wax job! It’s not the norm for a guy to wax his entire face and it does sound painful but I do because I hate having to shave everyday and I hate the look of a 5 o’clock shadow.
Star did an awesome job as always and got a stubborn ingrown out!
My favorite part, I also got an Oxygen Facial form her too! It’s amazing!!!
It was a much needed treat after a long week… and weekend!

A gifted TIPPR deal ($ 30 for Brazilian) got me to try a new waxing salon. I scheduled with Star in town. I got a partial Brazilian, not full.
PROS: Was able to get scheduled for an appointment right away, Star was friendly, there was parking at the building (convenient location near Ala Moana), proper sanitation procedures were used (no double dipping!), she used hard wax, and tried to be thorough.
CONS: Completely agree with another reviewer that this waxing was more painful and took longer than I have experienced elsewhere (35 min for a partial — in the past I have had this done in 15 min). I think 50% was her technique (not enough stretching the skin/​pressure and she seemed a little tentative about «getting in there») and 50% was the wax she used. It seemed thin and to crumble a lot, which caused all sorts of problems. I also had LOTS of wax on me afterwards, even after she «cleaned» me up. The quality of the services could be improved with higher quality wax and refining her technique to be faster.
SUMMARY: It was worth the $ 30 deal, but I will not be a repeat customer. I’m so glad I didn’t get the full Brazilian. She did a lot right, but I was surprised to hear she had 10 years experience. I would have guessed 1 – 2 years.

Let’s talk Brazilian, ladies. (Men: close your ears) This establishment has the fastest, most efficient women working on our «pretties» that I’ve ever seen. My friend and I both tried their waxing groupon and we both can testify that we were done in less than fifteen minutes! I had Melissa Taitano and my friend had Star. The girls were clean, professional, and very friendly! The price is right too! Full waxing is $ 65, maintenance shows $ 55 online but I get it for $ 35 with Melissa! Quick service means you can do it on your lunch break, and it’s less painful to have to sit for half the time of a normal B’s wax. Their business is conveniently located by Ala Moana on the opposite side of Kapiolani Blvd. Parking was not a problem. They are located upstairs in a hair salon so don’t feel confused if you’re double checking the Suite number.
The only honest criticism I can say (which held me back from giving 5 stars) was the rear end servicing. When asked if I want the derrière waxed, I assumed she’d stop at the perineum (between the two regions). Since I don’t have hair on my, er, butt, most aestheticians stop there bc it’s pointless to go through unnecessary discomfort and pain. But bless Melissa’s heart, she put hot wax everywhere and it was honestly pretty painful. It was unnecessary but I appreciated her «thoroughness». lol Will def come back, just withhold the back portion…

This is definitely the place to go for a great eyebrow waxing and brazilian! Melissa is wonderful. I used to go to her while she worked in California and once she moved to Hawaii I tried to follow where she was working so I could go see her on my vacation. I was able to see her this last moth and she was really affordable and made me feel at ease throughout the treatment. I would highly suggest her and wish I lived closer so I could see her on a regular basis like I used to. My eyebrows have never looked as good as when she does them. Thanks Melissa!

I’ve been going to Star for over a year now, she makes it as relaxing an pleasant as possible. I’ve never had a bad experience with her! She’s worth every star!

It’s awesome that she does deals through Living Social, Hot Deals Hawaii, etc. Brazilian waxes are so expensive so it’s nice to buy coupons to try out new places. It was very easy to make an appointment with her and it’s very convenient that she works both in town and in Kailua. The service room at Pualani in Kailua wasn’t the best — it was really stuffy and staring up at the fluorescent light on the ceiling isn’t exactly relaxing. I wish I would have asked her to apply some sort of pre-​treatment oil or product, because the Brazilian itself was a bit more painful than what I’ve experienced in the past, and I’ve been getting these waxes for 5 years now. Unfortunately I left with a lot of wax residue left over and the freshly waxed skin felt kinda dirty and fairly irritated, but I applied some of my Tend Skin and that did the trick.

First time at All Star Waxing and I will be sure to come back!

I had purchased a half price deal from Hot Hawaii. I called Star and was able to book an appointment fairly fast. I was highly impressed with Star. I LOVE the wax that she uses! I had my eyebrows done and she uses a wax that smells like chocolate… it made me want to lick my own face! LOL
Star also uses hard wax so it is less painful. I ended up having my first brazilian too. Star is professional and friendly. Her salon ins located int he Diva Hair Salon, second floor on the Kenrock Bldg. Plenty of parking — no charge.

Her business is actually located in 1400 kapiolani blvd (Diva Salon) I claimed an offer on KITV and purchased a Brazilian wax for $ 29.00 which is a pretty sweet deal most brazilian waxes could cost from $ 50 and up. Star was really on it when I got the confirmation email for my voucher I immediately contacted her (you can text her as well) to schedule an appointment. I thought I would have to wait for a week thinking she was booked but surprisingly she was available on a saturday morning to take me in. She was very professional and took her time, her work was very clean and I believe sha has like 9 years of experience. Will definitely see her again.

I’ve been going to Star now for almost a year for Brazilian waxes while she was still at Beyond Bare waxing at Ala Moana. After jumping from one esthetician to another, I’ve finally found «the one!» She’s just starting out her own business at All Star Waxing and I will be following her there. I have a low pain tolerance, but for $ 50 with her method and the type of hard wax she uses it’s practically painless. She’s also VERY cute and friendly and makes me feel at ease by chit chatting with me during my wax. If you want an All Star waxing service, go to Star ;-)
