Been here three times and all three times they’ve failed with their customer service
1st — server completely forgot to enter our order. Waited forever and only after I asked them about our order did they realize they never entered it into their system
2nd — ordered via justeat. Only to get a call later saying they ran out of food on a Friday at 7pm!?! Seriously?
3rd — once again, I went to the restaurant to order take out for my family. Waited forever and only after I asked them about my order did they realize they didn’t enter my order into their system.
It’s really too bad because when the food does show up, it’s quite good. But sadly, I’m out of patience.

Somehow found this restaurant in the middle of nowhere (not a Poco-​resident) and have been so impressed with their consistency. Sushi Koo offers exclusive and impressive sushi rolls at a reasonable price, this has to be the what keeps bringing me back as their ingredients definitely set them apart from other sushi restaurants.
I have never had or enjoyed a sushi roll that combined juicy banana before Sushi Koo, this Japansese resto is a must-​visit in Port Coquitlam.

The food quality here is surprisingly good. The problem is after ordering five different rolls they all pretty much tasted the same. And the tempura California roll while a good idea on paper is less so in reality. The tempura quickly looses it’s crunch and then it just masks the taste of the other ingredients.

I would consider myself a local expert on sushi, and would have to say this is your worst option in Port Coquitlam. My first visit here, we received extremely poor service. My friend did not receive their food until after we had basically finished all of ours, and the staff refused to do anything about the bill. The 1 or 2 times I had ordered there since, I felt as if their rolls and sashimi tasted off. Last night, 4 friends and I ordered delivery. It took over an hour to get our order when they estimated 45 minutes. Our hot items were delivered cold, and I ended up being up all night with food poisoning.
Sure, they’ve got great prices and a decent menu… but there are so many other great sushi joints in Poco to choose from. Avoid Sushi Koo!

I come here often with my friends. It’s a great place with delicious rolls. I personally love their Hawaiian roll and their Pumpkin and cheese roll.

Fresh food, friendly staff and a variety of food to choose from. Only street parking but not an issue when we went. Highly recommended to all that go we travel 20 min but worth it.

We’ve been here twice for dinner, and really enjoyed the food — great little local sushi place! Found all the ingredients very fresh, tasty, nicely presented and well priced. We came on a couple busy nights when all the tables were nearly full and with only two waitresses running the whole place, service tended to be a little slow. They did a good job and were extremely friendly considering all the chaos, but it would be great to have someone else on staff… either way, we will be back.
