I give 3 stars because I wasn’t wowed not even a little bit. First off, when we arrived, we had to wait a while to be seated, which seemed odd to me being that there were a surplus of tables available and we had a pre existing reservation. Once we are seated, our server approaches. Now let’s freeze here for a minute. This guy was literally sick with the flu. You could here it all in his voice, see it in his mannerisms. We finally asked him and he admitted to us that he was really sick and they called him in to cover a shift. This was the first no-no. We preceded to order cocktails, we both had the margarita, it was phenomenal. I ordered the porterhouse, and she ordered the lobster cocktail and a mixed grill with a fillet, shrimp and scallops. My porterhouse was cooked very well, and the quality of meat was pretty good. The filet was great as well. The lobster cocktail was blaaah… Nothing to write home about. It’s a very small amount of lobster meat on a big bed of lettuce. Gone in a jif, for close to 30 bucks. The scallops and shrimp were decent as well but did not have the wow factor. The wine list is way overpriced. If you want a great wine list, go to Ruth’s Chris in the popular center, and in addition, their wines are half the price of mortons. By the time desert time came around, we were ready to go. If you’re staying at Caribe Hilton and don’t want to go far this place will do but it is not your destination steakhouse in Puerto Rico ! 3 stars, tops.

I’d give it negative stars if I could. We went in at 5 on a Monday evening. Place wasn’t even busy, there were four tables with people at them including ours. Half an hour later all other tables – including three people who came in AFTER us had received and finished their food and we were still waiting on two plates of appetizers. Waiter was not apologetic at all. An hour later we finally just left. As we were walking out we passed the guy who was supposedly getting our food twenty minutes earlier. Can’t comment on the food. Didn’t get to try it. But I won’t be back.

If you go here, get the Morton Salad. Amazing! Place is a little pricey but this salad worth every penny. It’s a must!

Horrible experience on 12.27.15. Sat in bar wanted something light, ordered Fr onion soup, it came out in a reasonable time, 15 –20 min. Also ordered a side of Brussels sprouts and baked potato. That took 30 minutes ! Attitude of the servers in the bar was horrible. Manager was not much different, go figure!

After a long day of flying into Puerto Rico from Oklahoma and a meet and greet with the wedding party it was nice to sit down and relax. Apparently we came in through the wrong door and the waiter was so polite. He asked if we’d been there before and explained that we could sit in the main dining room or the bar. He then took us to the hostess. We sat at the bar and our bartender was a wonderful young lady that walked us through the specials. They had a $ 45 three course menu and we both picked the Caesar salad, 6 oz filet mignon and key lime pie. My side was the green beans and my friend ordered the potatoes Lyonnaise. The steak was perfectly cooked to order as was everything else. We didn’t feel rushed even though it was late and near closing. We asked our bartender for recommendations for authentic Puerto Rican for for our trip and she wrote down one restaurant, told us of a few others and even polled the staff. This is my kind of hospitality.

The restaurant has a great view of the ocean as it’s backdrop. It was my wife’s birthday, the waiter was very helpful. My wife’s steak was delicious, her side of mashed potatoes had no taste. Looked and tasted like box instant mashed potatoes. Other than that everything else was excellent! Key lime pie was to die for!

I give it 4 stars because it’s Morton’s. But I wasn’t happy with the service. Overpriced., asking me to move to another table after I’ve been there an hour. To accommodate another party. Only 1 beer for happy hour? Come on.

I frequent at Morton’s steak houses all over the USA. My experience is normally from very good to great. The Hilton Caribe Morton’s is a very poor representation of Morton’s brand. I was there in May with 5 other people vacationing for a week. Our experience on the island was great, until we made a decision to go to Morton’s. By the time the food arrived was almost 2 and ½ hours wait, and the food was really not that great … almost $ 1000 bill and we only had one bottle of wine. They spill the wine, food was under cooked and the service was bad. Management was even worse… not a single attempt to help. The only response from the management was«We are doing everything we can because we are busy». I wish they would have told us that since they are busy they would compromise our experience … then we have gone somewhere else. Not a single attempt to apologize, they really did not care at all. I am sorry I went there at all(the only negative experience out of a week long vacation on the island) and I am sorry I took my friends there. I have had much better service and better tasting food at outback and Texas Roadhouse than Morton’s Hilton Caribe. Sad but very true. Thanks

This could have been the best steak I’ve ever eaten, with some of the best service I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The food was incredible. I had a filet mignon that was cooked perfectly, a giant baked potato, and some very savory Mac and cheese with bacon and onion. For desert– A chocolate soufflé that was to die for. The staff was amazing, and even had a special menu that called out it being my birthday. Great place to eat, and celebrate. Worth every penny.

Well, here’s the deal. Yes, they have a good reputation and yes, They have a good wine selection however… This particular Morton’s was below average for sure. 1) steaks were smaller than usual, maybe because it’s not on the main land? 2) the cuts were ok… I’d say Costco grade maybe USDA prime could have been USDA choice not sure(should have been noticeably better) 3) service was slow in fact our friends, who showed up 30 mins after we did waited over an hour and a half to get their meal 4) pricey… Yes, between the 6 of them(friends mentioned above) the bill was over $ 750 and they brought their own wine. Overall… Steaks were average, service was slow and the quality was below what I’ve experienced at other Morton’s restaurants There are other quality steak houses within walking distance(Fogo de chāo) and they are far better and deliver on the quality they promise.

This is definitely not the greatest restaurant in terms of service. My husband and I are staying at the Caribe Hilton which is attached to Morton’s steakhouse so decided to check this place out for convenience and we love steak. Walked in through the back hotel entrance at about 10:20pm on a Friday night(place closes at 11pm) and was immediately directed by the waitress to the front of the restaurant to the hostess’ desk so we can request a table. Unfortunately at that time there was no one at the hostess desk to be found. We waited about 5 more minutes and still no one to be found… so then we decided to sit at the bar area since it looked pretty lively and thought service would be quicker in this area. Nope– still super slow! Took forever to order! I must say once we finally got our food and drinks we were pretty satisfied. Although pricey, drinks were strong and to our liking. Our steaks were cooked to our liking and the sides($ 13 apiece) were huge and worth the whopping price. 4⁄5 stars for the food 1⁄5 stars for service This place has got to step it up.

I need to add that I spoke to the General Manager shortly after this incident and just received a generous giftcard from Landrys. I followed-up via email and was invited back. I really appreciate the concern of my comments.

The food was good, not exactly up to par with the price per plate, but good. It was nice to eat dinner in a nice restaurant with classy ambiance while on vacation. I have spent much less on steak and salmon that tasted twice as good. Service was wonderful!

The family and I came here for a nice Christmas dinner. Of course, we had to make reservations to get seated… With our credit card on hold… And they called us afterwards to confirm… Wow, could you get more paranoid? Anyways, dinner was great. Service was a bit lacking, as we kept having to call the waiter over as he passed by seemingly oblivious to our needs. The meat was juicy, tender and delicious. I loved the Chicago style prime at a whopping 22 oz. If you’re looking for a dressed up, fancier dinner at the Caribe Hilton, this is your place.

I love trying the local restaurants in San Juan and I have several favorites, but sometimes you just need a good steak. Although Morton’s is basically a high end chain the standard of food and service is generally very consistent and reliable. I was happy to find a location in San Juan. If you are staying at the Caribe Hilton, Morton’s is extremely convenient as it is right on the property. You can even opt to have your room billed if you are staying at the hotel. The crab cakes at Morton’s are amazing! I’m talking chunks of crab. Yum! My standard steak tends to be the fillet mignon. I’m a creature of habit but I am never disappointed.

The service was agonizingly slow, portions barely enough to feed a chihuahua, and the price was high enough to pay off a month’s rent. Would not recommend it unless one has tons of time and money to spend. Two stars because the food itself wasn’t bad. I’d’ve just liked there to be more and for the price to be a little less.

Bad neighbor — their rooftop exhaust is some kind of jet engine that shrieks from 8:30am to 1:30am seven days a week. It ruined our stay at the Hilton, and we were 8 floors above it — can’t imagine what the guests below us had to endure.

Got stuck in the 80s ok food, Atlanta better! Wait staff inattentive! Management is clueless, and lets local friends have their kids just running around and loud ruining it for the 6 couples around the kids trying to have a nice dinner! Truly lack of class!
