I must share. I have now come to this location on 3 occasions, 1^st to purchase a new vehicle and the 2 other times for service. And I must say that I have never experienced such poor customer service. I bought a new car and came in twice as a service customer and they treat me like they are doing me a favor. I wish I did not get this company my business. But I did and I regret it. I could not hope for anything less than this business closing down. For them to be this consistently rude and dismissive blows my mind. I really hope no one wastes their time or money on this place. I hope I can find a better place to get my car serviced form now on.

Don’t buy a Hyundai period. They don’t honor their extended warranty. READ THE SMALL PRINT. I had my vehicle serviced by Loren over a 4 month period for the same issue. All covered under warranty. Finally the engine stopped workng due to the same problem and they will not cover it claiming owner neglect.

An oil change in less than 45 minutes?! Yes, please.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. If you’re in Glenview this is the place to visit!

I am not sure who is worst, this dealership or Grossinger in Lincolnwood! If you own a Hyundai stay away from both of these dealerships for service.
After having a horrible experience at Grossinger Hyundai I decided to give this dealership a try. Every time I came here it went from bad to worst! Last Tuesday was the last time I will ever visit this dealership.
I went in for a simple oil change and tire rotation. When the service was complete they gave the car back unwashed. I nicely asked if they can run it through the wash. The manager Rick did take the car and washed it. After, I was in the parking lot just drying the car and the service manager comes and closes the car door on my fingers. Now I have a bruised up and bleeding finger. He is lucky I am not the sue crazy person over something like this since I am in horrible pain! But all I got for that was an «I’m sorry» but still paid full price for the service.
To make matters even worst, once I got my finger somewhat patched up with a bandaid, I got in the car to drive off only to hear a horrible sound coming from the car as I drove off. I went back to get that checked out. I do not know how the $@#% anyone can do a tire rotation and forget to tighten the wheels back on the car. Two wheels were loose! How does any professional do that? They are lucky again that the wheels did not fall off the car!!! Also, how were they able to get the car through the wash and not notice that is beyond me!
Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!

If you insist on stepping foot into this dealership, do your homework and check other internet reviews and postings for this business along with that of Napleton Loren Hyundai. I wish I had.

Beware of bait and switch. Negotiated price over the phone on Thursday for a specific car and color. Raven-​the online sales person-​said they have every color except gray available of this model. Made an appointment for Saturday to buy/​pick up car. Arrived for appointment with Dave Choi the sales manger. Only to be told that they don’t have the car and they never had in stock. They were going to get it from another dealer but that dealer wasn’t calling them back. They also said there was only 2 of this particular model within 200 miles. Of course this contradicts everything that we were told. David Choi was rude and unprofessional, basically denying everything that we were promised.
We left, went to Gregory Hyundai and was treated honestly and fairly and drove home a new car that same afternoon.

My husband and I bought our first car at Loren, from Alex Zabarsky. I had been having some anxiety making this big first time purchase and was skeptical of every salesman. Alex was kind, funny, and took his time in showing us a car that genuinely fit our needs and he managed expectations honestly. Alex, his manager, and the finance manager tried to make us feel welcome and comfortable in the process of the purchase.

If I could give negative stars I would gleefully do so. Embarrassingly bad service department. Had my car several days with no work, poor communication, ambivalence to solve problems, chronically unmet verbal commitments. When I finally had enough and went to pick up my car to take to another Hyundai dealer, found a heap of parts in the trunk they had not put back on the car. Fail.

Consider taking your business elsewhere! We live almost 40 miles away from Glenview, but we chose to drive to Loren Hyundai because they had the SUV we were considering in their stock. Our salesman, Radek Koziol, was nice enough… no complaints. We feel we got a good deal (more thanks to us comparison-​shopping elsewhere). And Radek even came in on his day off for us to pick up the new SUV. And the GM, David Choi, seemed pleasant when we spoke on the phone… he was apologetic for some of the issues we had and said he would deal with the issues in the dealership. However, stay away from their business manager, Phil DeSalvo. We weren’t even financing our new car there, but had to meet with him, of course, to buy the SUV. We, eventually, bought Hyundai’s extended warranty plan, after some negotiations. But after we bought it (which was a couple of weeks after we’d bought the SUV), it was like pulling teeth to get (correct) answers from him… it took 2 – 3 calls/​emails to get receipts, counter-​signed documents, etc. He sounded surprised when I asked him to send me our copy of the agreement once he had signed it… like he’s never done this before. And then when I contacted Hyundai «Corporate» about 3 weeks after we’d purchased the warranty (to make sure it was in the system and ask them if/​when we’d receive any ID cards, or paperwork), they had no record of it. They suggested I re-​contact the dealership. So, I re-​contact Phil and he emails me that «he’s done everything right.» OK… so what? Hyundai doesn’t seem to think it’s in the system, so wouldn’t you think he’d offer to help figure it out? Nope. So I said if he’s unable (or unwilling) to help me (which seemed apparent), I’ll be happy to speak with the GM, the owner, or Hyundai Corporate. He responds (in an email) that «threatening emails don’t work with him…» Threatening emails? I responded that I was just trying to get what I’d been promised. Man, what a jerk… So, in the meantime, I contacted Hyundai (Corporate) again (as another week had gone by) to see if our warranty was in their system yet. And it was. And, at that point, the young man I spoke with told me it can take up to 30 days to get into their system, electronically. Well, if Phil (or anyone) had told me that over the past 4 weeks, I wouldn’t have been quite as concerned. Phil never gave us his business card when we were there buying our car (he had to handwrite his contact info on a piece of paper). And when I called to speak with him over the next couple of weeks, the person I spoke with on the phone told me he doesn’t really listen to his voicemails/​messages… which seems clear, since he didn’t return my calls. So, bottom-​line… stay away from the business folks at Loren Hyundai… especially Phil DeSalvo. Another footnote — I mentioned to the GM when I spoke with him — it’s been about 6 weeks since we plopped down nearly $ 40,000 for a new car and we have yet to get a «Thank You» note/​email/​call from anyone at Loren Hyundai. Really? Doesn’t buying (anything) from a car dealership these days merit a «thank you?» Mr. Choi said that they send out a thank you email right away, but there must have been an error with the email address or something. Not 100% sure I’m buying that… Wouldn’t a first clue be to check into it if the email you sent it to came back as «undeliverable.» Oh, well… we’ll never buy from Loren Hyundai again… too unprofessional. And while Phil is probably pleased to hear that we won’t be back, I’m not sure the owners will be after we tell our story a few dozen times to prospective new car buyers along the North Shore…

I purchased my car here about 10 years ago when they were still a Pontiac dealership. When I bought the car I was given free oil changes as long as I owned my car. A few days ago I brought my car there for an oil change and was asked if I had heard that the owner decided to no longer offer free oil changes on GM cars. I said I had not heard that. So I was told that this would be my last oil change. Fine, I’ve gotten 10 years of free oil changes so I can consider myself lucky. However, what is most upsetting is that nobody decided to take the time to inform their customers. A note to all of their customers this promotion applied to would have been appreciated. Instead it seemed they wanted people to show up, thinking they were getting a free oil change, only to be told this promotion no longer applied. Terrible customer service. At the end of my oil change I was told that my engine air filter needed to be replaced. This is completely laughable considering the fact that my husband had changed my engine air filter less than two months ago. Obviously the people in the service department either don’t know what they are talking about or they deliberately mark things as needing to be repaired when they really don’t. This has happened to me several times. If I hadn’t received free oil changes I would have stopped coming here a long time ago. At the end of my service the service manager said «See you next time.» I can assure you there won’t be a next time. Now that I won’t be getting a free oil change, I can go to a variety of places closer to my house for an oil change that will cost far less than what Loren will charge.

I took my car in for service using a service coupon I received in mail. The coupon was good for X amount. When I took it in and showed it to the service manager at the time of write up per instruction. He said it is not applicable for the service I requested and said it per fine print. He flat out lied through his teeth as the fine print said it covers service, parts etc. Another service manager who seemed to be in charge, came over saw it and said it was applicable. So the long wait begins for a simple oil change and alignment. Usually they would give a courtesy about how long it would take. No, I sat there in the waiting room while everyone who came after me got their car serviced and left. What it would have taken an hour max turned into a 2.5 hour affair. At the end, I had to walk out of the waiting lounge to check up on my car and he did not even care to look at me. Then service manager in charge told me that my car was ready to go. So the day after I got the car serviced I see that window washing fluid was running low. My question is this is covered in the oil change as all fluids are topped off. What was wrong is that they failed to do their job and treated me like crap. If this dealership goes out of business, no tears. Take your car and hard earned money elsewhere! I had better service at Gregory and Grossinger near by. I know that they do not get raving reviews but its better than this bottom of the barrel dealership.

If you want to work with an out dated Old school dealer head here! This place acts like it is from the 70’s. I wont be doing business with them but if you have too, be prepared for a slow motion process.

I had a good experience at first and was excited to Unilocal about it and give it 5 stars. I even sent a friend who bought a car too. It wasn’t until the next month that I decided I would give it ZERO stars if possible. It is a long story but the main point is that a deal breaker for me was not being able to change that due date of my bill. I was assured sooooooo many times I could as soon as I make the first payment to just call the number they gave me and it would be done! As easy as that! I leased a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited completely loaded and with a high price tag. I gave them an AMAZING trade too. All I asked was for the date and they promised over and over. I have been able to change the date on every lease I have ever had. When i finally went to change it they said there was NO POSSIBLE WAY and that I was LIED to. I called the dealership numerous times and was not helped. I now pay a $ 20.00 late fee EVERY SINGLE MONTH on top of my monthly payment. Also I was told my oil changes were free and they were not. I was not given a copy of the registration and had to get new one on my own bc the «lost it“or «thought it was in the paperwork». I went for service once and I WILL NEVER EVER go back. Everyone was rude and in a bad mood. I have since left messages both email and voice mail to have nothing returned. I would recco that you do not trust this dealership based on my experience. My question was asked to each person from the sales person to the manager to the finance manager. They all said it would be fine and people do it all the time and the Hyundai Finance Motor Co they use told me they flat out lied every month I called to to try to fight the late fee. YUCK

As a two time customer of Loren Hyundai I was sorely disappointed with their service departments handing of my issue of the side panel coming loose. Originally I was told that it has occurred on other vehicles and that it should be covered by Hyundai warranty but after a new one was ordered and installed the service dept reneged on their statement… I will never deal with this agency again and I will tell everyone in my area to avoid them also… I may call Pam Zekman on channel 2 to investigate!!!

My girlfriend took her car in for a FREE warrantee fix and when we came to pick it up the bill was $ 1600!!! First they told us we needed a new battery! But we knew that was a lie cause we got a new one 2wks before we brought it in! Then when we called them out on it they made it seem like the don’t recommend the one we have. The one we had was installed by another Hyundai dealership. Idiots!
Next they said I need a wheel alignment, which I agreed to have done. We picked it up again and the alignment was worse then it was. The second I take my hand off the wheel while driving it hooks to the right. This place lies to make themselves more money and they don’t know anything about their customers. They tried to convince me to get a new version of my car and they would be able to lower my monthly payments. The only thing was, I OWN MY CAR and have no monthly payments. Jackasses!
Please save yourself time and money and go somewhere else. Their rating speaks for itself. Thanks for reading!

Over the past 9 years I have owned 3 Hyundai Santa Fe’s and lived in 4 different cities from Miami to Chicago. Loren Hyundai’s service department has far surpassed not only all other Hyundai service departments I have gone to, but has even risen above the mechanic my family has used for the past 26 years.
Every time I have scheduled an appointment or gone in Rick and Larry in service have provided amazing customer service. They make sure I know exactly what is going on with my car, get me in and out as quickly as possible and are friendly and patient no matter what time it is or how busy they may be. Recently, my sister’s car was run off the road by a CTA bus. I recommended she take it to them, knowing they would provide an honest assessment of the damages. Miraculously, there was only the body damage to the car (despite it being run up onto a median), and the Hyundai service team provided that feedback. They are trustworthy and swift — they examined the car and got the report back within 3 hours that day.
Additionally, the sales staff there is helpful and accommodating, without giving off the super «salesy» vibe you might get elesewhere. While I am not financially ready for my next new car, I know that when I buy my fourth Santa Fe I will be purchasing it from Loren Hyundai and nowhere else.

Before I got my car I went to few different car dealers and to be honest I did not like them at all, because of their customer service. This place is totally different, my sales person (Radek) was really good, he was very helpful and very professional. Totally something opposite to typical sales person… I would highly suggest him to be your salesman. They have big selection of cars and they do have good financing options. Took me few hours to get my car. Very happy client here.

These guys are crooks.
Car dealers are generally not held in very high regard and they are known to bend the truth.
These guys are so bad that they make other car dealers look good.

Not sure where to even start on this one. I had a very long trip ahead of me and was in need of an oil change. I get to the dealership, state what I want, and they tell me I’m due for an inspection since I’m about to hit 90K miles. Sounds reasonable, and the pamphlet shows that I will be getting a number of services done. The cost is $ 350+tax and comes to a little over $ 400.
What was done for the car? An oil change, replacement of oil and engine filters, «brake service», and an inspection of the car. A tune up doesn’t cost this much and the amount of work I got done for the car should not exceed over $ 150.
Here’s the kicker though. They find I’m in need of new brake pads for the front tires, a new car battery, and new tires. The individual cost they give me are $ 325, $ 210, and $ 1,100 respectively. The person who I’m speaking to goes ahead and stands up tall and grabs a cup of coffee with the biggest grin on his face because he knows he has me. He cuts me a deal while I decide to do my research. Brake pads don’t exceed $ 50 (rotors were not replaced in the service) each, a car battery costs $ 100 at most, and the tires are ~$ 200 each. This means I’m paying over $ 500 in labor, and this is not including the inspection which is also incredibly overpriced.
A little icing on the cake: They told me my car would be finished by 2 or 2:30PM, and it’s not finished until almost 4PM.
I clearly got taken advantage of because I didn’t bother to do my research before hand, and that is my fault. What they don’t know is they make more money from repeat customers. You can bet they won’t get another cent from me.

If I can give a negative star, I would. My mother went to get a simple oil change there. One of the mechanic told her to wait an hour to comeback. So she went to a coffee shop and waited an hour assuming that it would be done. When she got there, NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. And what does the mechanic say? Without a SINGLE sorry, he said, «Come back tomorrow because we are too busy with other cars.» He says as if his time is more important than my mother’s time. My mother has only one day off and who’s going to refund her hour doing nothing because the mechanic told her to wait? Would you not get angry in this situation? My mother was angry that she asked for the manager. And that manager, without a SINGLE sorry, just brushed her off. My mother was so frustrated that when she was about to leave, she heard that mechanic saying to the manager, «Is she a trouble?»
This is a disgrace and disrespectful.
This is NOT the service that anyone deserves.
