Blind Spot Blinds & Shutters

I can’t thank Jeannie enough for all she has done. She worked within my budget last year in 2014 for shutters and blinds combination. Now I wanted to add on 3 more shutters and she gave me the same pricing as last year. Plus she just stopped by today to put up paper shades for me. She added me as her last stop on short notice as I recently had a baby and did not want to be exposed while waiting for the new shutters.
Jeannie is amazing!
She also responds quickly to emails and calls, which is a major plus in my book.
I would highly recommend blind spot.

If I said that their customer service was outstanding, it would be an understatement! I contacted them for parts and they had them sent to us overnight free of charge.
Our home has plantation shutters that they installed almost 10 years ago and are still in great condition.
If you want a superior product that will last as well as amazing customer service this is the place for you.

We’ve used Blind Spot 2 or 3 times in the 4 years we’ve owned our home. You do like using the same company for continuity purposes, when doing rooms in stages, but I’m not afraid to go elsewhere if the service isn’t up to snuff.
In this case, we’ll be moving again soon and Blind Spot will be getting our repeat business when we land. They just do the job correctly.

We wanted shutters in our home for a long time. We shopped around and decided to go with these guys. These guys are the real deal! We had a friendly, helpful person come to our home, take measurements, make suggestions to the design that we would have never thought of to improve the functionality of the shutters and increase the value of our home. Staff was professional, from the opening measurements to the installation. When a shutter did not fit correctly (manufacturing flaw – not faulty measurements), the team went into action to ensure our happiness and satisfaction. A new shutter was ordered and installed immediately upon its arrival. Installers were always there exactly when they said they would be there, with a smile. AND THE PRICE WAS WAY UNDER WHAT I WAS EXPECTING. SCORE! I highly recommend these people for your shutters or blinds.

I had some shutters done by this company when they were a new business in Roseville located on Vernon Street. They look as good as the day they were installed. Now many years later I had some custom shutters done for my bedroom. They look beautiful. The service is excellent. things run like a clock, from the first appointment thru the installation. The phone contact with very efficient. The shutters make my room look bigger and lighter. they also provide darkness in the early mornings. they have changed the look for my room for the better.

What an I say, I wish there were more stars to give on this review. We found all the staff to be exceptional. Jeannie helped us with our choices (her background in Interior Design was a huge help) by making recommendations based upon the vision we had for our home. John and staff were so attentive to every detail and make sure that all our shutters and blinds were installed properly and worked well before leaving. The follow up after the sale was an added bonus as Jeannie and John (husband and wife owners) wanted to know how they did and if we were pleased. We let them know we were more than pleased, the quality of the Hunter Douglas products is amazing; the prices were more than competitive; the integrity with which the company is run is appreciated in this day and age of poor service and sub-​par quality and knowing that we were working with a local business with local ownership was the added benefit. We will continue to refer everyone we can to Jeannie and John at Blind Spot.

Since moving out here from the Bay Area, I have been making an effort to find great local businesses that offer both great service and pricing that can beat big box stores. When it comes to my windows, Blind Spot has won my business for life.
Thomas and Jeannie are two of the nicest, high-​quality professionals I have met in Roseville (that’s saying a lot because I have met a lot of really nice people out here). They’re professional, timely, clean, and offered me better pricing than the fly by night shutter guys that leave postcards at the door. Price out your windows at a big box store, then compare with Blind Spot’s pricing. You’ll be blown away. Plus, you get great design advice from Jeannie when she comes to measure your windows.
I had Thomas install shutters in my old house about 7 years ago. Since then, I bought a new house and needed some «c clips» for one of the shutters. I went to the old Blind Spot location on Vernon and found Thomas putting some windows together. He didn’t have any c clips, and suggested I call their showroom on Lonetree. I called Lonetree the next day, and Thomas already had the order ready; they just needed my address and the clips were mailed to me free of charge.

We upgraded the blinds in our master bath to roman shades. Jeannie came out and measured the area, we looked at various samples finally chose one. She is very personable & pleasant to work with. Her husband installed the blinds very nice job. We would recommend this company. Since we were in no hurry to have the new window coverings installed it was going to be a one month lead time before they could be installed. The quality is definitely there.

We contacted this company after moving into a house with Hunter Douglas verticals and were told by the previous owners this is where they purchased them. There was a problem with a screw coming loose and they told us they did not sell them because they would not have installed in stucco, however after contacting another company and taking the rail into them, Blind Spot was the company that sold them the information was on it, they were not willing to work with us at all. Terrible customer service. New company taking care of us even though they are not the ones that sold the product.

Great customer service! Great pricing and price matching, and great job installing them! They even put up temporary blinds until our shutters came in. They were so friendly and very trustworthy! Love a family owned local business that does a great job. Would recommend them for sure and use them again in the future!

I found this business at the Home and Gardening Event at Cal Expo as they were one of the 3 spots offering blind services from Hunter Douglas.
Whenever I call, I always received a live person on the phone which is a big plus because now a days, when leaving a VM, who know if the message is really received. I was able to schedule an appointment with the receptionist and she sent me an email confirmation which I was very pleased.
This business is a husband (John) and wife (Jeannie) owned/​operated where the Jeannie handles all the sales/​finances while the John handles all the installation/​handy work.
The first time Jeannie came over to present her product, i was thinking, she looks dead on like Sarah Palin and of course, me being obnoxious, i asked how often do you get that. Jeannie, looks at me, fixes her hair really quick then does an impression. My wife and I were laughing hysterically. Jeannie was very knowledgeable in her products as she explained the difference in the types of shutters and how other competitors offer the old product to save cost yet was able to offer the same price with the new product which is another BIG plus. The last big plus is she is able to price match any competitor offering the same product as long as we show proof, in additional will also throw in a $ 25 gift card of our choice to any restaurant.
I presented her a quote from a competitor the next day and within an hour she emailed me back stating she will honor the price quote. The main reason why i choose Blind Spot verses the other competitor is because of their outstanding presentation service and with john being an installer for quite a long time… and of course they were able to price match. =) Another reason to add is Jeannie is not pushy where the other competitors would try to get you to buy right on the spot and make you feel pressured.
John came over about 3 weeks later to install all 22 shutters and the sliding glass door blind all by himself as he was a 1 man show. I was very impressed as he was able to get everything done within 7hrs. I offered him water and snacks yet he was very polite and said he will get some later as he wanted to complete the job first.
Til this day on, 2.5 years later, i just recently called them for a question and I still receive a live person along with an email confirmation for when John will be coming over my house.
