I love this place! Run by an authentic Japanese couple, real ma and pa. I hope they never close because I love the noodles and soup. A real treat to have in the neighbourhood and such nice people, feels like going to a family dinner.

I gave it one star not because of the food but the service. We have ordered 2 ramen, fried rice and pork stickers for four. As always we usually shares foods so we asked for 2 additional bowls. Instead of politely serving the request, we were roughly told that they didn’t share food with additional bowls in their«own country». It literally means it is not right to ask for additional bowls or you shouldn’t share food. We were shocked and felt awkward. Eventually they did give us additional bowls because of our first time visit. But I would say it is our last and only visit. In term of food there is nothing particularly special.

This place is easy to miss but has AMAZING ramen! I’ve been a few times and I really wish it was closer to home! Whenever I was in there one guy does both the ordering and the cooking and gets it all out even when the restaurant is busy. 5⁄5!

Not sure if the detractors have ever had Ramen and know what to expect, but if you don’t like this place, you don’t like Ramen. This is a small husband and wife owned establishment with one focus RAMEN, and it shows. The gentleman is the chef with his wife running front of house. The broth has a deep complexity that is missing from most noodle houses, it is truly special. The noodles are hand made(not sure if he does it in house, I bet he does) and the texture is perfect. No matter what he finishes with, it is top notch so you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but my favourite is teriyaki chicken ramen. I’ve had Ramen all over the city(never been to Japan though) and this is easily the best in the Lower mainland, not just Coquitlam. Those downtown Ramen joints lack the right combination of broth, noodle and finish, but the owner is an artist. You must go!

This is my favorite ramen to go place in Coquitlam. Owner was the chef in a ramen place in downtown and he now owns his own joint. Their ramen broth is not those thick ones but is very flavourful. My favorite is their hand-made gyoza. Especially the vegetarian gyoza. I think is one of the best gyoza I’ve had from all the ramen places I’ve been to.

Nothing particularly special about the food here. Considering this is in Poco and its Ramen… its decent. The gyoza are heavy on the garlic. Overall the broth is ok and the noodles are alright. Its a nice alternative to phở if youre looking for noodles in soup in the tri cities.

Nothing special about this place. I ordered the bbq pork Ramen and it only had 1pc. that’s right 1pc and my wife had the seafood and it barely had any and what little it had the seafood decentigrated must be frozen? !. For the price, I wouldn’t come again.

Very limited menu, was nobody else in restaurant when I was there. Ramen was good but lacking ingredients and nothing on menu was very exciting

We moved from Yaletown to Port Moody, and this is definitely the best Ramen House in the Tri-Cities…there are not a ton of options but this is solid, mom and pop made Ramen. All the classics, not disappointed at all.

Small place, looks like a mom and pop operation. Clean, nice décor. They seem busy during lunch. Ramen was good, tasty and VFM. Added the gyoza — they were nothing special, usual factory made type(they all looked exactly the same). Very good, polite, friendly service :)

I had the miso ramen and added the gyozas. The broth is flavourful, noodles have a nice texture and the toppings are generous. I was quite pleased to discover this hidden gem! No need to head to downtown vancouver for a good bowl of ramen now! The owners were also very friendly and accommodating. I had my baby in a car seat and they made sure she was very well secured and stopped by several times to make her smile if she started to fuss while eating. I will definitely be back!

This is best ramen I’ve ever had, and I lived in Japan for a year and a half. Second time I’ve been and had the vegetable shio with wontons added. Husband had the seafood shio and loved it. We’ll be back again very soon. Oishii !!!

I had the vegetable ramen as I was going vegetarian that day. The soup was flavorful but not salty. The unami flavor kicked in only after several sips of the soup. It’s not something that struck you right away. The ramen had a nice chewy texture. I also had the tofu gyoza. The skin was thin and had a slight crisp. It was surprisingly good with just tofu and minimal veggies in it. I’ll go again to try the other ramen. I just wish the lady boss would smile more. She only smiled after I paid the bill. Could be because I gave her a tip. Lol

Small, comfy and cozy. I went here a couple years back when we lived in a Coquitlam. Was super sick and wanted some hot soup. So grabbed my friend and went for some Miso ramen $ 8.95 and side of gyoza. $ 2.75(4pcs). The owner and his wife are super friendly. He’s half korean and Japanese and has been making ramen for 26 years. Quick and fresh and lots of parking! Will be back soon!!!

Tried the charsiu(pork) ramen — it was quite good. Nice small family run ramen café. Limited but simple menu, primarily shoyu based broth, no tonkatsu. Would definitely come back.

Finally came here for dinner after driving by quite often. I’m not a ramen expert by any means, but i can say that the noodles are nice and springy and the broth is rich and hot. Ordered the basic miso ramen with the 4-gyozas for extra 2.50. Noodles has some basic toppings, but the focus was the noodles. It’s worth stopping by to support this little mom and pop place. Quite a hidden gem for Coquitlam

Great home-style Japanese ramen secretly tuck in a small strip mall in Port Coquiltam. A gem waiting for you to discover. Noodles Owner operated. Good service, make you feel right at home. There is nothing pretentious about their food. Every ingredient is well balanced, not over-powering one another. Specializes in ramen only. Offers miso, shoyu, spicy miso, vegetarian and couple other flavors. It was a real delight to find their ramen is freshly-made to have smooth yet thick and chewy texture. Chashu pcs are soft, not overly soya-marinated that you can still taste the a natural pork favor and texture. Their garnish is also generous. We found plenty of bean sprouts, corn and bamboo shoot in both the Chashu ramen and the Miso ramen we ordered. To keep a balance with their Chashu and noodles style, their soup style is not made to be super salty and thick like those you would find in downtown. In a way, we like how their soup flavor is elegantly simple to compliment the rest of the dish. Will definitely come again when we are in the area.

Had a craving for ramen one day and came across this place and I’m glad we did! Tucked away off the main strip of Lougheed, it truly is a hidden gem. If you’re not looking for it, you’ll just drive right by it in the blink of an eye. The place is quite small with only a handful of tables and bar seating. The woman can sound a little harsh but don’t let that fool you or put you off, she is actually very friendly and as we were heading out, her and(what I’m assuming is), her husband came out and spoke to us for a few minutes. Dishes came out in good time and was absolutely delicious! All I can say is that we will definitely be back!
