Where do i start? Rude sales manager, deceptive sales practices, incredible waste of my time.
I would avoid this place at all costs…

Avoid this place for service!!! I took my car in to have my brakes checked. They charge $ 85 to check them. After waiting 2 hours, Nick came back and told me it would cost over $ 1800. They needed to replace almost everything that was related to the brakes even the brake pads, which I just replaced a week ago. To make matters worse he said, this is just the start and it might cost more! I paid my $ 85 and immediately left and took it to another place and they checked my brakes for free and said the brakes needed to be bled. They did that and didn’t even charge me! I complained to Glenview Mitsubishi and it did not do any good. Always good to get a second opinion and buyer beware! Don’t take your car here!

There’s just no way around saying it. I hate going to this dealership. I can rarely if ever go in and come out, outside of one time when I just had to get a recall issue repaired. Last year, I went in there because my gear shift was stuck and I had a blown-​out tire. It turns out I needed all new tires. I shrugged and was ready to deal with the (ridiculously high) price as long as they could get my gear shift to work. A tow truck guy showed me some kind of trick to stick a key in the lock to get it to work, but I had no desire to do that on an otherwise great car. (I’ve had it since 2007, adore my car and take great care of it.)
But what blew my mind was that four hours of work on the car, and they couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it. They told me they would need the car the whole weekend to figure it out. I gave up and just asked for them to put a donut on my car. I was going to take it to another company, who had cheaper tires. They dumped an extremely filthy tired in the back of my trunk without bothering to cover it. No one would tell me what happened to the tire except for one guy who happened to be coming back from lunch. He was confused about why they just dumped a dirty tire in the back of my car and wiping his hands off on towels while trying to figure it out.
What really irritated me though is I took it to this other company and within a half hour, they figured out that the problem with the gear shift getting stuck was related to a brake light being out.
I got four new tires for a third of the price that Grossinger was trying to charge me, and they fixed the gear shift issue — in 24 hours.
Then my battery goes out. I buy a battery from another location, and my airbag light comes on. Grossinger refuses to just reset the light and claims that company probably did something wrong. A second company already confirmed that they didn’t. They still wouldn’t reset it without doing a diagnostic check. One of my tire notification lights came on, so I went back to the dealership to handle both. They reset the airbag light, and I paid that stupid diagnostic test price even though they even admitted nothing was wrong. They didn’t have the parts to fix the tire pressure light the day I was there so I rescheduled for another day. Service guy promised I could have a loaner car if I came back another day.
I insisted that the service guy put my new cell number in the computer. He insisted that I should just write it on the order. Four days later, no call. I finally called around day five, and he claimed he’d left me three messages. I asked what number he called. He went silent. All I could do was shake my head. I scheduled to come in on a day that I could wait on a car, after he told me he could no longer promise me a loaner car because those were only given to customers with longer jobs. Now I was really irritated. And oddly enough, the tire pressure light went out so I didn’t even know if this was still something to repair.
I get to the location that Saturday, and not only is the service guy I talked to conveniently not there, but the mechanic who deals with the make/​model of my car was off, too. He never felt the need to tell me that over the phone. He’d originally reported two tires needed new tire pressure notification parts. The second mechanic who was there said it wasn’t those tires at all, and it was a third tire.
The manager who was there to deal with all of this looked genuinely baffled by all of the stuff I had gone through and called the service guy at home. I got a free oil change card, and the manager asked me to come back when the original mechanic was there so he could take a better look at my car. I drove off and haven’t been back since.
By the way, those survey emails that they send out about your service are a joke. The guy who always sends them does nothing to resolve your complaints. He doesn’t even respond when you do complain so there’s no point in sending them.
The cashiers you pay when you leave apparently have never heard of the phrases «Hello,» «Good morning/​afternoon» or «Thank you.» At least two of them always have a scowl on their face, say nothing and just shove receipts at you. I would rather go to dealerships further out than ever step foot into that Glenview dealership again. And if I do go there again, it’ll be a complete sign of desperation.

Wanted to buy a used car and they refused me a pre purchase inspection. Only if your hiding something would a dealer refuse a third party inspection paid by me. Would never buy a car from someone who refused me an independent inspection.

We bought the car here because we live in Glenview. But I wish we would have checked reviews before. The service out of this place is terrible. Since we bought the car a year ago we noticed it and up to date hasnt changed. They are not organized, lack of sense of customer service. The two times we have brought the car for service, they have charged the bill incorrectly. There is a lack of management on this place. Always apologetic doesnt seems to change. If you can afford to go to any other Mitsubishi dealership, avoid the hassle here and go.

Despite all of the negative feedback I am a person who has to experience it for myself. Unfortunately unlike the other people I was only there to get service done on my vehicle and not to purchase a new one. Everyone there was very friendly and attentive. What went beyond my customer expectation was the mechanic noticed my left side mirror had been loose and literally almost seemed like it was going to fall off and they tried their best to do some patch work without charging me. Honest guys and told me everything I needed to do for my next visit. Car wash I could have done without, but hey it’s free. Will definitely come again.

Jericho was great to work with, he worked with me on my trade in and set me up with a car, whole process was less than 3 hrs, test drive, negotiation, paperwork, financing and hand shake. Drove away in my new car, and it was a fair deal.

Robert K. left a response to my review almost a year later. Well here’s an update. We went back to McGrath Audi, right down the street from Glenview Mitsubishi. We test drove several Audi sedans and even took one to the independent mechanic we tried to take the Infinity from Glenview Mitsubishi to. McGrath had no issues what-​so-​ever with it. No credit app was even mentioned, let alone required, nor was a deposit just to have the car inspected as Glenview Mitsubishi required.
As much as I would have loved to purchase a car at McGrath, an Audi sedan wasn’t what I wanted and the Audi SUV’s are outside of my budget. My husband and I found an Infinity SUV with 22,000 less miles, totally spotless inside/​out, $ 3,725 less than Glenview and 2 years newer than what Glenview Mitsubishi offered at another dealership in ILL. We purchased the Infinity SUV on Feb. 27^th 2015 and been happy drivers every since.
Again, this was an ILL dealership, so we’re out of state buyers. They welcomed us to take the SUV to an independent mechanic of our choice and allowed us to test drive without the car salesman in the car. I believe his exact words were, «I can’t sell a call while I’m in a car with you! Have fun!» We knew we wanted that car, just like when we were at Glenview. So our test drive was a 5 mile drive to a local mechanic who checked out the car while we had lunch and the 5 miles back to the dealership. We’ve been in the car for eight months next week and couldn’t be happier!
Under no circumstances what-​so-​ever would I recommend anyone go to Glenview to do any kind of business.

They are complete scams! If I can give zero stars I would. When we were negotiating the price on the car, the dealer told us one thing. We even left our truck as a trade. They gave us one price and then when we were sent over to the finance advisor, he completed all the paperwork and I was like woah woah woah why is this price here. He tried explaining it to us and said that it included financing and the extra protection plan. As I was doing the math in my head, I was still confused so I asked him and he started throwing numbers at me. So I was thinking ok, I doubt they would screw us over… wrong! Turns out that number that he told us is after finance, is actually before finance, so the final price of what we signed for was $ 3000 more than what we were told. We immediately called and they kept avoiding our calls. When I finally got through to someone they told me I had to call so and so and when I got through to them, we had to call someone else. Then they told us to come in, and turned out the manager was not there. Then they told us to come a different day and we finally spoke to a manager, who at the end of the day said we signed the paperwork and if we were confused we should have asked to get everything explained… seriously??? The finance guy didnt know how to explain things in the first place when we were asking him questions, plus he gave us wrong information. Now we got screwed over a total of $ 3000 and there’s nothing they can do for us.

This post is regarding my experience buying a car (Mazda CX-​5). When the price was written on the contract there was a separate line for nitrogen in the tires and anti-​theft lug nuts…$ 300. Really??? I asked about that charge and the sales person mumbled something about customer safety. Haha
I declined even though initially the salesperson said it was a «must»…they could not take that off the contract. I was able to get them to remove it.
I like the car but it doesn’t have floor mats and it only has one fob/​key. Again the salesperson said it only comes with one fob/​key because it is a used car and it didn’t come with two. That could be true but after reading all the other negative feedback I wonder if that fob/​key is just sitting around waiting for someone to buy one for their car?!? Not saying that’s true, but instead just wondering.
Tell ya what Glenview Mitsubishi… I’ll re-​write this review in a positive way if you make good on giving me another fob/​key. I’m sure you remember me… bought the car on 7÷11÷15.

This dealership may have offered the slightly best deal but the deception was worth paying more to a different dealership. From the time we stepped into the shop they would not come out and tell us the truth. The internet price is a manufactured price with every possible cash back and rebate available but no one qualifies for all at the same time. Instead of explaining why the price was so different from other dealership they continued only to say you have the deal of a lifetime and come in so that we can talk about it. It felt like everything we were told we had to verify. They are not trustworthy.

Would never even think about purchasing a car from here ever again. I originally emailed 1 person to work with when buying a vehicle from there and they knew what I was looking for but got passed off to someone else as soon as I walked in. Not very professional. Also would not budge when tried to negotiate a deal. Price they asked for was ridiculous. It was not worth the price they were asking for at all. They just thought it was because it was a cheaper made car they made fully loaded to make it look better and more expensive. Don’t believe the online prices either, because they’re not what they say they are or the vehicle listed is not there. Walked away feeling insulted by the sales rep. I was asked why I would want to trade in my car (how do you make a sale off asking that) and gave me a crappy amount to trade in for which also they would not budge on to come to a compromise. Also made me feel insulted for not taking the «deal» they were pushing on me. Immediately left and ended up making a purchase at another dealership that same day that took complete care of me and I felt 1,000x better at. Would not recommend to anyone.

Is it possible to give a place negative 5 stars? If so I would. Glenview Mitsubishi had the worst costumer service and treat their employees soo POORLY. When your there to buy something worth a decent amount of money you want to be treated with respect and know the people who are working on your car to be treated with respect as well. After hearing words between employees exchanged I walked right out. Now knowing management had lied to employees about wages (heard from argument) I would never ever ever have my automobile worked on by someone who felt unappreciated because that work will show in our cars. This place has blown me away for their level of respect for people and employees. Therefore deserve that negative 5 review and service from no one who cares about their well being!!!

Warning, this place sucks!
First, the lady at the service desk told me «once you start using synthetic oil, you can’t go back to conventional.» And that was a red flag immediately. That’s NOT true. They’re just trying to sell you more expensive oil.
Second, there were only 3 people October 25, 2014 on a Saturday and it took us 1:45 for an oil change.
Lastly, they apologized for the long wait because they were washing my car. When the car was ready, they just showered it with water. I had to dry my car myself.

If you ever decide to go there to buy a car please double check all paper work that u sigh. I had an incident when they had me to sigh the additional car ins that I said I don’t need, I found out about it after came home to review my docs. It took for me more than 6 mns to get my money back (about 3k) on a top of it the car was making a nose that I was told will be fixed after they change a starter. Off course it wasn’t the real problem and I had to go back and force to them 3 times when finally they took my car to another dealership and mechanics figure out that it was actuator :-). Plus when I sign a car loan by the manager I was told that additional keys from the car I’ll get from the bank after will pay it off. Bank doest have a key neither dealership. When I called them to ask about the key manager said that they not suppose to give me extra key unless it will be reflected in the agreement and signed.
The worse experience ever…

I have never been insulted more by a sales person than I was today. I sent an email to Maria and I mentioned I was not yet able to afford the car ie had no down payment which I fully planned to have I was told I could come in and test drive the car and they would give me a $ 25 gas card. I came in met with Rose… Who immediately ran my credit. Told me the car I came in for which was the 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander Crossover. Was too much car for me. I was told the car I was eligible for was a
Mitsubishi Lancer… which is totally different or a used Dodge Caliber. I kept stating I was not ready to purchase the car yet still I was getting the hard sell for a car I didn’t even want. She then suggested I get a loan and make payments on a car I didn’t want and they could get me in the car I want in 8 months of stable payments. No. I guess my constant refusal of the other cars suggested or saying I am not ready to purchase the car was not enough. I was never told what the apr of the loan I was approved for was or the price of the car. I was told I could come back if I hit the jack pot and won the lottery. Are you kidding me? Can’t wait to roll up in my brand new 2014 Outlander purchased at Schaumburg Mitsubishi who have been nothing but nice to me and stick it to Glenview Mitsubishi.

I HATE this place.
Bought my Saturn ION in ’07 when they were still a Saturn dealership, My bad, I was tired and all that, but they ended selling me the car for way over the sticker price after it was all said and done.
But they were nice and friendly and seemingly helpful, plus my car was under warranty, so I kept going back.
Then the Service Department screwed with me something MAJOR. I urgently needed my keys replaced, so I called and asked if this was something they could do. They said yes, so I drove about 30 miles to get there (I used to live a lot closer before). When I got there, the gent who checks me in tells me he doesn’t think he has the part, because someone else just got the last one. «What? I just called an hour ago to see if you could do this and how much it would cost. I even asked if I needed an appointment!» He comes back, and tells me they don’t have the part. When I continue to complain, he says I should have called the parts department myself to make sure they had the part before coming out. «What? Are you KIDDING me? You expect me, your customer, to call your parts department, which you work with all day long, to make sure that you, the service department, will have the part you need to fix my car? When you, the service department, have just told me you can do it, no problem?» Yeah, the supervisor of the service department insisted it was my fault because I should have made sure the parts department indeed had the part. But, because I drove all the way out there, missing a day of work, and because I would have had to miss another day of work the next day, and because I am making such an incredible stink about this, he agrees to just charge me for the part, which he will have overnighted in for me. When I came in again, he did the usual showing of how much this all was going to cost. He told me he could not just charge me for the part (as I had insisted he do, and as he had agreed to do), but he would give me 25% off the whole price instead. I had priced the part at $ 75 at a parts store before even going out there. He had quoted me $ 125 parts and labor the day before when I drove out there for nothing. Now, all of as sudden, the price was $ 200, with a 25% discount! I thought I was going to have an aneurysm! I had them do the repair anyway (I REALLY needed it), but asked to speak to the general manager. The general manager was out, but called me several hours later – not to apologize, but to defend his staff and to tell me that I already had received a significant discount.
So, yeah, the Service Department sucks.
Yet the sales people have the temerity to call me about twice a year trying to sell me a new car and trade in my old one, even though I have told them that I will not ever set foot in their dealership again, after what they did to me. You gotta give it to them – persistent and courageous. I rant at them every time.

I recently purchased an used (non-​Mitsubishi) car off their lot. The car required factory warranty service that was caused by a failed part that the factory recommended be replaced prior to my purchase. I proceeded with the replacement and attempted to present my invoice to Glenview Mitsubishi for reimbursement as they sold me a car that was not in factory recommended condition at time of purchase. Their service department declined my request and claimed «there was nothing they could do for me, it being an used car and didn’t know why I was trying to PUSH this onto them». I’m not positive what I did but it does not seem that this dealership cares to retain me as a customer which I guess doesn’t surprise me since they did little to get my business to begin with.

Friendly and wow there bathrooms are nicer than most restaurants!

They don’t have guest wireless in their waiting area. Any self respecting dealership needs to have this.
Anyway, so after my car, 2000 Saturn LS2, failed the EPA emission test, I took it in for a repair.
The failure report already had the diagnostic code on it. I also ran a Carmd diagnostic on my car, and it suggested the replacement of the oxygen sensor.
Even after giving then this diagnostic info, they insisted on running a diagnostic themselves and charging me $ 115.
