Just did a Banquet for $ 32 per head as part of the North Perth Rotary Club was probably cheaper, 7 courses great food and value. They even put any leftovers in containers without being prompted which there was plenty of!

Tasty & Fresh Vietnamese food at reasonable prices. The restaurant is nicer than a lot of other cheap asian places in the area so it is more appropriate for a corporate meeting or catch up with family. Highlights are the beef phở, duck salad, wonton soup & the prawn & pork toasts. YUM! bookings may be required on weekends or for big groups but i have never had a problem getting a table. They also do takeaway.

What a gem! Came here with a few other couples for a casual meal and was amazed by how good the food is and good value by Perth standards. I ordered the beef bun(rice vermicelli noodles, bean sprouts, carrots, beef and light sauce), while others had a coconut curry dish which was fantastic and the spring rolls. Service was quick, ambiance is simple and functional, portions are generous, and the food really shines. Would definitely come back for takeaway or a casual lunch/dinner.

Been here few times, and would definitely keep coming back! It’s more of a Vietnamese fusion dining. Great atmosphere, staff were friendly. Loved the rice paper rolls as entrée and the dipping sauce were to die for! Personally like the flame grilled chicken and the stir fried beef fillet with bok choi broccoli and honey pepper sauce! Dish portions are generous too! Great for family or group of friends outing.

Dined here last night and I was delighted at how delicious the food was compared to some other Vietnamese places around town. Have been told to come here by a few friends and I certainly wasn’t disappointed! I ordered the Lemongrass Beef Vermicelli while my sister had the Beef Phở. Large portions and both very tasty. We finished off our meals with dessert, something I’ve never tried before. We ordered the Azzura Gelati Icecream. Every restaurant should have these! The Apple one is just out of this world. Could have eaten 10 at the least. Definitely will be back here for sure, very soon.

Yum yum yum! Phi Yen is a Vietnamese restaurant me and my mum go to ALL the time! It started out because we lived so close but now I have moved away from it I still find myself going here alot. The food is so fresh and tasty and the staff are really friendly. Its BYO and its never too hard to get a table there, not matter what night of the week you go. The duck salad, ginger fish and roast duck with plum sauce are notably some of the best dishes! Its good for groups or just a dinner date with your partner. Highly recommend!

Had to come 8000 miles to give a five star review. This unpretentious place delivered everything the other reviews promised. We had the vegetable spring rolls to start and boy were they great-crispy outer with spicy and fresh interior. For mains we had a chicken dish(can’t totally recall which) and the salt and pepper and chilli battered squid. Both were wonderful. Different to Chinese food as he sauces are much lighter. Two tiny gripes are that the noodle dish we chose($ 12.50) was actually a cold dish but wasn’t obvious on the menu and we were given some sauce on the side for the noodles but weren’t told what it was for. But these are very minor gripes. I found service friendly and attentive and the food memorable. Perth I’m envious.

Great food and pretty good service. Can get a little noisy. I had the crispy skin duck with honey and it was delicious. Everyone else’s food looked pretty good too.

Phi Yen is another one of my office’s regular haunts for a quick takeaway working lunch. Although I have only ever taken my food to go, the restaurant is almost always busy and the food is really well priced. I highly recommend the rice vermicelli with spicy lemongrass beef, vegetables & fish sauce — it is light and fresh but the serve is so generous that its still completely filling. You can’t not order the rice paper rolls either — they are amazing! Definitely value for money!

Amazing Vietnamese cuisine in the heart of Northbridge! Phi Yen has excellent, friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere. The dishes are filling, tasty, and very well priced. You’re looking at between $ 12.50 and $ 20 per meal, and most veggie meals are around $ 14. For vegetarian lovers I recommend the Tau Hu Xao Lan: bamboo shoots, capsicum, tofu and onion stir-fried in red curry coconut sauce and topped with crushed peanuts. Yum… And for you carnivores out there, how about the Bo Xao Rau Cai? Stir-fried beef with bok choy and seasonal mixed veggies in soya sauce, topped with green and fried onion. Phi Yen also does a heap of seafood dishes as well as take-away options for most of their meals. Definitely a worthwhile restaurant to visit in you’re ever hungry in Northbridge.
