I’ve always gone to Fire and Ice for a warm up drink the last time I went there I was taking my just turned 18 year old cousin out with her sister who had just finished uni and coincidentally I had been fired that day. On telling the bartender this and a bit of friendly banter and coercion on my part he was nice enough to give me a free drink. If you have trouble choosing like me you can just describe to them what you like and they will make you the ideal cocktail. Their French martinis are really delicious. A precarious perch on an interesting leg fashioned stool later you can listen to the jazzy music and chat and soak up the atmosphere and your tasty beverage. With the train station right there you can check the times maybe stay for another drink and be on your way out!

This is the perfect place for an after-work drink — and obviously the whole of Subiaco thinks so too, because of an evening it’s full of be-suited revellers straight from the office. The décor is quirky and stylish, with mismatched chairs and interesting light fittings. The staff are knowledgeable and take bartending seriously — you can rest assured that your cocktail is in safe hands. Prices are slightly higher than in some other local drinking holes, but it’s a nice, lively place to spend an evening.
