Greg always has excellent taste. I’ve been going to him for music since I was at uni! I bought my most formative music from him, in fact can remember buying Psychocandy by the Jesus and Mary Chain in 1987! He has a perfectly curated selection of music on offer, at great prices

I struggle to think of a better independent music retailer in Adelaide than Rev Music.
It’s not Sanity, JB Hifi or Big Star, so they don’t have every disc on the market on their shelves, but the guy running the place has great taste. Peer through his stock and you’ll find some real gems. I’m talking special editions, live recordings and rare first releases of famous bands (for when you get so obsessed with a group that you hunt down every single thing they’ve done. I’ve been there). Likewise their DVD selection presents a great slew of awesome concerts from some epic and enduring bands.
If you’re looking for something in particular, Rev’s probably not the first place you’d come to seek it out, though they do order stuff in if you ask nicely. It’s more the place for a casual browse for some cheap, quirky discoveries.

Rev Music is very well hidden, and it took me a wander around the city to find it randomly, but it was definitely worth it. On the first rack alone there were a number of cheap CDs that I was interested in buying. Though they had a great range of stock available, and seemed to cater for people with an old-​school taste in music, some of these CDs are the same price as what you would pay at a store such as JB Hi-​Fi. Therefore, if you come across it then it’s worth a look, but I wouldn’t recommend that it was the type of store you had to seek out.
