Love Choo Choos! Came here yesterday for after work drinks with a couple girlfriends and we were surprised to see there was no drinks menu. Hadn’t heard of this before, so was unsure about what to order, but it ended up being awesome! The bartenders tailor made drinks to whatever we liked or felt like. We gave them flavours we liked and every cocktail they made us was so good! The bartenders are super cool and had us laughing the whole night — especially Brett & «Patricio»(Patrick). We were totally sold when we found out about their super cool Creed cover band, Deerc hahaha. We’ll be back next Friday! Looking forward to making this our regular Friday night spot. :)

Small, quaint and affordable. This place is a modern area, in a busy, exclusive and trendy precinct. The atmosphere is friendly and fun, delicious cocktails and a young, urbane crowd. The place is all this, but is still down to earth as I was let in with shorts on… something I got rejected for at Lafayette next door! It’s awesome. Check it out!

With the wealth of small bars opening around the Perth CBD and multitudes already there to choose from bars are needing to bring something else to the table to stand out from the crowd and Choo Choo’s does exactly that. The venue is a small elongated room on the lower level of Brookfield place and can be a little hard to spot. The interior is warm and inviting and the first thing you notice when you walk in is the amazing drinks these cocktail chemists are creating behind the bar. There is no menu at Choo Choo’s, instead drinks are made based on your cocktail preferences, instead tell the bar tender your liquor of choice, preferred flavours, sweet, sour and dislikes, or simply let them go wild with their creations, either way you’re in for some of the best cocktails you’ve ever had! Definitely a must if you’re in the area for dinner.

Hot damn. I like a place without a menu, it gives the bartenders the opportunity to be super creative. And they are! This is one of Perth’s best and it is also home to some of our best bartenders. Great back bar and the crew always guarantee a good night.

The boys know how to make delicious cocktails. Always great vibes and they have deep understanding of what the costumer wants. Try their special daily cocktaila!

Amazing bar in Perth! Brett was a great bartender who knew his stuff. We talked to him for a good while while he educated us on some drinks. Mike(Choo Choo) the owner is a great guy. Him and his partner were showing us plans for some new ideas. It was an awesome experience. Aussies are great people and are extremly friendly! I would definitally go back! If it wasnt another 12000 miles away. but you never know! Thanks for the memories guys!

My friends and I like playing a game called«What’s Your Favourite Cocktail» with bartenders. And it really is just as simple as it sounds, you go up to a bartender and ask them to make you their favourite cocktail. We have some absolute world-class bartenders in Perth, and they are so much better than the limited cocktail lists that some places have. Some of the best drinks I’ve ever had have been from playing this game, and the bartenders making something up. This is the basic philosophy behind the drinks at Choo Choo’s. They ask you what you normally drink and they make something up on the spot for you! It’s so much fun! Last time I ordered a drink with gin, not too sweet. The citrusy concoction hit just the spot! They also have a small cocktail list on a board, and a good selection of boutique beers if the cocktail roulette isn’t for you. The bar itself is pretty small. It’s gone for a grungy dive-bar feel, lots of 90s rock playing, nice and dark, candle light(which sucks for photos, but is awesome for atmosphere), low benches and stools to sit on. Which is a little surprising considering the swank of all of the other bars in the area. Good for groups, as the benched sections tend to be fairly communal, with a tables-for-two around. Prices are reasonable(by which I mean Perth-reasonable), again, especially for the Brookfield complex. I don’t know that I’d stick there for a whole night, but it’s a great spot for a few cheekys!

Choo Choo’s is great, its like walking back in time to when bar tenders actually put effort and passion into making a drink. The bar staff here really make an effort with their drink making, asking you what flavors and things you like and then custom making a drink for you, its awesome! not to mention free popcorn to nibble on while you and your bearded friends pretend to be hipsters. always goood to include this bar in your friday night st georges tce venture!

Pretty cool little bar. Different from the rest in the Brookfield stable of bars that include Bar Lafayette and Bobeche… They don’t have a cocktail list. Just tell them what you like(my choice chocolate and sweet) and they will whip you up a cocktail– I got a white chocolate lemon cocktail– yummy. Very hip feel, trying to get the vibe of an old school dive bar. The owner«Choo Choo» was really friendly and happy to have a chat.

It appears to the the latest hipster hangout within Brookfield Precinct which it is in no way uppity or exclusive, in fact the more the merrier! The crowd was a mixture of 20 – 30 years just enjoying the lively atmosphere, free popcorn — which lured us in! and cheap drinks. Choo Choos is in no ways a conventional bar, firstly the staff are very friendly and welcoming, and you don’t need to wait very long to be served. Wine and other drinks are served in glass or plastic tumblers, which is an slightly unusual, but a novelty. The sangria was a hit at $ 5 as well as cocktails of the week. There is a small handwritten food menu located at the tables and nooks of basic bar snacks. They have done well to transform a slightly awkward space as the crowd is dispersed throughout. Overall, an interesting addition to Brookfield with the likes of Print Hall, Bar Lafayette and the Trustee which are more upper crust establishments.

Choo Choos is a lovely little gem amongst all of the mediocre wankery places in Brookfield place. Cosy, casual, friendly and great service. I came here for a work event where we did a cocktail-making class and I’d highly recommend it! The great bunch of guys behind the bar were funny and engaging and got everyone to pay attention and take part. We tried our hands at the cocktails and in the end they picked two winners to create their own cocktail with free reign behind the bar and the team picked the ultimate winner. Great team bonding day all round. At the end of the class we had planned to move the party on but ended up staying the rest of the night in Choo Choos for the top notch atmosphere and delicious cocktails!

The staff are genuinely happy to be there, and why wouldn’t they be? The place is busy and yet still feels intimate and comfortable. The drinks are wonderful and their knowledge of cocktails is second-to-none.

I came here on a rainy Tuesday night so obviously it wasn’t going to be packed but I really enjoyed the venue. There is heaps of large wall art and its not to bright and not to dark. It is below ground in Brookfield Place. All the bars in this area are so amazing I love them all. Choo Choos has little nooks to sit in and a large bar area. The staff were really friendly and keen to have a chat. You even get free popcorn to snack on which I thought was a great touch. They played really good music as well. I can’t wait to go back here.

Nice and casual small bar in the Brookfield Place basement area. Staff are super friendly and are happy to recommend their own special cocktails and craft style beer. Initimate atmosphere which was prefect for our small group who just wanted to chat and not be in a busy/noisy bar.

Six months has passed and there’s a special spot in my heart for Choo Choos. Every visit has been wonderfully relaxed and delicious. It’s not that I don’t like the other offerings in Brookfield Place. It’s just that I can take only so much of glammed up gals and suited guys. No offence to anyone but it’s not my thing. The staff here aren’t wearing matching outfits and are happy serving up the drinks. They also have a wicked sense of humour. It remains one of the few bars where I feel comfortable enough to order a cocktail without scrutinising a menu since my first visit. They could serve me a drink that was on fire and I’d happily take a sip. Perhaps that will be my next order.

We visited Choo Choos last Friday night for a few drinks around 10pm. The small bar is tucked away below ground level directly opposite The Heritage. The front door staff are very welcoming and there was a nice and relaxed atmosphere inside. The crowd is mixed. Some seating inside. There is a dedicated wheel chair lift for access into the bar. Great night and a good alternative option for drinking inside of The Brookfield Precinct which mostly has high end restaurants.
