Pure Skin By Maggie

I have been seeing Maggie for about 2 years and swear by her knowledge and of course her magic hands. Maggie has always been honest and professional when it comes to my skin. If you are looking for a fluffy spa experience then Maggie is not for you but if you are interested in improving your skin then she is the best.

Maggie has a pair of magic hands! She is the savior of those with acne. Every time I go there, Maggie treats the acne on my nose. When she is finished the delicate skin of my face is so clean. Every time I see Maggie, she gives me a detailed explanation of what will be done during treatment and what I need to do at home to repair after a peel. She also lets me know what ingredients I can /​cannot use. Maggie is a very careful person. I like going to her; she will help your skin be clean and acne free. I also like to use Maggie’s skin care products; they are non-​greasy and absorb well, especially her new Rose Whitening line. This line is perfect for my skin, more so than all my previous skin care products. If your skin is dehydrated and you also like your skin to be glowing and whitening (even skin tone), I would recommend that you go see Maggie!

Honestly I never write reviews, I usually Unilocal restaurants, shops, etc. to see which is the best. I decided to finally write reviews because it’s about time people know how magnificant Pure Skin is!!! I have been going to Maggie for the last three years for at least once a month. It is a little pricey but, it is well worth it– I mean wouldn’t you like to feel and look good in your own skin too!
The inital reason I was looking for a spa was because I noticed skin discoloration on my face and was a little paranoid. So I went to Pure Skin three years ago to find out I had hyper pigmentation so Maggie did a peel. This was my first time ever getting a facial-​I didn’t know what I was getting into. Maggie was always there to answer my calls or emails and if she didn’t answer right away she always got back to me the same day! You do not have to deal with other specialists either it’s a one woman show! Maggie customizes treatments to fit you personally and the results are amazing. She is very unique, straight forward, and has the magic touch. I like it because I feel it is more of a one to one, where she gets to know her clients. You don’t have to deal with talking to a secretary to schedule an appointment– you deal directly with her and I like not dealing with a middle man.
I have done peels, vitamin C&E whitening, and hydra facials! The atmosphere is so warm, welcoming, and soothing. Maggie always greets you with a smile, warm tea, and treats at the end of your treatments! I buy my facials products from Maggie and even send them to my sister back on the mainland too! Maggie is my go to person for any type of facial– I trust her, and continue to get treatments from her!

Maggie is SO sweet. Price is a little expensive, but she is SUPER knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. Very relaxing and my skill did show a bit of improvement! Would come more often if I could afford…

The atmosphere is very serene. The highlight of my facial experience is Maggie’s magic fingers. My skin glows after even the simplest detox facial.

A girl’s gotta prep her face for the big day! I was saving up my gift card to Pure Skin to use it at just the right time, and a few months before my wedding was that time. Follow everyone’s directions about where to park and how to get into the building. I showed up on the fourth floor of a single room office. The hall was dark, but the room had some peaceful music and calming water sounds
I came in for a consultation with Maggie and she suggested I do the Vitamin C+E Whitening Facial. For 50 minutes I was able to relax and let Maggie do her magic! If that wasn’t nice enough, after the procedure she rewarded me with a mochi and hot tea. I liked the results of the facial, though the procedure is pricey.
I want to look and feel great for the wedding and Photoshop can only fix my face on the photographer’s pictures. I’ll be back for at least another treatment just before the wedding. For the perfect skin and a great glow, she suggests doing the signature rejuvenation facial. I’ll just tack this on with all the other crazy wedding expenses… arggh!

I emailed Maggie and received a response the same day. I am so happy I went with the hydra-​facial. She is so sweet and it is a very small intimate setting. But it makes it more personal rather than a factory for facials.
I will be back next weekend because I only got the 10 minute facial to see if I like her. I’m curious to see if the difference in her process will result in a massive breakout like others have caused in the past. I sure hope not.

Although it’s been a very long time since I’ve last seen Maggie, I really believe that my skin’s improvement is all thanks to her treatments, advice, and skincare products! She is so professional and very kind. Her studio instantly soothes you into relaxation. Plus, she also gives you complimentary tea and snacks; they’re SO yummy!
I think I did about 10 hydrafacial sessions with her and my face significantly improved in texture, tone, and brightness. I also saw Maggie for my acne condition. She recognized my acne condition stemming from too much caffeine and too little water consumption. Maggie suggested weaning myself off the coffee and taking daily GLA and B-​complex supplements. My acne started clearing up within just two weeks after following Maggie’s advice!
Her skincare products are also amazing… The rosehip foam cleanser is my favorite! I also really love her moisturizer. It really does make my skin feel silky smooth. The only thing is… I wish there was more product/​bigger bottle for the amount I was paying. It always seemed like I went through the bottle so quickly.
I’m definitely going to see Maggie again (soon!) because I trust her expertise. She’s definitely the best!

I’ve been needing to get a facial for so long, but I’ve always been putting it off because I was so busy. The day I decide to leave work half-​day spontaneously was perfect for «ME» time… Well, at least before I pick up the kids from school.
I found Maggie on Unilocal.She was one of the first spas that showed up when I typed «facials». I went down the list and starting reading reviews for all the different spas. I narrowed my choices and decided to call to see if anyone could take me that day. the first two I called couldn’t take me — they were closed or booked. So I called Pure Skin. I ended up getting a voicemail so hung up. To my luck, I got a ring back within two minutes and was able to book my facial appointment within two hours.
Went to my appointment and I expected to enter a lobby or waiting area, but as soon as I got there, it was the spa room. It’s really small compared to the places I’ve been to. It’s a one-​man shop.
She’s very good. She was very careful around my eyes due to my lash extensions. I felt really relaxed right after. She does try to up sell her products or other treatments that allow 6 visits but I didn’t get any.
Honestly I wouldn’t go here unless I need a last minute facial.

My visit far exceeded my expectations! Her space is wonderful. He has a soothing waterfall. Chairs and table. The lighting is soft. She offers you some tea and help you change into spa slippers (thumbs up!)
I choose Maggie as oppose to a Medi Spa because I wanted a personal experience. I got that (thumbs up) Didn’t want to be another number. Plus it was affordable for my pocketbook. She is gracious and kind.
I got the hydra facial with the red light therapy. My skin was glowing after the treatment! My skin felt sooo rejuvenated. I went without wearing makeup all day just reapplied sunscreen and some lip gloss! Am I’m the kind of gal who would were makeup just to through out the trash out! (double thumbs up!!)
I like the fact that Maggie gave me of suggestions on my skin care and future treatments.
I was given for tea and cookies after my treatment. LOVELY!
I am SO glad she had the chance to see me today. I will definitely be back next month!

My Husband was the one who treated me (who always treats me) to these nice facials and I’m happy he chose Maggie!
The place was kind of hard to find at first, because her place is located inside a building shared with other businesses! My husband was the one who called for appointments etc. Maggie just laughed at why he chose the facial for me (It’s because he pays for it, I don’t mind. he made a good choice :)
Before you come in, it’s best to call for an appointment, her shop is very small, the aroma makes you feel relaxed and ready to go and very very welcoming. You also need to call Maggie when you get there for the code of the elevator, because she’s on the 4^th floor, and NO there is no stairs to reach her unless you want to use the ‘Fire exit’ which really, you can’t use. Also, if you try to use the stairs, it only takes you to the 2^nd floor. LOL We were already running late, but Maggie was very nice to us.
Maggie, was very friendly, and most of all informative. She’s honest, and takes a good look on your skin, and tells you what you should and should not do to your skin. Her hospitality was even more great, serving fresh hot green tea, and you wear THEE most comfortable slippers to change into. Her décor of her place was so beautiful, simple and elegant.
My husband chose the Detox Facial ($ 80 each), which is a deep cleanse, and was great for our acne, white and black heads. I felt awkward because I KNOW I fell asleep, and I don’t know if I was snoring or not, but I woke up fast because I know I did. Maggie giggled and said it was better for me to sleep anyway, that was the purpose. Relaxation was on point! l tell you!
Her massage on my face reminded me of the movie Shaolin Soccer, if you haven’t watched that movie, and haven’t had her facial massage, then you’re missing out, because it was awesome! :) The massage for my neck, and face, and shoulders were just amazing, I wish I could have her magic hands every night before I go to sleep! The facial also smelled really great, smelled so yummy, everything was organic!
I felt so embarrassed again because a lot of times, I fell asleep and she was trying to talk to me (oops, I can’t help it, it was really relaxing and I was exhausted) and I had a lot of white heads on my forehead, and she showed it to me. I have a lot of acne scars, but after having the detox facial, my skin looked lighter, tighter, and most of all CLEAN!
After everything, she gave me a refill on green tea and this delicious strawberry wafer cookie! I really love her customer service, you can tell she is all about her clients and of course care FOR her clients. I truly love that about her, and she always has a smile on her face!

I’ve been seeing Maggie for my skin issues for about 8 months now and this review is long overdue. I was sick of my lackluster skin texture and turned to Unilocal,a trusted online grapevine, to find a cosmetician that could help. Upon our first meeting, Maggie took a deep look at my skin and found the obvious and not-​so-​obvious causes of my skin problems:
1. I was wearing MAC make-​up which is a clear skin no no since it has oils and crap in it that wreak havoc on you skin
2. I was drinking a ton of coffee which sometimes cause bad skin (not in everyone just for some who have extremely sensitive skin like me)
3. (and most importantly) I was on a birth control that was messing me up hormonally.
I’ve since gotten half a dozen hydrofacials and one Green Peel classic facial and have significantly improved my complexion. Extractions, glycolic peels, and herbal peels are not for the weak; it goes with the old adage, «beauty is pain.» The one thing that keeps me coming back to Maggie is the fact that she herself has amazing skin. She is an example of her product. Maggie loves to share her journey as to how she came to this stage of skin perfection, mostly because it did not come easily or natural. She worked at it as most people have to. It’s a life long commitment and it really boils down to how important having beautiful skin is to any individual. Maggie instills proper skin care practices in her clients and her work ethic has no parallel to any other cosmetician I’ve ever seen. I have found a cosmetician for life.

I went to see Maggie for an eye brow waxing. I’m not too great about maintaining my shape and I usually only go in when they’re terribly overgrown because I haven’t found someone I really like (on the west-​side). West-​side they’re a lot cheaper than town but they do a terrible job. It’s like a cattle mill, in and out as quickly as possible, but the shaping is terrible and they almost always over wax you. So since I moved into town I thought I’d give it another try. A lot of the hair salons were really expensive and they charge a lot if they have to do uni-​brows or forehead. Not saying I looked that bad, but I didn’t want to go in paying way more than expected. So I checked around on Unilocal and gave Maggie a try.
First of all, I loved not having to park at the mall. It was easy to find parking and I don’t have to walk to my car looking like someone just slapped me when I’m done. As for the place itself, I really liked it. It was private, quiet, relaxing and I didn’t have to worry about people staring at me as I leaned my head back and endured getting my hair ripped off my face. I expected to be in and out as quickly as possible but Maggie really took the time to ask questions. I appreciated that she made sure I was comfortable and wasn’t going to do something I wasn’t happy with. Most places, even in town, use thick strips and rip huge chunks at a time. Maggie used tiny strips (I think) so it didn’t seem to hurt as much and she didn’t over do-​it on the shaping and clean up. She was very cautious and I absolutely appreciated that. It was nice to walk out and actually be happy with the service versus forcing a smile and hating it on the way home. And as for the price, totally reasonable. Plus I got a little cookie or sweet or something on my way out too.

Maggie is very sweet but I would not get a facial from her again. I went there for one thing and was pressured to get something that was four times the price during the consultation. However, I stuck to my plan and kind of felt like she wasnt interested in my skin at that point. I felt rushed and my skin wasnt cleaned out as I thought it would be. I think I will stick with my regular day spa and deal with the 45 min drive to get there.

I found Maggie’s by accident, while looking on Unilocal for massage therapists. I was impressed by her reviews and thought, «What the heck! I’ll try a facial.»
I’m really happy I did because not only is my skin better for it (love that hydrofacial thingie!), but I get more relaxed from her facials than when I get a massage.
Maggie puts a lot of love and care into her work and has obviously trained carefully to be able to do what she does. Her touch is very professional and confident.
I feel really lucky that I ‘stumbled’ onto this little oasis!

I love going to Pure Skin By Maggie. As soon as I walk in the door I feel so pampered. I love the ambiance & that it allows me to feel totally relaxed!
I’ve done a series of 6 hydrafacials and have noticed HUGE differences in my skins texture and appearance of fine lines. Maggie did ‘before and after pictures’ and I could actually see the visible changes in spots on my face that have been bothering me for years!
If you are looking for high quality skin products Maggie has those as well. I especially love my Foaming Facial Cleanser… I have to hide it from my husband because he loves it too.
I feel great when I walk out of Maggie’s Spa and HIGHLY reccommend her professional and affordable services!

I wanted to make an appointment before I left for LA but she was booked all day and was unable meet me. Five minutes after we hung up she called me back and said that she would open early for me if I was available.
I had the hydrafacial and it was amazing and the cheapest around! During the time my face was at its worst and after my treatment my skin was clear and smooth.

Maggie is a pleasure from the moment I spoke to her on the phone with my 101 questions about my skin issues to the goodbye see-​you-​laters. She listens very well about my concerns and I had 1 on 1 quality time with her, absolutely no interruptions. She educated me on my skin and how to treat it from the inside out. I had the Green Peel done and it did wonders for my skin. I bought all of her products because it made sense and she takes so much pride in her work. I will not go to any other place after the value I get from her. Go and see for yourself.

I absolutely love this lady and all that she does. She is amazingly knowledgeable and so honest about your skin and what you need to improve it, in the most caring way. The first time I went to her, I had a bikini wax. It was my first ever and I was so Scared– Maggie made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I can honestly say it didn’t hurt, felt better than some eyebrow waxes I have had in the past. When I came to her the second time it was because of my skin. I have suffered with acne all of my life and used everything you can imagine. She immediately recognized me and asked how did the bikini wax go, since my skin is so sensitive. I explained what a wonderful job she had did and I defiantly will be using her as my go to girl. I got the detox facial this time and feel in love with how CLEAN my skin feels and looks. I again felt at ease and ended up falling asleep during the facial, consumed with relaxation. When the treatment was completed we discussed everything and she answered all the questions I had.
This woman is the definition of professional, always using my name and being so polite. I am so happy that I found her on here and decided to give her a try. I wont be using anyone else for the four years we are stationed here!!!

I know her main focus is various facials and treatments, according to my friend that referred me, she’s got some magic golden fingers that does wonders! My friend said Maggie was able to treat all her acnes and acne scars!
