I absolutely love this place!!! The coffee is amazing, the food is spot on and the staff are like your friends from the moment you walk in… Friendly service and a great location, I would seriously recommend you stop in for coffee and or lunch… They also have some really cute retail items, ideal for a gift or something a little different.

What a sweet little find in Northbridge. Don’t let the outside deceive you to thinking it’s not that big. There are some fantastic options in the menu, the hard thing will be to choose what to order. We had the Strawberry Granola Tart, Neptune Fritter and the Potato Head. The Strawberry Granola Tart was visually stunning, full of flavour and colour. The Neptune Fritter and Potato Head were quite similar. Both had perfectly poached eggs and a tasty potato fritter, both come recommended!

Tarts is a cute little café with a homely and welcoming atmosphere, making it a comfortable place to dine. Take a peek at their little fridge and you can see plenty of sweet treats, all made fresh in store. Yes, it can be a bit hard to decide what to get sometimes too. Mum had the Grande breakfast($ 24.90) which comprises of scrambled eggs with bacon, chorizo, grilled tomato and mushrooms served with ciabatta bread. If you want a hearty breakfast to make a grand entrance to your day, the Grande breakfast is for you. I had a taste of each element and they are so delicious, from the fluffy scrambled eggs to the perfectly cooked chorizo. For me, I had the potato head($ 19.90) which consists of two poached eggs, asparagus, mushroom, spinach and hollandaise sauce on a potato cake. The eggs were poached perfectly with liquid golden egg yolk oozing out, drizzling down to the plate. I love the potato cake at the bottom. Slightly crisp on the outside and soft in the inside complementing well with the creamy textures of the hollandaise sauce and earthy flavours of the mushrooms. One must not leave Tarts without trying out what they are popular for — their homemade tarts! We shared a Raspberry Tart($ 6.80). The pastry was perfect, it was crisp and crumbly, complementing well with the sweetness from the raspberries. Overall, we had a great dining experience at Tarts. The service was very friendly and attentive. Tarts Café makes a perfect place to catch up over brunch or indulge in their delectable pastries or tarts for afternoon tea.

This was by far our best brekky since moving to Perth. Excellent experience overall, including the ambiance, food, and coffee. We first sat outside in front for a while, but moved out back where it was still pretty empty at 9am on Saturday. The back patio has a great feel with around 10 tables surrounded by plants and under large umbrellas; it filled up at ~9:30 — 10:00 with the brunch crowd. We very much enjoyed our brekky here. We opted for the Savoury Cake with optional chorizo and the Neptune Fritter. Both are gluten free, and both were delicious and filling. Great ingredients that were excellent on their own and produced delicious flavors in combination. The sweet potato and sundried tomatoe fritter in the Neptune may have been our favorite item. Hollandaise was also great. Oh, and perfect eggs. The coffees(latte & cap at first) were very nice. The macchiato was really excellent. Bit more milky than typical, but I’d go back just for that actually. In conclusion total 5 stars for me. 3.5÷5 for previous 17 reviews? Harsh crowd these Perth Unilocalers!

I’ve been here before and the service was the bomb! Treated me so well and also my little 3yo cousin was treated like a star. This next time round just seemes a little off. Staff weren’t quite as friendly and all seemed quite distracted, hopefully I just caught them on a bad day! Went here for lunch with my sister and was so happy that they brekky until late! Coffee was nice and hit the spot, just not perfect! I ordered the potato cake with asparagus and poached eggs, really yum! Especially that hollandaise sauce– although with all its creamy goodness it needed something sour to cut through all of it. Maybe a tomato or a bit of relish. My sister ordered a seafood pasta which lacked a lot of seasoning(I saw her adding so much salt and pepper!) But then mine also lacked seasoning as well now that I think about it. I like that it’s a mini shop with cool accessories and such to browse and purchase. The outside back area is also gorgeous with the pastel coloured furniture and friendly feel. It’s a place I’ll come to again and hopefully I can catch them on a good day again!

Moroccan pop up dinner , This is the third dinner we have been to. Food nice, could be a bit hotter. Service declining at each visit .no attention. No selling of drinks. Meals placed on the table by staff who do not speak … Will be our last visit

I really love going to Tarts and my mum is the biggest fan– whenever she is in Perth, and also when she did live here, she went there almost three times a week for breakfast! It is in a lovely location on Lake Street in Northbridge and has nice indoor and outdoor seating options. There is a few nick-nacks you buy alongside the food including gorgeous jewelry and a few select bags and clothing. The food there is good, notably breakfast! The prices are a bit expensive depending what meal you get but it is worth it. The service is great too with all staff members being friendly and usually remembering you if you visit there a couple of times!

Catch up lunch with the girls today at Tarts! One of the group suggested this as the venue and I was glad that she did. I rarely come to this part of town. Tarts is situated in the almost North Perth end of Lake Street next to the Northbridge Hotel. The menu is extensive with so many choices! I did notice their breakfast menu can be ordered up to 3.00pm which I thought was useful. Today I started with the Super Smoothie, it was delicious but a little steep on the price for a fairly small serving. It was a difficult choice for lunch as there was such a great selection — I chose the Roasted Tower which was a great combination of stacked vegetables served with hummus and a side salad! Everyone else’s meals looked amazing and I will definitely be heading back some time soon to try the other menu items! As a side note on the way in there is a delightful case of deserts and sweets for all tastes(you seriously can’t miss it), I purposely ordered salad today so I could fit in cake! Cake and coffee was also great there was lots of dairy and gluten free choices on offer as well which is always a bonus for me and today I chose the roasted apricot, coconut and quinoa cake — it was delicious but I must admit I did suffer a bit of food envy when my friends apple pie was bought to the table! Definitely worth a visit for that lazy weekend breakfast or lunch!

I’ve visited Tarts quite a few times and hadn’t intended on going today but when I was told the Sayer’s Sister kitchen was closed(at 2.30pm) and was ravenous for more than a piece of cake, I took my disappointed self to Tarts for a late brunch(more like a ‘lunner’ it was that late). I’ve had an obsession with potato cakes since I had a life changing order from Blend Café in Melville, so when I saw the ‘Potato Head’ on the menu, I HADTO have it! ‘Potato Head’: two poached eggs, wilted spinach, mushrooms, asparagus, potato cake and hollandaise sauce. The ‘Potato Head’ did not disappoint. The potato cake was thin, crispy and well seasoned, the mushrooms were buttery and the eggs were near perfect. The dish was rich and filling and really hit the spot. On a scale of 0 to Blend’s Potato Cake, I’d rate it a 9. If I were to order it again, I’d add cooked tomato to my order. I don’t think it necessarily needs it, but it would be a nice addition. Potato cake under a layer of mushrooms What makes Blend’s potato cake better? It’s similar to Tarts’ minus the spinach, but with the addition of avocado and homemade baked beans. The potato cake is also thicker than Tart’s. I often order it with a side of bacon(because everything is better with bacon!) ‘Potato Head’, Tarts Would I return? Yes! I like Tarts — I think it’s a great little café and the gift shop is a fun distraction.

This place has impeccable coffee! I cannot get enough of it! Constantly consistent which is a MUST especially when I spend $ 4.50 to get my daily(or twice daily) caffeine hit! I hate paying for a burnt coffee! — the staff are always friendly, welcoming and make the trips worth the travel, as is the food/s. 17breakfasts AND serves breaky till 2pm on weekends :) Tarts has been going for several years but I can say that in the owners that are there now, they have spruced it up and given back some love, appetizing meals and friendliness to the streets of Northbridge!

I went here for brunch! Food and service was fantastic. Coffee was really good too. This place also sells home décor, cosmetics, jewellery, kids clothing. The venue has a warm inviting feel, however the furniture wasn’t too comfy. Am going back again for a Brazilian degustation this week.

I’ve hit breakfast here a couple of times now and can say I’m a fan. Right in the central hub, Tarts is located off the main drag in a secluded part of the old Perth. It’s relaxing, laid back with that cosmo flavour attacting people from all walks. I’ve only done breakfast but did spoil myself wth a custard tart they had at the counter as a treat and can say it was well worth the extra calories. See you again soon.

Tarts is an ok local with good coffee, but I have a major issue with the metal furniture here. It’s so uncomfortable and«pokey». I always bang my knees on the tables when trying to sit down or move. It’s just badly designed and very awkward. I’m also not a fan of the coffee/makeup/jewellery/cards/baby clothes all in one shop. Stick to one thing! Get some new furniture and lose the gift shop side of things and this place would be some competition for Sisters down the road.

Went back in time this morning for a breakfast meeting at Tarts. I am not sure why but Tarts having been around for such a long time personally holds somewhat of «musty» persona being on the constant look out for new places to try and not wanting to go backwards. Living locally in Northbridge Tarts is a mere 2 minutes walk away and after today will definitley be back again. We both had the bircher muesli(cant seem to have hot breakfasts on weekdays) presented in mason jars and a reasonable serving size stacked with nuts and berry compote. The coffee was a good temperature and strong enough to kick off the morning buzz. The setting is perfect for meetings; open space, number of seating arrangements and the music isnt too loud. You can tell there is still a strong following here with the«usuals» coming in for a chat and morning coffee pickup which always great to see. Peering over at the hot breakfasts on our neighbours table very excited to return.

Tarts is a cute lttle café with hidden nooks and a lovely courtyard out the back. Their brunch menu reads very well even if their prices don’t. I arrived here on a very busy Sunday so I allowed for a certain element of chaos. I ordered poached eggs on toast with a side of smoked salmon and a skinny chai latte. Ufortunately the coffee wasn’t great and was more milk than anything else. The poached eggs were under the guise of scrambled eggs but I had waited too long for the food that I wasn’t going to send it back in a hurry. The poor guy serving us our food was shaking like crazy, either it was his first day or he hit the sauce the night before and was struggling, either way he was a bit overly delicate and I got the sense that a baloon pop would have sent him shuddering and screaming.

What do Sayers, Little Willy’s, The Dancing Goat, Hobart Deli and Deli Chicchi all have in common? Each of their inventors had beginnings right here at Tarts. Tarts has become somewhat of a write of passage for aspiring café owners and a stepping stone to barista superstardom. It’s been around for a while and they still manage to produce some fairly satisfying breakfasts and lunches. True to the name, Tarts also presents a fine array of delectable sweets. The house, come café space is dotted with random items of jewellery and clothing for sale. It’s a little cluttered and can feel a bit like you’re sitting inside a giftware shop. Put simply, Tarts can be considered as the café I used to frequent before the aforementioned cafes stepped on to the scene. Good but average by comparison. Maybe they should work on employee retention strategies?
