The Logo reads«Modern & Healthy» We found this to be true. The food cabinets had a great variety of fresh delicious food options. The coffee did not disappoint, smooth and very well made, not at all leaving a bitter after taste. This Café is opposite the busy bus stop on Grenfell Street, at the Coles outlet. Inside it is well laid out, slate grey tile floor, with comfortable bench seats along one side, with good comfortable black chairs, and marble tables, smart and modern. The coffee machine is a winner, expensive but delivers. Great coffee snack break while near the bus

Sadly Colin and his(or her) company aren’t offering anything that many many places in Adelaide are not already doing better. I was pretty underwhelmed when dining here. The WiFi was better speed than you’ll get at McDonalds, but that’s the only good thing I can say for it. The food is typically over priced sandwiches and muesli that you’ll find in any chain café. Nothing constructive to write there. I have to agree with another reviewer, the staff were slow, uninterested and didn’t really seem like they wanted to be there. The coffee was decent, but a short walk in any direction will take you to a better café for both food and coffee. It deserves 2 stars because the experience wasn’t terrible.

I have to say the lacklustre crew here let the place down, service was slow and the coffee incredibly slow, with the barista making only a single coffee at a time, so if you ordered two one would be warm and the other half cold! The choice of food was limited and mostly involved what could be reheated easily;!and this may sound odd — but it was disturbing to see them selling old fashion brand mugs(not take away cups) and for $ 10 which did not even appear to include a coffee!

Brunch on a Saturday around 11am, so it was not that busy(I can see tables of people finishing off their meals). The service was friendly enough but sssslow! Took them a long time to clear the table, then waited for orders to be taken and then at least another 25minutes before food arrived, and they forgot to put one order through! Coffee was average. I don’t appreciate the display of very unhealthy kid’s bickies and chocolates within plain eyesight(in fact it was eye level for a child!) in two locations in there. AND no kids menu. The food was tasty but with so many other choices in the area and Unley, I won’t be back.

Having walked past here about a million times I thought it was time to finally see why they were always busy with people in their business suits. On first glance at the décor and the food it seems like a pretty nice establishment, running with the upper-market but health-conscious crowd. The fact that they have«of-the-day» items seems to imply great freshness, but having tried their pie of the day(cajun chicken) I found it to be bland, only tasting of chicken and the pastry chewy and freshly-microwaved-tasting. The coffee was decent for adelaide-corner-coffee-shop coffee but could be improved upon. The service was pretty good from the two staff working at the time who seemed to know the food well enough to advise my sometimes picky mum on what to eat. Overall there are better places to go for coffee and food in the city at the moment.

Well can’t do much of a review here yet. I was off to a meeting and NEEDED a coffee. I was walking past and thought I’d give them a go, rather than some of the other usual options. I’m glad I did. GOOD coffee is all I can say.(I had a large flat white) I’m going to have to actually eat here as well.

Colin & Co Café obviously tries to be something. It echoes Coffee Branch and Please Say Please more than it does Cibo or Caffe Buongiorno. This is a good thing. It means the décor is stylish and interesting. The food features such ‘in’ ingredients as kale and granola and maple syrup. It wouldn’t surprise me if the juices and water are served in repurposed preserving jars.(Ergh, this aesthetic is starting to grind my gears. What’s wrong with a freakin’ glass?) But Coles-brand soy milk and a soycharge? No. Just no. I think this morning’s visit will mark a new step in my career as founding member and president of the Say No To The Soycharge Association. I propose this: Charge for soy milk; use the decent stuff. Coles-brand soy milk, according to a quick google search, costs $ 1.20L. A barista will get at least 8 coffees from that. That works out to be $ 0.15 of soy milk per coffee on top of the price of a coffee that includes dairy milk in its price already. See the problem here? /rant p. s. The coffee I had, made with Coles’ finest, wasn’t the worst I have ingested. p. p. s. Unfortunately, though, it didn’t fit the expectations I had set based on Colin & Co’s evidently millimeter deep veneer. I asked the barista, a Bonsoy drinker herself, to have a chat to the boss about their soy milk choice. She advised they chose Coles-brand because it is cheap. I disagree with her boss’ justification — it’s because it is damn profitable to charge $ 0.50 for the cheap stuff; they make $ 2.80L… Bring in the soy drinkers, they ought to praise, for they are a sound investment. Actually now, /rant

Popping in here on a blustery Saturday afternoon for a warm up and a feed I was quietly delighted with Colin & Co. Serving up a mean hot chocolate(the right kind of mean, I assure you) and a moist chicken bagguette, I was in quick foodie heaven. With a location on Grenfell just a little off the beaten track, my subsequent visits have seen it to be chilled and relaxed with a low murmur throughout the store. Staff are friendly and helpful, and not afraid to make recommendations, which as an indecisive eater, I quite like. A nice little casual spot to lunch.

I popped in for a coffee the other night while on my way home. I really enjoyed my coffee and I was able to drink it from the first sip, I didn’t have to wait for it to cool down or to get over that first initial bitter taste you get sometimes with coffee. I’ll be going back for sure. p.s They use eco take away cups and that’s good in my book

For all the barista seemed to boast about his love of coffee with what seemed a friend, the coffee was horrible. Watery, thin and tasteless. Took far too long for how little service there was. Sandwich quite nice. Two waitess seemed bored and unoccupied but were very lovely and quick to jump to any jobs or service.
