Wow! Jason just lied in his response to my review! Or his employees are lying to him. Take your pick. I was on a phone call when they came in and they were nice about it and went straight up to the attic. No problem.
I spent a good chunk of time talking to them when they were done checking out the heater.
Of course putting my family in danger was not intentional. My issue is with incompetence and gross negligence.

It was good to talk to Jason over the phone as he was working on my air conditioning unit. I explained what was happening and he was responsive to what I was saying and does a lot more than just fix the unit. Checking electricity currents within the unit and temperatures in the different vents in the house it’s a complete and thorough job. Anyway he seemed to know what he was doing that’s why I called him back. I Had been experimenting with other companies but one wired my unit wrong and one could not detect what was wrong with it. Got a new capacitor, new motor.

We had a problem with the even distribution of heat on a house we recently purchased. I understand that with most 2 story houses, the lower floor was going to be cooler than the upper floor but this case was to the extreme. This was not comfortable for our new tenants. There was a 20 degree difference between the upper floor and lower floor. Elite was recomended to us by another 5 star HVAC contractor and in checking their Unilocal rating I called to set up an appointment. I left a message with their answering service and they promptly called me back. The lady was going to set up an appointment for their technician to go by the house to look at the problem and told me what their service charge was going to be. I agreed to the cost and they were going to set this up with my tenant. I later received a call back from her and she told me they were not going to charge me the service charge because this was going to be an estimate. WOW. How honest is this. Well, long story short, I talked to Troy after he did his inspection and he explained what he found and he gave me an estimate. I had them do the work and this is what my tenant said. «Whatever they did in the attic was a COMPLETE FIX! The hot air pumps downstairss when it’s needed and the downstairs is so much more comfortable to be in. The ability to control the upstairs and downstairs has been incredible and the house is amazing.»
So, my tenant is happy which makes me happy. These guys are honest, knowledgeable and professional. Thay are going to be our go to HVAV contractor.

I did my research here on Unilocal and I decided on Elite heating and air and I’m glad I did. This is one of those decisions that if you make the wrong decision it can be expensive. But Elite was a good decision. I purchased a annual program where they come out in the winter to check the furnace and then again in the summer to check the ac. Bryan came out to my house and was very professional, clean, polite and listened to all my concerns. He is very good at customer service. He told me ways that I could save some money moving forward and I appreciated the info. I would recommend them without any hesitation. Good price, and great customer service.

My client was in need of an inspection of their HVAC system right away and Elite was able to come out the very next day. Bryan was the technician and was helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. He identified a potential issue and was able to complete the repair in the same appointment. He provided a detailed report of his inspection and repair, and clearly explained what was done. He even spoke the same native language as my client which impressed us both even more. Elite has been added to my list of referrals for future reference.

AC was acting up on a very hot week. I had a previous company take a look and quote me something really high. I wanted a second opinion and called Elite. They scheduled an appointment really fast. Bryan came out to take a look and within a few minutes was able to diagnose and fix my problem. It ends duo being something really simple to replace which saved me hundreds! I’m so thankful that I wanted that second opinion. I will be using and referring Elite to all my friends from now on. Thank Elite!

This company has a lot of integrity. How often do you get to say that? I scheduled an appointment for a possible AC leak. The team called when they were in route and arrived exactly on time. Troy inspected and assured me that the unit was working as it should. I offered to pay for a maintenance /​check up and he said no maintenance was really needed. And since they were in the area, and no service was needed, there would be no charge for this appointment. This feels like a company I can trust. I plan to use them again.

I wish I could give no stars, or preferably minus stars. Do not even call this company. I am a 65 year old and am very disabled. I have called 7 local companies and at 6 of them, I was quoted from $ 49 to $ 54 for a diagnostic. Most of those will put the diagnostic fee toward any work they do. This company wants to charge me $ 129, they give no discounts for seniors or the disabled. In addition, they do not count any of this money toward work they do. I can only imagine how high their actual charges for work done by them must be. I think that after I gave my age and condition, I was given a higher quote. Rip-​off!

Had service call today, first experience with Elite — excellent! Top quality service at a more than reasonable cost. Professional, personable, what I expect of a top notch provider. Bryan was my technician — fully recommend. When I was seeking service, I called two companies. Elite returned my call, scheduled the appointment, the appointment was kept on time, and resolution provided — all before i even got a call back from the other company.

Can’t say enough positive things about Elite Heating and Air and the representative, Brian, who came out to look at our a/​c unit. After checking out the unit and the thermostat, he told us that it was thermostat issue and gave us the option of having him fix it or buying the part from Home Depot and repairing it ourselves. After paying him his much deserved service fee we thanked him profusely and in 20 minutes had our a/​c back on. Great company!!!

Our compressor was on it’s last leg, 25 years old and barely functional. They got us through one more summer so I could save up some money for a replacement by replacing the fan motor when that broke. Once the unit went down again it was a multitude of issues that made full replacement a requirement.
Elite did a handful of quotes for me for the work so I could look at various pricing options on equipment and overall replacement scope. I really wanted an automatic damper that would allow me to isolate the upstairs and downstairs without having to put in a full split system and Troy was able to get super cheap pricing on the equipment from Honeywell and they just installed it for their labor cost. That was such an awesome surprise!
Troy and the guys ran into some problems during the install but held true to their pricing and didn’t ask for anything to cover their extra labor and materials to get the job done. Get this — there was a duct that wasn’t even connected properly in a plenum space between my floors from when the house was originally built! They had to really work to get everything connected properly, way more than they had planned, and I can tell the difference — those vents actually blow a lot more air now that they are ducted! Before then, that space between the upstairs and downstairs would just fill up with air and leak out the vents. I was effectively cooling the gap between my floors. What a waste of money.
Not only am I saving money on energy costs with a more efficient unit but I’m saving money by more effectively heating and cooling my home now that I can isolate upstairs from downstairs and now that my ducts are connected properly.
I can’t thank Elite enough for their professionalism, staying true to their pricing even with unforeseen conditions during the work, and working with me on scope and pricing to get the system I both needed and wanted.

I highly recommend Elite Heating and Air in Elk Grove. Brian was very polite and knowledgable. The window of when he would arrive was between 10:00 and 12:00. He was here at around 10:10. He was very thorough. He explained everything he was doing. Their prices were very reasonable. We joined their maintenance program. The maintenance program could also transfer with us if we were to move. I like that. You won’t be disappointed with them.

Troy and company were right on par from the start. Detailed quote outlining the entire job that was going to be performed. On the day of the install, the crew showed up early and knocked the AC and furnace replacement out in 6 hours.
No nonsense, straight to the point and trust-​worthy. If you are in the market for AC or furnace replacement or service, I would recommend Elite Heating and Air in a heartbeat. Thanks again for a job well done.

Our HVAC system was 23 years old and we knew that we were living on borrowed time with it. It is a split system with compressor/​fan box in the backyard and the furnace and exchanger in the attic.
We got bids from several firms, all about the same price… in the area of $ 8500. Since this is real money, we took our time making a decision.
We chose Elite because they had come out before to make a minor fix and because of the ratings on Unilocal.The system we chose was a 4-​ton, Trane 14 SEER.
We were not disappointed.
The three elite installers showed up exactly on time at 8 AM!
They had all the new equipment on the trucks and immediately got to work. Troy, the job supervisor put in the large condenser fan box on a new pre-​fab slab in the backyard, removing the old fan box. He did all new wiring, installed a new fuse box and conduit. Troy is a perfectionist and when he was done it was almost a work of art!
Christen took down all of the ceiling vents and put tape around the edges which is now required by the building code. We bought all new vents and he then put those on.
Dan went to the attic and started to dismantle the old furnace and exchanger. Christian joined him soon after. Access was through a small trap-​door in a tiny laundry room but they had the right ladder and did not have to remove the washing machine. They lowered the (heavy) old equipment by rope and pulley and were careful not to drop anything on the side-​by-​side washer-​dryer (which they put a drop-​cloth over.)
Around 11:30 AM Jason (the owner) came by and brought lunch from Dickies BBQ for his crew. What a nice thing to do! Jason and I talked about the upcoming inspections by the 3^rd party certification company as well as the final county inspection and I wrote a big check!
After a very quick lunch all three hauled the new equipment up to the attic and spent the day in there hooking it all up as well as getting on the roof putting up a new vent pipe.
They were done at 5PM. They tested both the heat and air… worked great.
They said that they needed to come back the next day for about 40 minutes to extend one of the ducts. They didn’t have the needed duct strap and other materials. But we had heat, which was good as it was chilly.
They cleaned up every spec of dirt that got trekked in as well as hosed off the area near the new outside box. They house and yard looked better after they left then before they came!
This was a totally professionally run project. No one took a smoke break, there was no «macho» vulgar language, there was no arguing or bickering, they treated me and my wife with courtesy and respect, and everyone had a job to do and did it.
We’ve had this house for over 30 years and have had lots of work done on it. But we’ve never had a crew as good as the Elite team. They didn’t know that I had done a lot of research on how to install a system and that I knew the corners that could be cut, ones the average homeowner would never know. These folks didn’t cut one of them… everything was done to code and with care and to a point of perfection.
If you need a new HVAC system, I would highly recommend that you give Elite a chance to compete for your business. They are professional to the core and will do a good job for you.

You know when you try to do what you can to repair your own stuff and you realize you are in over your head? Yep… that’s us. Called Elite due to high Unilocal ratings to help us put back together our A/​C when we tried to clean it ourselves and it started smoking.
Incredible customer service — Fast arrival — Honest people, very knowledgeable and Elite is now our #1 heating & air guys. Anthony was awesome, quickly figured out what the issue was, and did it all without costing me a mint or recommending that I replace this or that when it wasn’t needed. I HATE when people Cheat me!
I wish I could give them «0» stars and report them to the FBI for this company con-​game. I don’t know who this company has lying for them, by giving these people
5″ stars, but they are a total ripoff.
Elite came to our house for a «Super» minor repair job, to replace the capacitor. It was a total of three minutes, (1-​minute to take of the air conditioner cover, 1-​minute to diagnose the problem, and 1-​minute to replace the capacitor) The technician charged us $ 310 to diagnose and replace this $ 7.99 part he said he had sitting on his truck «for no telling how long,» (He then had the nerve to say he was giving us a discount, because he originally charged $ 379, really?)
The amazing thing was after I let him I knew of the current scams reported on this very thing, first he lied about it, then he came clean and admitted that he knew the cost was a TOTAL rip-​off to the customer and he says didn’t agree with it, and then proceeded to blamed it all on the owner of Elk Grove, Elite Heating and Air Conditioning.
Unfortunately, my dear husband had already given him the check for the $ 310, allowed him to unplug the three little fasteners and to install the $ 7.99 part before I got to them. Hubby was then reluctant tell him to remove the Capacitor, and get a more fair quote from a more honest company.
Wow, scam, scam, scam! I’ve had it with getting ripped off by crooked car salesmen and heating and air-​conditioning repair companies.
