20÷1÷2012 Photos Didn’t really make me go boom boom. 3 stars in my book. This was the perfect way to start my Friday morning; sipping on a $ 3 café latte, and enjoying the view of what other customers are consuming. It had quite a few positives: –very relaxed and with no music(pretty quiet apart from the conversation between a young couple sitting at the next table), –warmer than usual temperature(might just be the outside air getting in?) –quick waitresses and baristas(I didn’t have to wait long for my coffee, and a couple of them were easy on the eye) –an appropriate selection of drinks, breakfasts and lunches on an easy-to-read small-sized menu My half an hour here flew by — my latte was made hot, so it took some cooling down time for me to finish it off. I got what I need, but I didn’t feel like staying any longer after my coffee. On to the next!

Pepper’s Espresso Bar is amongst four small cafes which sit in a cluster in the middle of Regent Arcade in Rundle Mall. It is easy to walk by it in favour of the more popular chains that Rundle offers but I discovered it a few days ago and found it so cute and quaint that I just had to go in. The décor is really sweet and the tables are very country-like. They only come in tables of two but it creates a more personal atmosphere and therefore doesn’t crowd the already small area. The coffee I ordered was so cheap($ 3.00), a price you would find hard to beat around the area. The coffee was made the way a flat white should be and came in a large cup which was impressive for its cheap price. Although we didn’t order food, I saw two salads come to the table next to us and they looked really delicious and were a very reasonable portion. There is also a selection of yummy looking cakes, biscuits and little fruit mince pies just in time for the Christmas and holiday season!

My friend took me to Pepper’s today, hidden in Regent Arcade down Rundle Mall, and I was quite surprised as to how impressed I was with this little café. Not only is it away from the hustle and bustle of the mall, it is a nice little shop filled with nice pictures to look at. Also, there’s the whole $ 3 for a cup of coffee, which is hard to find these days. Not only were they $ 3, the cups were actually a decent size. It took the staff a little while to get our coffees to us, but they were worth the wait. Definitely one of the better cups of coffee I have had in my time! We looked through their breakfast menu, and it seemed pretty decent also. The smell of the kitchen was definitely inviting.
