Denny’s

Staff was friendly at this location but waiter disappear at times. My blueberry pancakes where not cooked very well. Over all average.

Once upon a time, this was the Denny’s to go to. Now, it’s a sad left over of horrible service, lazy cooks and drunken club goers. I ordered a green skillet, the new promotional plate, and I essentially got French fries. No honestly, they replaced home fries with French fries, skimped on the veggies, tossed on some avocados so I wouldn’t say anything and shoved it in my table.
This is not the first time it’s happened to me, last time I was here with friends, they made us wait an hour to order, then another hour to get our food, on top of having to deal with with waitress’ attitude and cold food.
AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE.
If you want breakfast go to Basilia’s or Più Bello they’re right down the block, the food and the service is better.
I can only hope that this Denny’s gets their act together, and go back to the service they used to give, very disappointed.
The worst part is that pretty much any Denny’s is better than this one. These people are lagging behind.

It’s a Denny’s, it isn’t the Ritz. Service was fine, food was good, and it was $ 20 cheaper than eating at our hotel.
The menu is a little smaller than back in the States, but they have all of the staples.

If you want to waste over 2 hours for breakfast with non-​existant service for tourists and a cold meal, this is the place to come. We waited over 20 minutes for someone to take our order, then sat watching locals who came after us get their breakfasts. When it finally arrived, the eggs were cold as was the rest. I asked the waitress to heat it up, and it did come back freshly made and hot with someone’s medium length dark hair draped across my hash brown and eggs. We waited so long for the check, I finally went to the cashier to ask for our check. It was an annoying way to spend our last day in San Juan. This is the Denny’s in the shopping mall with CVS and next to the Ritz Carlton and near the Hampton Inn. It had been nearly empty when we arrived and packed when we left. I am warned another American couple waiting for a table that they better not be in a hurry since it could take over 2 hours.

As mentioned before the service here was really slow. Overall the food was pretty good, we didn’t have a single complaint about the taste. Food came in about 20 minutes after ordering and our host Xavier was polite. Will come back before we leave the island, definitely a decent breakfast/​snack choice in the area.

The truth is the slow service is what deserves 2 stars not the food which is whats most important. I really hesitated to come here because of the star rating but really people need to focus more on the food quality and not the overall experience. If a place is not dirty and the food meets your expectation than dont leave a shitty review because of your lack in patience. Honestly though dont come here if your starving because you will get annoyed, so try to have a small snack. Anyways we had blue berry pancakes and sausage, and the human torch skillet which is some fiery potatoes with mushrooms jalepeños bell peppers tomatoes with a hint of sour cream, It was the breakfast of a champion for $ 30. The waiters are really friendly especially ours who’s name is Xavier.

This was the absolute worse Denny’s I have ever eaten at. The service was extremely bad and non existent. I never ate my meal due to the fact that they brought out my food 20 minutes after they brought out my families food at the point I completely lost my appetite. The cheese sauce from the chips con queso was ice cold and had to be sent back. The restaurant was empty so there was really no excuse for such lousy service and cold meals! Worse food ever.

Just as important as food is service. The service here is awesome. The host Antonio was attentive and had a great sense of humor. He makes the welcoming into Dennys very inviting. Our waiter/​server Christian was fabulous, great personality and explained all menu options. And to top it all off the food was good. The stuffed veggie omelet was more than enough. Turkey bacon delicious. The pancakes with peanut butter wonderful. The strawberry pancake balls are a great starter. And the bathroom was clean and smelling good. Happy we went.

The service from Jeirryann was awesome she was very attentive to our table and even answered our questions regarding snorkeling even thou she could not be of help she made it her objective to actually hand us a flyer that could be of service regarding snorkeling tours.. Then food was ON POINT ! portions were very good just enough to fill you up but not make you feel heavy.. We will definitely come here again. .can’t wait to try their lunch! Good eats everyone

Careful! The Denny’s is in the mall a couple miles down the road near Hampton Inn. It’s far from where it says on the map! We were wandering the sketchy streets at 4am, but finally got here, even though the reviews were bad. Good thing we did!
Vanessa was our server. We had a great experience. Fresh off the plane from CA and had a great breakfast w great service.

Food was good. Waiter brought the kids food first then 15 minutes later the adults got ours and 5 minutes later we got our toast. You have to find the waiters to get what you need.

Denny’s should shut this place down. The service is non-​existent. The cooks obviously work on their interpretation of the menu. I swore the ultimate skillet came with sausage. Obviously, the server and the cooks were under the impression that I was misinformed, that is until I pulled out the menu and showed the server that sausage was a part of the ultimate skillet. Sadly, they brought me a plate of lukewarm «sausage». This place was the «ultimate» let down.
The manager was too busy hanging out with the local police in the booth by the front door to even notice how horrible this place was. But hey, at least he had on his Mr. T starter kit.
I will never ever eat here again. I’d rather starve than eat here.

2 consecutive days of having hair in my breakfast. Smh. Should have learned from my first experience. Hopefully they’ll think of something to avoid this inconvenience.

Unfortunately, the poor reviews prior to mine appear to be accurate. Incredibly poor service. It took approximately 10 minutes to get recognized by the waitress. The food was ok. My friends experienced some issues while trying to pay for their meals. The cashier had some difficulty charging the right amounts despite the total price clearly marked on the bill. It’s the only restaurant by the Ritz that’s open 24 hours. Maybe they realize that and figure people will come in no matter the quality of service.

If this is the Denny’s next to the ritz Carlton, avoid it! My wife and I ordered take out late one night from here. We took the food back to our room and found a green bug crawling in my wife’s avacado salad.

Eating out in Puerto Rico is not like eating in the 50 states. They don’t feel the need to constantly check on you at your table, see If you need a refill, etc. that being said, I do feel like this Denny’s did provide a level of service close to what I’m used to. As for the food it’s typical of all Denny’s so there should be no surprise there. Convenient location to isla verde hotels. Staff all pretty friendly.

Can’t believe we wasted $ 30 on breakfast here… We don’t even eat here in the States! Well, it’s been a long time so now I know why we stopped going. Greasy and very heavy food. Can’t believe a lot of natives eat here. I would rather eat same greasy food at BK for a third of the price. Service was also slllllooooowww.

The food was like allways, the service was bad, they were slow and clueless.

Just saw a waitress blow into a bag of salad so she could toss it. Yuck. Took forever to get served. Seems the natives get first preferance. Food cold but OK.

Thank goodness for Denny’s the breakfast there was amazing each time. I got the sizzling veggies with over easy eggs the first day and the following day I had the same with egg whites. Mom got the pancakes and eggs.
