Fantastic coffee. They have never failed to produce a good brew. Relaxed, easy environment facilitated by the calm demeanor of Jeremy & co. Absolutely freaking incredible toasties which are large, delicious and a steal at six bucks. Enjoy.

I am starting to feel I’m missing some magical moments when it comes to Larry & Ladd. I really want to love the store… they offer amazing milk alternatives, not only soy & coconut, but almond… which they make fresh themselves… EVERYDAMNDAY! Now that deserves kudos. I also love the fact that they are in Regent Arcade, which is jam packed with gems these days, and is still somewhat of a hidden, secret squirrel spot. But besides all these fabulous elements, I’m just not feeling it. I find the coffee blend used is quite bitter and haven’t found the service to always be with a smile. Additionally, the music is quite loud, so sitting inside the store and trying to talk with friends is a bit of a challenge. All in all, I wouldn’t avoid L&L completely, but if alternatives are offered I personally would probably give them a go.

This has to be one of the coolest places in Adelaide to get you daily coffee fix. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. One of the nice touches is when you choose to take a seat they let you drink your coffee and fix up the bill when you are finished. The temperature of the coffee is always perfect. Funky music playing and a nice relaxing vibe.

Great coffee, great service with a smile and also open in the weekends. A lovely spot to relax, one of the best coffee spots in the CBD. It is away from the main shoppers and workers spots, so the feel of a local in the heart of Regent Arcade. Do not try the salted caramel chocolate and nuts cookie, it is toooooo addictive!

Leading the Regent Arcade revolution. Top pastries, fantastic banter, and the best coffee in the 618. Larry & Ladd is the one.

Oh, Adelaide you’ve done it again! The Regent Arcade is getting a facelift thanks to Renew Adelaide, and this place fits right in with the other cool places here. I didn’t realise that this was co-owned by Josh from Coffee Branch … that doesn’t surprise me, as that man really knows good coffee ;) The first time I came here, I ordered a soy latte(yes, of course they use Bonsoy!), and since then I have also been ordering the ‘great test’ … the long black. Let me tell you, they know how to make a damn fine long black — and they even double-cup, which all long black drinkers I know really appreciate! Larry & Ladd have excellent service, friendly staff and great coffee — what more could you ask for???

Absolute bliss to be able to sit and coffee date myself alone, in an environment where the caffeine is good, the food always hits the spot the staff are great. Fit out is simple and classy enough to tidy me up a bit when I come in «I’m not at work I want to be comfortable» mode. Fun mix in style with both the wide range of people that come in, and the music the«Ladds» supply.(Don’t mind me singing into my coffee cup). Thanks and praise.

Best coffee I’ve encountered so far, especially given that I have newly become a barista. Coffee hygiene is great, food is yum. The wait there can seem very long, which is something to be improved on though. Great atmosphere, I’m slowly introducing this little place to all my friends. I wish the best on these guys.

Brilliant Coffee and GREAT service! I love this place :) I love the atmosphere and I LOVE the coffee :) Also, they had no less than THREE different non dairy options for their coffee(Soy, Almond and Coconut Milk) The only reason for not giving this place full marks is that all of the seating is on stools — which means that I cant take my Dad there — he has trouble with his back and therefore would not be able to sit on a stool for any length of time — I understand that stools take up a lot less space and therefore they can fit more people in — but even just one table with proper chairs would be great. But please do go and check this place out — I will certainly be returning :) Mum’s Corner:(where I write about my experience as a Mum in this store) Pram Access — Yes Breastfeeding Friendly — Yes — although a little uncomfortable on the stools — no one even batted an eyelid at my breast feeding my daughter :) Parents Room — No — but it is not that kind of coffee shop — they dont have a toilet at all — but there are plenty available in other shopping areas within walking distance Will this Mum be returning — YES!

After an afternoon of solo shopping, I started feeling a bit peckish on my walk back to the car through the beautiful Regent Arcade. But then, I saw a little café tucked away — Larry & Ladd. They looked quite funky, and as a bit of a foodie, I just had to check out what they were offering. Perfect place for a small snack and a coffee — don’t go there if you are STARVING, as you would need a few sliders to fill you up. They had a range of small sliders called ‘Larry’s Snacks’ and a few sweet options also. I ordered a coffee and one of Larry’s Snacks — number 1: potato tortilla with sheep’s milk, cheese, butter & lettuce. I found myself a comfy spot and began to flick through the paper that was provided on my bench. This place oozes funky, groovy vibes and was fairly quiet(on a weekday afternoon) so might be a good place if you want to get some work done and have a bite to eat at the same time. My food came out promptly and was presented beautifully. The taste wasn’t as amazing as I was expecting — perhaps a little bland — but still it was pleasant. Coffee was top notch, I’d say a 4 out of 5!

Few places where you’ll find coffee that blows my mind, this is one of those places that will. Awesome coffee and smashing light food using local ingredients. The relaxed environment with friendly baristas and a underground hip hop backing will keep you coming back for more awesome coffee and food.

When I heard 2 of my favourite coffee shops in Adelaide were partnering up I nearly passed out with excitement. I began to build up in my head what such a place would be like — envisioning some kind of aurora borealis supernova of coffee amazingness. The coffee is 5 Senses and is served quickly, spot on and with latte art style(if that’s your drink). It does what all 5 Senses coffee supplied shops do — deliver you a smashing good coffee every time. But being the demanding, picky Adelaidian I was raised to be I wanted more… I wish I could rock up to the counter and there would be Larry, and I’d say«Lazzzzaaaa give us your best cup o’ joe for the day mate!» I would be surprsied by some new random coffee bean or roaster from San Fran I’d never heard of, or I could get my latte with a dash of whiskey or as part of a tasting plate or paired with a chocolate or tortel of the day. It is entirely my fault that this café hasn’t lived up to my expectations and that I had such high hopes in the beginning. Please don’t let that stop you dropping in here for a coffee, nibble or laptop coffice(coffee-office) session though. It has a great little atmosphere with a stack of hipster magazines that I would never read and consistently good coffee.

To the Lazz and the Ladd. Today, I walked into your premises and from the first moment I. Totally. Liked. It. The cool feel, the wooden features, the communal tables, the array of magazines-or-books, and especially the overly attentive barista who very positively couldn’t let me take a seat before ordering from his well memorised presentation of small treats and coffee(which was good because I was ready to party in that coffee cup!). Highlight this — La-la-la-la-liked it! The coffee was classic greatness from the café ‘marriage’ of the Coffee Branch and Bar 9(both personal favourites). Creamy, just that right amount of bitter that I love, a good roast, smooth texture — it went down a treat. The nibbles I got — pardon the terrible sales pitch I’m about to sell you — the custard/pastry/chocolate croissant-type thing — was super tasty. It was a lovely early morning treat to say the least. Three things that didn’t quite help tick all the boxes, sadly. Firstly, with this puppy being the blended creation of two amazing café’ masterminds, I’m a little confused of what Larry & Ladd is to be? Perhaps its creation is to be in-order-out. Perhaps its to be for elect coffee shots. I was expecting a serious… explosion… KAPOW! That whole ‘knock your socks off” experience. Sensational coffee, or sensational eats, or sensational feels? Maybe I read too much into the review before the opening and tainted my expectations… Secondly, the groovy music. Its groovy. And its music. And i really liked the range of feels it gave, it was a nice mix! A lover of eclectic tunes I am! However at one point there was only two of us in the place, it would be polite to say the music was a little overpowering to try and talk to each other(myself and super lovely boss of Unilocal!Adelaide, Chloe). Perhaps it was location of sitting in the close proximity of the speaker, and perhaps I should’ve asked for it to be a smidge quieter — except, well, I don’t think the consumer should be the adjuster of the atmospheric tunes. Perhaps. Perhaps… The thing that probably was the most surprising — and maybe it was because there was another bubbly staff member around at this point — was that the overly friendly and attentive barista from my walking in, didn’t seem to be so connected with our experience when we were walking out. Maybe he was distracted. Maybe i’m being overly critical. I’m such a lover of a café with staff that loves consumers arriving, and their experience, and their enjoyment of their time, and the whole shebang package of your time in the presence of that place that leaving feels less like you partook of a seat at a table but actually you became part of the experience of being there. I know I’ve been spoilt in other fabulous places, but I think coffee made with love is much greater than coffee just made. Is that just me? I’ll certainly swing past and visit again, Lazza and Laddo… thanks for the treat today!

I visited Larry & Ladd for lunch. They have a small selection of sliders and sweet treats, and coffees with a few alternative milks. I tried the potato tortilla which was nicely cooked and we’ll seasoned. It was oddly served on a single piece of toast spread with some sort of cream cheese, but still tasted nice. They don’t have eftpos, and the food options are a little limited(and seem a bit weird) but the atmosphere is good — try a coffee and pastry and bring cash.

There’s a new Ladd in town. Larry & Ladd have opened their doors just off Rundle Mall. Of course specialising in coffee and light eats. I stopped past for a coffee and yes that was quite good, oddly sweet so not sure if it got sugar by mistake. The food is mostly ‘snack sized’ slider rolls with a combination of meats, fish of vege fillings. You can easily get a coffee and a slider for around the $ 10 mark.
