Aimee French Waxing

So I have never waxed, threaded, shaved, etc done whatever your supposed to do to your eyebrows in my 30 years of living life. No, I have «perfected» drawing in my eyebrows with a combination of pencils & brow pots over the past 15 years.
Or so I thought.
I went to Aimee on a friend’s recommendation and I didn’t know what to think since I’ve never done anything professional to my brows. Aimee was awesome & explained the tinting & waxing process. Yes, I had crazy notions of what would happen or how bad it would hurt. Once done completing her art she gave me a mirror & asked what I thought.
Honestly, it was different. I mean like I said before I spent 15 years «perfecting» my eyebrows so what are these new brows??? It’s not what I do, therefore, it must be wrong! Because that means I have been doing shitty brows for half my life! And there is no way… right!!!
But 36 hrs later, I have to wave the flag of defeat. Aimee has done more for my brows than I have in 15 years. I can’t imagine ever trying to find my natural arch again or blending the correct color.
Aimee has shown me the way, and I can honestly hashtag I woke up like this, by having her do them!

Best on the island. and she doesn’t even live on this island! Aimee does a fantastic job on brows. She takes into account your face and features. She’s not a «one size fits all» brow shaper. She does what will look best for you and your face. I’m always super happy with her work on my brows!

AIMEE IS HONESTLY THE BEST! My brows are my life since Aimee! Its so hard to grow them out when nail salons continuously mess up no matter where you go. since seeing Aimee i have NEVER been to a nail salon to wax my brows, I knew she would be the person to see after coming across her Instagram i live in Mililani but its so worth the drive and money to see her! Even I had to attempt to block a friend before I realized, «Am I really believing these lies?» It takes a little more than «coincidence» to do something like that.

Aimee is the best! I’ve gone through many waxing places for my eyebrows, but it doesn’t turn out as well as from Aimee. I also love the tinting idea because I’m not ready to tattoo my brows. She shadows your brows to match your face, skin tone, and hair color perfectly.

Aimee is the best! I found her through a friend who has the most on point eyebrows I have ever seen and she found Aimee through instagram. (If you haven’t checked out her instagram, you should because her work speaks for itself, but I am going to keep writing anyways)
Aimee’s studio space is really cute and looks and feels like it is high end. It is very professional and clean and there is parking right out front. I did get confused the first time I went and parked at Zippy’s and walked over because I wasn’t sure which building it was, but now that I know I park right out front every time.
I having been going to her regularly for a lip and eyebrow wax, which she is amazing at. Some places use guides and map out your brows with pencils before they wax, but Aimee doesn’t do any of that. She doesn’t need to. She finds the most beautiful, flattering brow shapes in the bushiest of brows without drawing all over your face to prove it to you. She truly has an eye for it. I have eyebrow trust issues and I trust her 110%! I am not sure what kind of wax she uses but I feel like it gets every single hair and I swear it is thinner after every wax. Plus I feel like it is gentle on my semi-​sensitive skin.
It is super easy to make appointments with her through style seat (they have an app you can download or you can do it through their website). The link is on her instagram. She does only take Oahu clients Weds-​Friday because she comes over from Kauai. I was skeptical at first because she a little bit more than the place I was getting waxed at before, but now I am a believer! She is worth every penny! You really do get what you pay for and I had no idea how much more amazing my brows could be for a few dollars more. I literally have ladies stop me on the street and tell me I have nice eyebrows!
Oh and she has this badass (can I say badass on Unilocal??) brow powder and wax that she uses and sells. Way better than anything I have found at Sephora and it lasts through all 8 hours of my sweatiest bartending shifts without rubbing off or smudging.

OK. So if you look at just my eyebrows, you would mistaken me for Kim Kardashian. & then you look at the whole picture and it’s more like fricken Ursula from The Little Mermaid, but at least my brows are on point!
I’ve done threading and have been to numerous places to wax my eyebrows and have always been satisfied, but never thrilled to the point I can’t stop staring at them. I guess I was completely sold when my gay best friend snapped his fingers and screeched «OHHHHHH GIIIRRRLLL! THOSE BROWS DOE!» after he saw them. Aimee is pricier, I actually contemplated canceling my appointment because I couldn’t justify spending that amount of money on an eye brow and lip wax — but I’m so glad I didn’t! I am so in love with my eye brows and it was definitely worth the price!

Everyone says that first impression is really important and to me, on my first visit, she totally nailed it! I’ve hear so much about her and I’ve seen her work on Instagram, I was super super excited to get my brows done by her. She’s really sweet & whatever you need to say about how you want your brows, she’ll listen. I can totally trust her with my brows now, she earned a life long customer :) the music was really relaxing & the process seemed fast especially when she had another customer come in to get her brows done at the same time. I love my brows now! Thank you Aimee!

Found Aimee on Instagram, and after seeing all her posts, I really wanted her to do my eyebrows. Her location isn’t too hard to find if you’re familiar with the area. She’s right upstairs of Tsunami’s Bar & Lounge. Waiting area is cute and chic. I was early for my appt, but I didn’t have to wait too long to be seen. I read other reviews about some people not liking Aimee, so I was a bit iffy at first. She doesn’t give off the greatest first impression or that «going the extra mile» type customer service, but she seemed like a nice person.
My brows are (unfortunately) quite thin already, but I went to her anyway for a wax. I paid $ 45 +tip to get my brows and lip waxed. For my own personal taste, I feel like I overpaid (considering my brows are already thin, but that’s not Aimee’s fault!). She pencil drew in where hair was still growing around my brows and suggested not to touch them so that they can grow thicker.
Overall, cute salon, okay parking/​location, not bad service.
