We ate dinner here during our stay at the Vanderbilt Hotel, Condado. The service was great and the food was delicious. We started out with the tapas, chorizo,. I chose the fried whole snapper with avocado and my friend chose the New York strip for ur entrees. The food was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is nice and cozy. Although it was a bit pricey, we felt is was well worth it. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We gave this restaurant a try because it was near our hotel and had a nice menu. The wait staff was very attentive and made good recommendations. We thought the restaurant was a bit overpriced although the food was pretty good. I was disappointed in a mojito that I ordered. When I looked closely after taking a sip(good drink), the«fresh» mint in the drink was quite brown and shriveled, making me wonder if it was safe to drink. Quite unappetizing. I probably would’ve left after seeing that but we had already ordered dinner and were served good food.

The service was horrible being as though the manager is super un professional and let’s his mermaids beg people to come to his tiny Resturant, unfortunately I accepted a flyer and decided to go. He seats you elbow to elbow to other guest then he comes over and talks extremely loud with his heavy harsh accent. The AVACODO salad was horrific along with the steak porterhouse which he claims he has the best animals however his animals taste like steak you’ll get at a buffet nothing like a Mortons, Fogo De Chao, Flemjngs, hell not even a outback or a longhorn don’t waste your money on this over priced business his mash potatoes were awful I could have used the boxed version and still ate better stay away from this arrogant evil man who shewed us away after we told him the steak wasn’t good he wanted to charge us 120 for only eating a salad then said we ran the bill up HOW ?? I’ve eaten at some of the best steakhouses and this is not a good place to spend your money on steak or rather anything at all he is cheap and over priced whenever I’m paying 50 bucks for steak I want the best ! Don’t say I didn’t warn you !

We came here while staying at the Condado area. While walking a woman gave us a flyer for a free drink with an entrée. The place is small but chic with great décor. Knocked off a star due to the service. Staff seemed pretty overwhelmed with a full house. I got the sense that this was a new restaurant. The food definitely made up for the wait time. My four year old and I shared the sword fish with mash and bacon wrapped asparagus. It was everything. The bacon wrapped asparagus was exquisite and the grilled swordfish tasted almost like the best chicken you’ve ever had. The mojito was really good as well. My daughter who doesn’t really like fish loved it. Definitely a five star place if they can improve their service.

This is great upscale little restaurant just across from the beach. The staff was very attentive and even let me put on the NBA playoffs on their TV. Nice and clean environment. Food was also delicious and tasted fresh. I had the fresh caught red snapper and my wife had an awesome avocado ceviche. The drinks were tasty and stiff as well. I would definitely recommend this place as long as you don’t mind paying a little more for a clean atmosphere and high quality food and drink.

My wife and I attempted to try this place but the service was pathetic. We were seated and forgotten. No menu, no water, no one asked if we wanted a drink. After 15 minutes and no one bothering to come over to help us we walked out. How do you seat a party and not give them a menu!

Came here for tapas on a Sunday night, saw it had high ratings so we gave it a try. Worst mistake ever! I ordered their spicy calamari which at the time tasted good. My boyfriend ordered their sausage and it had a long piece of hair in it. Our friends ordered their oysters and it was warm and tasted horrible! I ended up getting food poising from their food. Overall not a good experience and didn’t see what all the hype was. I do not recommend this place!

Came here for tapas and for the price was not worth the quality of food. Oysters were $ 3 each and not fresh at all. Maybe because I am from the east coast I expected better Blue Points. Our friends had hair in their food which was another turn off. Unfortunately very disappointed.

Fantastic food and excellent service! If you want more upscale puerto rican cuisine on Condado this is it! The restaurant is small so it is a more intimate setting. Probably not ideal for large groups. I had the crab salmorejo and strawberry tres leches. Come hungry because they do not skimp on portions. Definitely worth the price. Well done!

Food was outstanding and certainly worth the wait. The service although the owner was nice as well as our waitress it just took a while for the food to get to the table. And watching the chef walk in and out of the restaurant could be one reason why it took so long to get the food. Ceviche was the best I’ve had in a long time. Certainly another place anyone visiting the area should try.

I’m not going to describe all the delicious items we had, it would take too long. Fresh and made from scratch. We did five appetizers as I feel they represent the menu. If u are standing on the corner in front of this place Do not hesitate, go in, and enjoy

Walking down Ashford Ave — came across this restaurant — checked out the menu and looked like a number of good options from Tapas starters to salads and great selection of seafood and steaks. Familly run business with very attentive service — and delivery of our meals, drinks was perfect. Started off with the Cod balls Tapas and the Sausage Tapas — followed that up with the Halibut which was cooked to perfection laying on a bead of delicious mashed potatoes. My guests had the red snapper which came grilled — the entire fish on the plate — was also very tasty. Pricing ranged from $ 8 to $ 15 for each Tapas, Salads where $ 10, and mains ranged from $ 24 to $ 45 — $ 45 being the Caribbean Lobster — but average was about $ 33. We enjoyed the atmosphere, food and service!

Was staying near and happened upon Cayo. The menu looked really intriguing so we decided to try it. The food turned out to be pretty incredible. The menu retains its Puerto Rican roots but is striving and succeeding to be modern, edgy and unique. The taro root tacos and pumpkin soup were great, the ceviche/avocado special was wonderful, the seafood stew, a dish I have often, was among the best and most unique I’ve had, and the grouper was so good. The portions were generous, prices reasonable, and our waiter was charming. Yeah, I recommend this place!

Great place, awesome service, delicious cuisine… ceviche was super fresh and the lobster empanadas were a home run. Paella was great as well, do not miss when in San Juan!

Spent the night in San Juan before taking off on a cruise and wandered in this cute, little restaurant. Had awesome service and even better food. We tried traditional PR dishes and were not disappointed. Recommend this to anyone wanting some yummy fresh seafood.

Without a doubt, THEBESTPUERTORICANSEAFOODINPR!!! We came back to this restaurant maybe 2 times during our stay. Was recommended to us by someone my girlfriend and I met while kayaking, we asked her the places she had eaten and this was the first place she mentioned to us. Well worth every penny not to mention the service that they provide is A+++. If you are any where near San Juan and enjoy seafood anything and everything on this menu is prepared to perfection. However, I would like to point out that this particular location is small. but the quality of food and service makes everything well worth it.

We were craving for some«GOOD» Ceviche! After being VERY disgruntled and agitated from the wasted taxi fare and trying to get to that shack of a place over in Isla Verde, the husband was like lets go to the place cross from our hotel. He said let’s give them a shot… I was VERY skeptical given the fact that we were given a small Postcard/Flyer from a very attractive woman. To be honest, we were planning on going there but the irony was the woman, the flyer, and the free first round on them promo. Small but cozy. Modern but very chill. Noisy but what do you expect from a small joint. The Chef was pretty confident in his food. Good sign– no salt and pepper shakers on the table. Pricey but the food was VERY good. BUT– what I don’t get is why the mandatory 20% on the tipping? We were a bit thrown off by that and usually tip more than 20% every time we dine. We were just a party of 3? Confidence in staffing, waitering, hosting, and food should be enough for someone to figure out what they should personally give for the services rendered? Perhaps, maybe adding a mandatory 10% tip? Or even a suggestive tipping chart on the bottom? Sadly, that’s all they got from us. Kind of disappointing. Had to remove the 1 star from this review.

Bad… bad…bad… New to PR and wanted authentic food. Was ushered in by a promoter outside. The restaurant was 2⁄3 full and most guests were enjoying drinks. We were shown to a back are by the restrooms to accommodate our party of five. The promoter realized it was right under an A/C duct and did offer a shawl to my daughter. His attention and the kindness of one waiter(more on this later) are the reasons for any stars. We ordered a variety of things and expected to wait at least 35 minutes as one dish was a speciality. The actual wait was an hour and a half! At one point, my daughter became so hungry and tired she began to cry. A different waiter was asked if there was a problem with the order and he was kind enough to bring out some rice. Our waiter had disappeared and was not seen again. Here is the breakdown of the actual food orders. The crab appetizer was lackluster(and seemed imitation), special risotto was passable. A mofongo dish came to the table cold. My daughter’s chicken breast was dry and overgrilled. Will not be returning…

Great food with great service! The food is amazing… my boyfriend had the cod and I had the crab entrée. Freshly cooked, stylish presentation, the restaurant itself was decorated to match the nearby ocean. The ambiance was relaxed and romantic. Our server(I forgot his name) was so enthusiastic and had a great personality(this is such a plus especially for tourists who know little Spanish). The only drawback would be the tables are placed closely together(it’s a fairly small restaurant) and if the table next to you is loud enough, you could pretty much join in their conversation. But on a Monday night, there were only three tables occupied so it wasn’t too bad. I will definitely be back again. Hopefully they keep up the awesome work. Thank you for a lovely meal!
