I am aways on the look-out for good quality, affordable breakfast joints in the Tri-Cities. I came here for the first time with friends who had claimed this had been their favourite place for the past couple of months. They raved about Martha’s signature hash browns, so I knew that had to be one of the first things I tried. When you first enter Martha’s, you have the chance to read the menu that is on the chalkboard behind the counter. Then you can place your order at the front and grab a seat. They had a pretty good selection of breakfast options. This included classic sausage/bacon and eggs, breakfast sandwiches, omelettes, and benny’s. I opted for the garden omelette and was able to substitute the toast for fruit. The food arrived quickly, the portions were hefty, and I was pleasantly surprised with the taste of the hash browns. Excellent quality for a breakfast that was only $ 7.99. Martha’s is a seemingly quaint, family run business. It is a little on the small side, so just be careful when going at peak breakfast/lunch times. You should definitely check it out if you are in the area.(And give their hash browns a try!)

Pleasant little family run breakfast/lunch joint. With not a whole lot to choose from in Port Coquitlam this a decent place to get a fresh sandwich and soup and at a reasonable price. We have also had breakfast from here which Is plentiful but a bit on the boring side nothing spectacular just average eggs hash browns toast but worth the price They have some fresh baked goodies as well for that sweet tooth. They do run strange hours and the crowd seems to be a lot of regulars from Port Coquitlam retirees ect. The restaurant it self is a little dingy and if I hadn’t read these reviews I would have never tried it but happy I did. I just prefer to take to go.

After reading all the reviews we thought we would give it a try as we were really craving a good bowl of soup. We had to give it a rating but 1 star is too much! We ordered 2 cups of soup, both of which had zero broth and were luke warm. The Chef salad had brown lettuce, green tomatoes and a hair. The Santa Fe salad looked like someone had eaten it once already, had way too much dressing, soggy lettuce and stale tortilla chips. We ordered 2 oatmeal raisin cookies for dessert both of which were hard like bricks, even after warming it up still was hard and stale. To top it off its way overpriced for what you actually get, the total for 25oz. cups of soup, 2 salads, and 2 stale cookies was $ 25.20.

Probably shouldn’t call this a bakery. Went in at 8:30 on a Sunday morning and all they had were a few cookies. Was hoping to pick up a few pastries. Looks like they’re focusing more on breakfast than baking.

If your looking for a delicious lunch with the biggest sandwiches in the Tri-City area look no further than Martha’s Bakery! You must try their lunch special which comes with the biggest ½ sandwich you’ll ever have, a bowl of delicious home made soup and a drink. I’m glad I popped in, I’ll definitely be back… By far the place to be. Hope this helped!

Popped into Martha’s today for the first time. I work in the area, and someone had suggested it on the fly as I frantically ran out the door in search of rations. You walk in, the counter is right there, then you look past and theres a lot of dining space too. I had a club house sandwich on sourdough. There is nothing that makes me happier than a sandwich with more meat than any human could possibly need, then when you think its just TOO much, put bacon on top. ooohhh yeah. Thats exactly what they did. The turkey was fresh, the sourdough was perfectly toasted, and the bacon… oh my darling bacon. It was perfect. lettuce and cucumber finished it off(cause I hate tomatoes). I just wish they were open past 4!

This family run business is busy, and a preferred spot for the locals. Located in the heart of ‘downtown Port Coquitlam’, Martha’s bakery serves a great breakfast, an even better lunch special(VERY satisfying SOUP and SANDWICH deal), with great coffee. This deli /bakery is lively and local. The owners take pride in their service and the food is hearty and home-made. The best part, is that they make their own bread, right on the premises. This lends fantastic freshness to their cookies, coffee snacks, and BEST of all — Sandwiches. The décor is funky, with many of the original art /glass /and mirror creations attributed to the owners. Their location is easy to get to, once you’ve found them, and the deli is bright, and bustling. Highly recommended! Especially for lunch, or coffee. There are a few tables streetside, to watch the neighborhood pass by, or to soak up a southern tan.
