Great company. Very responsive, experienced and cost conscious. They installed a new HVAC in our house two years ago for thousands less than what others quoted us and we haven’t had any problems since. The system functions beautifully. I would highly recommend them.

We had an emergency today. Our office AC was out and it was getting toasty. Mike, the owner, squeezed us in between appointments and came over pretty quickly. He climbed up on the roof and found the problem (a small part on the unit). We had cold air in less than 20 minutes of his arrival. I’ve used Airsmiths for years and they have NEVER disappointed. I would highly recommend them.

I’ve used Airsmiths three times, at two different addresses, and they have always been great. Mike is quick, professional, friendly, and takes time to explain the issues. I found them on Angie’s List, where they have an outstanding record (based on real reviews, by real customers).

After my initial review, Airsmith’s contacted me, provided me a bid for the work and have been very responsive ever since. By this time, we had several more bids for the project and had pretty much chosen a different solution, but Airsmiths solution was the most comprehensive and utilized some of the materials we already had as opposed to requiring us buy replacements we did not need yet. I’ve been impressed by there honesty and working hard to resolve our initial communication issues. Today was the first day of the install. Tomorrow it should be complete and hopefully by the weekend, our home will be more efficient and comfortable than ever before! Thank goodness because its looking like we will get up over 100.

My tenants called Tuesday night and stated the A/​c was not working properly. I called around to a couple places and no one could get me in for a few days. A friend of mine recommended Airsmiths. I called first thing Weds morning and explained my situation and they were able to come out that day. Michael showed up on time and immediately got to work. To be honest I was expecting to have to buy a new unit as I have had some issues with this one in the past. Michael showed me that the airflow in the house was being lost due to the coils being dirty causing the unit to ice over and explained he would just need to clean them up and we would be good to go. Micheal cleaned the coils and checked out the entire system while he was there. Their prices are reasonable but most importantly they are honest. I have dealt with a lot of companies over the years and its hard to find a place that will do the necessary repair rather then trying to push a new system on you. My Tenants called later that night and stated the house was an Ice Box and the A/​c was working great. Airsmiths has since serviced the A/​c at my other rental. Overall my experience with Airsmiths was great. They will be my go to place for all my heating and air conditions needs.

I’ve referred Airsmith’s in my real estate business to help my seller clients, and in solving issues with heat & air inspections for my buyer clients. If I refer someone and they don’t come through it’s a direct reflection on me. They’ve never let me down and they’ve saved my clients money on many occasions. They’ve earned my business.

Airsmiths did great work for us. Very cutting edge & very proffesional. We highly recommend them.

We had a positive experience with Airsmiths and would use them again. I have no hesitation in recommending them.
We found Airsmiths on the SMUD website among contractors who can do the SMUD Home Performance program.
February of this year 2013 I interviewed and got bids from 5 contractors from that SMUD website.
I was impressed with Michael Smith’s breadth of knowledge and enthusiasm.
We chose to go with the Home Performance Program because we wanted to do the job right and because it included SMUD and PG&E rebates.
We have a challenging attic layout because of the variety of vaulted ceilings in the home. Airsmiths removed as much insulation as was possible, then sealed air gaps. They replaced the HVAC unit with an Energy Star rated one, replaced the ductwork, and added a lot insulation.
We also requested installation of a whole house fan, additional roof vents, and a radiant barrier.
The whole project went smoothly. Each day the lead technician, Casey would update me on the progress of the work. This crew loves their work! They are thorough, meticulous, and knowledgable.
I appreciated their attention to detail including color matching and painting the new roof vents and cleaning up after each day’s work. Everything tested out according to specifications and we are very happy to have a new and dependable unit.
I simply have to give these guys FIVE STARS!

Mike and his crew deliver good customer service and knows the equipment and the principles of energy efficiency. He gave me a competitive price on complete installation of two systems for my duplex. His crew put a ceiling grill in a location I didn’t like and he had them move it. I would definitely get a bid from him on my next project. He’s on SMUD’s list so if you want to go the energy efficiency loan route, he can help.

I would not waste my time on a fake review, just letting Sacramento know what they are in for if they choose you guys, huge nightmare !!! Pick Airsmiths and you will be sorry !!! If you want garbage pick them !! Should have called 3 for action on them and exposed them on TV for all to see !! Should have told them to take their crap system out and give me my money back !!

Our system was installed in a timely manner and it works great. The owner and his employees were friendly. Also, they helped us with the SMUD loan paperwork we had to do to. Then they cleaned up and were gone! We are happy with Airsmiths.

Super happy with this company! Mike saved me twice on extremely hot days. I was desperate and I could tell that he wanted to help. The second time, he came at 6:30 pm where I’m sure other companies would tell me they’d have to come another day. He obviously has a strong work ethic and a desire to help those in need. Turns out he also worked on two neighbors homes directly across from mine. I happen to know they were very satisfied with him as well. I’ve received assessments of my system and bids for work, mostly suggesting I replace my system entirely. He gave me options that would save me money. Highly recommended!

Gave us an estimate for new duct work. The day before installation I asked what permits we would need. He angrily berated me for asking for a permit. (City of Roseville requires permits on home improvements such as these and if I got caught doing it without one — I could face a BIG fine). He told me that all the contractors that get permits are crappy contractors and that he would do a better job than any of them. I told him I still wanted to get the permits and he angrily agreed. This put off my job by a week but a permit costs NOTHING compared to a fine, or a bad duct work job that is no good and needs to be replaced. Plus — with a permit you get an inspector that comes out and makes SURE that they did a proper job. Who knows what I would have got without that permit. Mike also is not reliable — he shows up late kept giving me long excuses that included a lot of personal details of his life that he should not be discussing with a client. The inspector said the work was «ok». If you use him make sure you get a permit. Minimal cost and well worth it.
UPDATE — Mike do not call me again. Your response is FULL of LIES. My husband, an attorney, was on the speaker phone when you were chewing me out for asking for a permit. I waited a year to post this review because I was afraid of you. You were angry when I asked why you were not going to get a permit. You told me repeatedly I didn’t need one. I knew we would be moving out of the house soon and did not want you bothering us after I left an honest review on Unilocal.Do I need to warn the new tenants about you? Do not call me again. If you try to retaliate I will call the police. People have a right to know who they are dealing with.

I had a very bad experience with AirSmith. Mike, the company President, did an energy audit at my house, which he was late to. He said the audit report would take a few days to complete, which turned out to be 3 weeks. I scheduled a 2^nd appt to go over the report with him. Once Mike was 30 mins late to the appt, I called to check. He said he was just finishing up with another job and would call me as soon as he left. Two hours later he finally calls to say he’s on his way. I told him don’t even bother coming since the appt was 2 hrs ago. The kicker was he never once apologized, great customer service from the company President. But he did make sure I knew to send him a check in the mail– ya I’ll get right on that.
Will never use this company again… very disappointed by their performance.

We had Airsmiths place a bid for HVAC remodel on our home.
The estimator was really nice and the equipment offered was of high quality from a major manufacturer.
Although we went with Arrow Mechanical in Auburn, CA — I would recommend Mike Smith and Airsmiths to anyone in the «flatlands.»

It’s refreshing to find a company that does a good job AND stands behind their work.
We did a major home remodel, including replacing our AC and ducts. Air Smiths came recommended by our contractor and they did an awesome job; giving us recommendations and explaining the options each step of the way. 1) QUALITY WORK & SERVICE: A+
After the work was completed, we didn’t move into the house for a few months waiting for other work to complete. When we did move in, we ran the AC and were concerned that the sound it made might not be right. We called Air Smiths and they send out a technician. He checked everything over and explained that the sound was just the filter moving in the vent and showed us how to fix it. We felt pretty stupid, but were thankful for information, AND that Air Smiths did not charge us for the visit! 2) CUSTOMER SUPPORT AFTER THE JOB: A++
Fast forward 2 years to this summer. Our AC starts making a REAL noise then stops working the week we have out-​of-​town guests staying over. We call 3 different companies and are willing to pay whatever necessary to get the problem taken care of ASAP. Guess who makes it out first. Good old Air Smiths! Mike comes out the next day and fixes our problem that same day! Add to that, he charges us a flat rate while both of the other companies we called would have charged us hourly. 3) OVERALL CUSTOMER SERVICE: A+++!!

Mike at airsmiths was so easy to work with. Not that I want to have hvac problems again, but if I do I know it will be handled professionally and fairly!

I have worked with Mike Smith of ARSMITHS and am amazed at his dedication to his customers. He works long hours and does extra to make sure they are satisfied. He is prompt, courteous, friendly and honest. And is very reasonable. A cut above the rest!
