Great service, clean restaurant. Good list of wines at fair prices. Not authentic Argentine cuisine, a little pricey for local«morcillas» but great ambience and excellent staff.

A quiet no nonsense family style restaurant with AMAZING skirt steak. I got the 14 ounce and with tax and tip(no booze) it was only $ 35. Wonderful value. Highly recommended. Get away from the tourist restaurants and get some awesome grilled meet here. I also loved the home made sauces.

One of the best meals we’ve had in the local area. Just a stone’s throw from the Best Western, this place was above average. There’s outdoor seating, but we decided on the indoor dining room. We were seated quickly and the kind waitress took our orders, strongly selling the half pitcher of sangria. It was delicious. We started with the beef empanada which was perfect. It came with house chimichurri sauce and we asked for spicy stuff. She brought out a chile infused vinegar which was hot, hot, hot! I had the tres carnes mofongo which was nicely done. It had chunks of skirt steak, Argentinian sausage, and chicken. The chicken was a little tough though. My daughter’s skirt steak was excellent. She claimed it was the best one she had here, and that’s all she’s been eating. I had a slice. Finally, my wife had the Buenos Aires pasta which was fettuccine with shrimp and a velvety tomato cream sauce. It was a huge portion and she shared it with me. Great service, excellent food, and the price wasn’t too bad. Try it!

I had dinner the last night I was in San Juan. Just as some other reviews have stated the service is slow and the food is pretty good. I had the surf and turf and it was $ 40. It was good but not quite worth the money… maybe $ 30. The server was friendly but I think she forgot about my party at times. Each time she left it would take her at least 15 mins to return for small task such as a drink menu or to bring the check or for extra sour cream for the baked potato. When I got the bill I noticed the«surf» and«turf» we’re rang up separately and not as one meal(it was a couple dollars more separately) I brought it to their attention and they changed the price correctly and said it was their fault and the price of the meal would be going up in the near future. Overall it was a good dining experience but a little pricey.

Great Churasco and side dishes… also enjoyed the empanada appetizers. Service is casual but attentive. Jen is correct: it’s FREEZING… try to NOT sit under the A /C vents that blow right on you. other wise, I really enjoy this place for a good local steak which doesn’t cost a bloody fortune!

My husband is Argentinian and not that easy to please when it comes to meat. But, he loved this place. The dinner menu for 2 is a great value and the panqueques for desert are just like his mom’s!

Listen, if reviews were based on food alone then the skirt steak I just inhaled was an easy 5 stars. Just… perfect. My husband actually enjoyed it so much that he’s sitting here trying to justify ordering a second. Our drinks of choice — sangria and mojito — were good, but maybe a tad sweet for our taste. Side of baked potato and mamposteao rice were as you would expect. But dude, I’m sitting here freezing(why is the AC cranked up this high?!) and the waitress won’t make me decaf(even though it’s on the menu) so I can’t even get warm. When you walk in you feel like you’re probably gambling on dinner because the décor is so old and outdated. And service is s-l-o-w. So if you came to Puerto Rico and aren’t used to island time yet, this place isn’t for you. Luckily we’re here watching the Super Bowl so we had the talents of Katy Perry to entertain us. Booyah!

So far the least favorite restaurant in Puerto Rico and has been the most expensive. The waitress was a least friendly we have had yet.

:-(was hoping my first review would be better. Had a T-bone steak and the tail was completely missing as was any flavor or the steak. Was a «Denny’s» kind of steak. Took two bites of the steak and was done. Would have said something to the waiter, who seemed very nice, but he didn’t come by until it was time to go. Everything else was awesome though. Had some of my friends churrusco which was awesome-sauce. Also had an empanada which was great.

First off, decent selection of wine, within a variety of price ranges. Service was a little slow to start, however I did barge in and seat myself(there was no obvious sign to wait for service and it was late Sunday evening. I found the staff reserved at first, but very friendly as the evening went on. I only had some appetizers as I was pretty full from an earlier meal. they very good, although a little saltier than I prefer. I would eat here again.

This place was recommended by a lot of people so I had to try it to see what the hype was about. Came in here for dinner. Ordered the 18oz ribeye. The steak was tender, juicy and melts in your mouth. $ 34 Spinach empanada Cheese empanada Side of mixed vegetables Sweet potato fries Also ordered the Argentinian dinner for 2 not realizing how big of a portion it is.(Yes that was way too much food!) It had kidneys, sausage, flank steak, short rib, and sweet bread. It was ehhhh just ok. The ribeye was the best! I had the mango tango cocktail which has a little bit too much coconut rum in it… I was expecting more of a mango taste. Service was a but slow but I was not in a rush to be anywhere so it wasn’t a big deal. Bill came out to be $ 118 including tips.

Needed a place to hang out and eat before we could check in to our hotel after an all night flight. So lucky this was the first place we found. Great menu and NICEST staff. We both had the 3 meat mofongo(when in Puerto Rico) it was delicious… and and HUGE! Their patio area is great for people watching. 4 thumbs up from 2 happy travelers!

The skirt steak is to die for. Perfectly cooked and had a wonderful melt-in-your-mouth flavor. I would definitely recommend it. It was a shame that the service was rather poor. The waiter barely listened to our orders, the whole time attempting to balance one of the tables. He got one of our orders wrong and on top of that the two burgers we ordered had the wrong buns on them. One had two top buns and the other had two bottom ones. We actually found it funny, but it seems they really aren’t paying attention to the food they are making.

Got into this hotel to taste Argentinian food, unfortunately could not find many with out red meat, Service was great, chicken empanada was great, but chicken mofongo was not upto mark especially compared to one I had in mojito’s in old San Juan in my last trip 4 stars go to the waiter Jesus and the hot empanada but –1 to mofongo, BA is slightly expensive compared to similar ones

Monday night. ½ off any wine. Which means we got a $ 10 bottle of Malbec. You can’t beat that. Having spent time in Argentina, I can tell you with confidence that this restaurant is not very authentic. But we’re in the touristy area of Puerto Rico, so you really can’t expect otherwise. Oh and they have Puerto Rican fare like mofongo on the menu, so that also kind of gives it away. However, they do offer a variety of pastas and meats. The bread they gave us at the table was warm and crusty. They also provide a chimichurri sauce for the meat and a tomato-based sauce which I’m not really sure what it was for, so I slathered it on the bread. Each meat entrée comes with your choice of a side(baked potato, rice and beans, salad, or fries). I got the ½ churrasco(skirt steak) cooked medium rare, and it was large and filling. The taste was good, especially with the chimichurri, but it could have been more tender. The baked potato came on a separate plate, and was a warm, homey accompaniment. The space is nice, and the service was friendly albeit a bit slow. I’d say Buenos Ayres is a simple, solid option when your carnivorous cravings kick in. Go on a Monday so you can pair your meat with a cheap Malbec and be merry.

Drained after a long beach day. Overslept and missed regular dinner hrs. After an attempt to visit another restaurant which closed a few mins before we arrived at 10pm. We decided to walk back to our hotel. Buenos Ayre is right on the corner. Here’s the deal… Service albeit good and accommodating it was extremely slow. Our meals were ok. Drinks were good. I would return to BA only if my reasons were identical as my first visit. Real food late night.

Only came in for a drink on a Friday night when I saw the opportunity to sit outside. It was surprisingly empty. One thing that I noticed was that the majority of the patrons were locals. That means something– no tourist trap here. This is usually a good thing. Service was a bit slow for my taste, but I guess it worked. If I were in PR craving Argentinean food, I’d consider it.
