Haven’t eaten here but enjoyed the coffee and the always friendly service. Good coffee, normal Perth prices, better than average Perth service, chilled out vibe. Like it.

The coffee wasnt bad, but the chicken B.L.A.T. was incredibly over-priced. I guess some things never change in Subi. No toilet facilities either.

Pretty standard cool little café, plenty of seating inside and out. Cash only but they made my coffee while I went to the atm which is pretty cool guy of them to do. Coffee was hot bitter and delicious, couldn’t ask for much more. Triple shot for no extra charge which is always a good thing. Oh and they have one of those cool slow drip glass coffee towers — cool as the coffee it produces(zing)

Your train’s coming in 5 minutes but you really want a coffee? Louis Baxters will get that takeaway cup of coffee in your hand within 3 minutes! These guys run a fast, tight coffee making service in the morning. It’s always busy yet they pump those coffees out faster than you can say«I’ll have a double decaf skinny mocha latte with soy milk thanks». And if that isn’t fast enough, you can jump the queue with prepaid coffee cards. Nice! The servers are always friendly and happy. I haven’t stopped to eat here and see this place more as a coffee stop than a café to sit and linger. Perhaps that’s why they close on weekends and do better with the working week caffeine fiends.

Come for the coffee, return for the service. I recently started a new job in subi and so began the search for a new daily coffee haunt(in my case 3 times daily …). Despite the large range of options for my hourly fix in subi, this little gem has become my hands down favourite and second home. The coffee here is amazing and so is there range of snacks and baked goods. But what will really keep you coming back is the staff, always friendly, always fast and they make a point of ensuring everyone through the door feels welcome(they had learnt my name after my second visit). Love this place… It’s all I can say. Putting customer service back into perth.

Great location. Good coffee. I don’t normally like Campos coffee but these guys do a good job. Food was lovely. The Bruschetta was outstanding, must have with smoked salmon.

Fantastic coffee but the food is a little inconsistent in quality. My third favourite place for coffee.

Overall, a little disappointed with the food, or maybe I had set my expectations a tad too high for this place, but if we never try, we’ll never know, yes?

Been here three times now. Amazing brownies for only $ 4! Then great house-made baked beans with spinach, sourdough and yummy potato rosti. Great flat white too. Third time, yummy potato and leek soup with fresh bread and another great coffee. My partner had a pork roll that I kept stealing bites from too. Reasonable prices for Perth/Subiaco and no complaints about the service at all. I think it could even be 4.5 stars. But make sure when you go to grab the bench seat, the concrete blocks are cold on your bum.

In an area where there is an abundance of eatery options, cafes wishing to do well in Subiaco need to be full of buzz, excellent customer service and great food. None of which I can say for LBs. I found their coffee great, thanks to the awesome barista on duty but as the ambience was lacking, I wish we had ordered takeaway and skipped on breakfast. Like other Unilocalers, I chose baked eggs from the limited menu which were just ok. Unfortunately the rude service we encountered was from Laki, joint owner/manager, so it is no surprise that the rest of the staff are flat.

I figured if Eamon could win Celebrity Masterchef, than his café must have great food. The café itself is funky with trendy and minimalist touches, but on the small side. You would be lucky to fit more than 20 people in it. The coffee was Campos, which is big over in the east and something I normally love. I am not sure what they did to it, but it wasn’t the Campos coffee that I remember. I hope for their sake it was just an off day. The food wasn’t that much better. I entered expecting flavourful food. The offerings were basic. The service was quick, although the staff looked unhappy. I tried hard to get them chatting, but they were not interested at all. had the lamb sandwich, which came presented on a wooden board, with no sides or anything. The lamb wasa bit chewy, not the tender mouth watering I was hoping for. All in all a big disappointment.

Louis Baxters is a mediocre breakfast joint in Subiaco. The menu is incredibly limited. I usually don’t have a problem with that though because when a restaurant has a limited menu it often means that they don’t do much, but what they do do, they do it well. Not so in Louis Baxter’s case — the food is bland, unimaginative, and was a little on the cold side when it arrived on the table. The prices are reasonable enough for Subi, but that’s not saying much. It’s still $ 18 for a mediocre full breakfast.

This is Mr Eamon Sullivan’s first endeavour into the café society and I was interested to see if his skills in other arenas, extend to operating a café. I may or may not have ventured to Louis Baxters in(naïve) hope that I may see Eamon himself. Maybe if I had seen him, his good looks would have distracted me from such a lukewarm breakfast experience. I had high hopes for the place, the fit out is very cosy with a funky ‘recycled’ aesthetic. The coffee is made with the much hyped Campos coffee, which whilst it was a good coffee, I think Fiori beans do just fine. I believe coffee is as good as the barista. From a very limited menu, I ordered the baked eggs(which I didn’t really have an appetite for) and found them to be a little bland and the eggs undercooked so that the whites were still runny. Not pleasant. I have had similar Moroccan style egg dishes at other cafes with way more flavour and flare. Damn Eamon, I really wanted to love your café. Hopefully there will be some future tweaks to the menu that lure me back
