Fresh Beef Noodle Soup is simplicity at its best. They do three meals… Beef Phở, Chicken Curry and Special Vietnamese broken rice… all for around $ 8.50. They also do a serve of spring rolls for $ 2.60. This is the style of eatery I love… they do a couple of things excellently and simply for a bargain price. The shop is so inconspicuous on the tiny California St North it’s easy to miss but Phở fans this is a definite MUST for you. They do small/medium and large bowls of the Vitnamese standard for $ 7.50/$ 8.50/$ 9.50…(the small is huge). The broth is light, with just the right richness. The rice noodles are fresh and the thin slices of beef are really lean which is how I like it! You are given fresh chilli, beansprouts and lemon to mix into your meal and on the tables you will find fermented chilli sauce and hoisin, as well as salt and pepper. Definately one of the best Phở’s going around!

A restaurant with the same name as its product. Genius. Fresh Beef Noodle Soup has long been my place of choice for Phở, and in my opinion it remains one of the best in Adelaide. It’s cheap, it’s quick, it’s delicious. The food takes only minutes to arrive at your table, and you can immediately begin mixing in your sauces and bean sprouts. The soup alone is sensational, and the sliced beef in the noodles is incredibly tasty. Aside from the beef noodle soup, Fresh also makes a pretty impressive chicken curry which is worth trying. A word of advice: the regular size bowl and the large bowl are almost the same thing, so there’s not muct point in upsizing unless you want more soup.
