Enticing desserts. Love the lemon meringue tarts and New York cheesecake :) Awesome burgers too.

Best baristas & coffee in Perth CBD. The dedication & precision and friendly attitude from the baristas are amazing. Fantastic print hall quality food for café prices. Yum!

Great place for a cbd lunch. Based on all the great reviews and coffee recommendation from The Urban List I had to try this out. For lunch I ordered a beef and bacon pie plus a single origin espresso to maintain my caffeine level. The pie had beautiful flaky pastry, the meat was tender combined with a delicious thick gravy. The espresso came with soda and had a bright flavour. The music adds to the atmosphere and with the place tucked away under street level the outside seating is cool and comfortable.

These guys serve breakfast from 7am on weekdays and there is so much to choose from. They bake EVERYTHING themselves and it was hard not to get distracted by all the delicious goodies in the cabinet whilst ordering breakfast. I had the scrambled eggs on GF toast and my husband had the pancakes which looked amazing and he claimed they were delicious. My eggs were great and perfectly cooked. The coffee was fabulous and they have their beans available for purchase.

Okay so I came back here a week later to try out their breakfast menu, and fell in love with their granola option! Normally I stay away from any sort of cereal option for breakfast, but for some reason I thought I should give Small Print’s granola a go. It was crunchy, sweet, and absolutely delightful. The papaya slices were generous and caramelised banana was also gorgeous! The presentation was beautiful too. I also tried a bit of their mushroom on toast, but the general effect was mediocre at best.

To me, small print = perfection. I need to go here more often, food is sensational(gnocchi? do it). Great atmosphere, plenty of seating, nothing to fault. Can’t wait to sample more delicious treats.

My work colleague Linda was moving to a new job so we decided to go out for lunch on her last day. Although I’ve been exploring many of the food options near our work(mostly Shafto Lane /Cloisters) we usually grab something to take back to the office so we took our time at Small Print. It was our first time there, and it was immediately evident on walking in that it was a top establishment — the baked goods look amazing even from a distance. Even at 1pm on a Friday we were able to get a table, which was surprising — especially given the meal we were about to have. Ordering is done at the counter, which is no problem although we had to split up to prevent losing our table. The worst thing about ordering at the counter is the endless amount of delicious looking things you have to look at while you wait — there was a blueberry tart in particular that was almost irresistible. I ordered a flat white and it was excellent — not too hot, and super smooth — the kind where you finish the cup and immediately consider having another one. Linda and I had the wagyu brisket burger on brioche with onion rings, which sounded expensive at $ 25 but wow — it was impressively big when it arrived, and was quite possibly the tastiest burger I have ever eaten. The brisket was so moist & delicious, and was covered in thinly sliced red onions, pickles and loads of sliced red chilli — then covered in melted cheese. This was truly amazing, and I’ll be having it again soon(after I try their gnochhi and fried chicken with hot sauce…) My workmate Andrew had a brioche breakfast BLT(with egg) which was one of the things in the counter — it looked about 6 inches high before being placed in the toaster and certainly didn’t disappoint. What a fantastic lunch — I can’t imagine how anyone who works close to Small Print keeps control of their waistline, or their bank balance.

Seriously, what’s not to like here? — indoor and outdoor seating — ample space /not cramped — various seating options(high w stools, small, large, & communal tables) — newspapers — not too loud — super friendly staff — excellent sandwiches — great coffee — bit funky vibe despite many suits in clientele It’s pretty much all good. No flaws for me. I stopped in here for a quick lunch before a CBD meeting — choice of venue based on existing Unilocal reviews — and really liked it. My latte was delightful. My roasted(& toasted) veggie sandwich was super. It wasn’t overcrowded despite lunch rush. So yeah, I wouldn’t hesitate one moment coming back here and trying their other sandwich options($ 10 – 11) or one of the warm lunch dishes … or possibly breakfast!

This hidden gem in the city is amazing! Great coffee and ambiance. We sampled the lunch menu today and loved the two dishes we had. Salt and pepper squid and buttermilk crispy chicken. The squid were light and crispy as. The dish was served with generous greens great to balance out the ‘unhealthy’ dish. Buttermilk chicken was scrumptious! Served with a healing side of siracha to spice things up a lil. Full of flavour and not to oily too. Just how I like it. The venue has a great indoor and outdoor space. Perfect for a quick lunch bite in between work hours. They serve a great choice of sandwiches and pastries also ideal for a quick take away for city workers :) Staff was very friendly and attended to me quick. Will definitely sample more of their food again. Too bad I don’t work in the city :/

Wow. Blown away. This place was just awesome. I’ve walked past on street level so many times and didn’t know it existed. A different feel to Print Hall yes feels so familiar. All the staff are friendly and product knowledgeable. They have their own coffee roasting machine — how cool. So you know it’s fresh and will taste amazing. We ordered 3 coffees and a cheese cake to go. Coffees were superb. Extremely clean tasting. Not burned. Milk was made to perfection. Loved it. If you haven’t been here yet. Go you’ll love it. The place was busy and a mixed crowd of business professionals and shippers. They offer a wide variety of pastry products and bread. Check out the massive meringues. I’ll be back.

This is a nice café situated in the lower level atrium of an office block. The ambience is pleasant and the food is good. It’s good for either business meetings or friends’ getting together. It’s easy to chat, the acoustics mean you can hear a conversation easily and it’s a nice vibe. Great coffee is served here and there’s very good service. Thank you

Great food in nice(although sometimes a bit too noisy) atmosphere. The staff are serious about their coffee and there is even a viewing room where you can watch them checking all the beans for perfection. I got a toasted Panini and it was lovely. The desserts looked pretty impressive too.

Woah! Perfect winter hideaway for those dreary urban days. The warmth and wholesomeness of SmallPrint envelops you as soon as you walk through the door. Delicious homemade soups warm the soul through winter, and for under $ 10, with a side of crusty bread, it’s a cheap eat too. I guess it’s almost the kind of ambience I would expect at Central Perk…

Finding your place amongst the scurrying staff and legions of «Suits» extras doesn’t really make for a fun morning, but boy does the coffee at Small Print make it worth it! The coffee menu is vast, ranging from their amazing Cold Drip(available in a convenient takeaway bottle), various speciality coffees and your regular black or whites — everything is expertly made and they do a great job of putting more than a just a pep in your step. The only real downside of Small Print is the unpredictable waiting time — with every visit, I’ve never gotten my coffee before the 10 minute mark. As Small Print resides in the bustling Brookfield Place, this is not the café for customers who enjoy serenity — it’s always bursting with excitement and a high customer turnover. None the less, for CBD workers and coffee lovers alike — this is a coffee haut that is not to be dismissed!

Absolutely love this café! The thing that first compelled me to walk in was the unique interior. The shop is just so modern and clean, simple and beautiful. The coffee is also just perfect! You can tell these people are serious about their coffee and it shows in the quality of what they roast, brew and serve. To accompany the perfect cup, try one of their tasty pastries. Really top notch! So indulgent! If you’re a serious coffee lover, go to Small Print!

Wow! What a revelation this place is, tucked away under the Print Hall at Brookfield Place, I never new this place existed until I saw it on Unilocal.Small Print are a bakery and coffee roaster, so needless to say the food and coffee are top notch. From freshly baked loaves to toasties, croissants, pastries and pies, everything that I have tried here is a winner. As for the coffee, all I can say it’s the best coffee I have had in Perth. The Baristas are switched on and with the roastery at their disposal, the coffee is absolutely delicious. It has a rich, thick crema and loads of character. I’m a convert, ’nuff said! In fact, I think it’s coffee time right now ;)

Highly recommend the Duck Pastie! The coffee is also a winner at this place. Be sure to check out the menu board to select a coffee blend. I have only been on a Saturday morning which I am guessing would be quieter than during office hours on weekdays. It is located in the new Brookfield Precinct area and if you are on a budget and unable to eat at the high end restaurants, Small Print offers an alternative. It is pastries and rolls that they serve.

I have been greatly impressed with Small Print, though I have limited my visits to coffee and salad! I have eyed off their lovely looking sweets; somehow finding the will power to resist. It is for this reason I avoid here of a morning since they are all baked fresh on the property and I have been told by friends that the smell is simply too irresistible… Each of the salads has been unique and amazing and the coffee beans and barista make a fantastic artisan cuppa; add to that they have a purpose fit fridge where they make cold drip filtered coffee(perfect for a hot Perth afternoon) I regard this as a favourite for a weekday lunch.

My first visit to Small Print was short and sweet. Just called in with the Boss to grab some coffees to take back to the office, as the Boss has heard they were packing some impressive fire power on the coffee front — with some very fancy roasters and the machine itself. I perused the food cabinets and basically wanted one of everything! On this visit I kept things simple with an old classic — the ham, cheese and tomato roll — fancied up as it was jamon, manchego and tomato. I thought $ 9 was pretty reasonable for the size and as they bake the bread in house. So I took my roll and a coffee back to the office and had myself a Small Print picnic. Loved the roll and I don’t usually gush about coffee but they know their beans there because this coffee tasted amazing! Look forward to heading back — another tick for Brookfield Plaza!

Small Print, what a perfect name for the small café located underneath(and part of) the Print Hall. So this place had me at white tiled walls, but it would still be a super cool establishment without the tiles. It’s a bakery and roastery so they specialise in beans and bread, coffee beans that is. The coffee is obviously spot on and they have a great looking selection of lunch offerings from a few salads to lots of different types of breads stuffed with lots of tempting fillings. You don’t have to squint your eyes to see how awesome this place is. I think I may have found a new favourite café in the CBD!
