Friendly Service, Delicious Kebabs and the freshest crunchiest chips ever. So YUM. The display of salad’s and sauces for the kebabs is seriously so pretty. I don’t think I’ve ever said that about a kebab shop before, go there and you will get what I mean! They also sell baklava, turkish bread, drinks and all the usual kebab shop offerings.

This place is close to home, clean, tasty, and the staff are pretty nice. I do think that the food from Ankara, a little further down Beaufort from me, is better but you cant beat being able to walk. Also there is rarely a line here and with Ankara being next door to the Inglewood a line is pretty much inevitable. I do not love lines so that is a big + to Medya.

I feel sorry for poor Medya. It’s out in the street a bit hidden while Ankara is getting all the attention and glory on the main strip. Both are decent kebabs — but I must admit I found the meat better from Medya. Ankara have a slightly friendlier staff but when it came down to the your standard chicken kebab taste test Medya won me over.

Kebab shops around Perth are a dime a dozen but a lot of them look so filthy you wouldn’t want to dine there for fear of catching something — even when you’ve got the desperate munchies. Medya is different. It’s way cleaner than most kebab shops, with pleasant staff and a broad menu. There are the ubiquitous shish kebabs and doner kebabs available, of course, but also vegetarian options and an array of spicy, fresh dips like their very tangy Baba Ganoush, and quite possibly the best Hummous I’ve tried along all of Beaufort Street. Great that it’s open seven days a week, too.
