20/20 Vision Optometry

From what I’ve heard, the service here used to be really bad a few years back because ²⁰⁄₂₀ was the biggest optometry office in the area, and so they didn’t care too much about customer service. But recently, because of the bad reputation, they changed up staff and their attitude towards customers. I’ve only started going here recently (since about 2015) and they’ve all been really friendly to me.
I made an appointment beforehand and only had to wait about 15 minutes. The lady at the front was also super nice. They have a crazy selection of frames and contacts. I’ve bought frames, glasses, and contacts from them and never had a problem.

Service improved for me in 2016 thus far. — I needed specialty lenses last year. Dr. Chiana was great but the wait was WAY too long for an «appointment». — So far this year, the timeliness was greatly improved. They worked to get my insurance to pay for my specialty lenses. — I didn’t know about the TV give-​away. Congrats to the guy who won!

I went here to get my eyes examined and it took weeks after to get my prescribed contact lens sample, on top of that, when I tried the contact sample on, I couldn’t even see. Every time I come here, they force me to sit in front of all the designer glasses in order to tempt me to buy new designer glasses when I already had one from them! They are greedy and are always up for selling and grabbing money from you! Don’t expect sincere help from them! I went to get my eyes examined again and the prescribed lens was certified as incorrect, and even so, I still don’t think they did a correct reading at all! The two person (optometrists) who checked my eyes were Kim Anh and Betty!

My second time back here and still shitty service. First time they were nice because I was purchasing. Spent over 300 because supposedly my insurance doesnt cover exams. Also i couldnt even purchase any frames with my insurance because their company doesnt cover it which is bull. Came to pick up and basically handed me my glasses and walked off. Anyways my second time back here. Please be seated cause pissed off session is about to begin
Since my first experience was a shithole, I decided to order online.
1. They are cheaper. I used to work at an optometry office so I know the whole dealeo.
2. Because the shit service
Anyways, when I called for my prescription, they lagged it. I called again and they asked why I don’t I order it from them. I tell them because I’m broke and I can find a better deal. Any whoo these baboons gave the wrong prescription to my provider. Like are you mother fucking serious? Next thing you know I asked them again and they told the company I was ordering from, that I wasn’t a patient at their office. I was even more pissed. I called and they said I have to get my eye exam again which was strange because my last exam was in September. They wanted to charge me me and I asked why. I know we’re supposed to get them every year. Mine was barely even half a year through. They wanted to to charge me 70 dollars. Fawk that. I told them what’s up on how I know my shit. They then said if I come in, I can get it for 20 dollars. I wasn’t planning to but they didn’t want to give me my prescription or email it to me since they said it’ll take a while. I decided to come in which I did. The girl at the counter was pmsing or whatevers didn’t even want to give it to me. She said I can get it after my prescription. I told her I didn’t want an exam and that I just want my prescription. Her ass told me she was busy atm and couldn’t do it. What kind of fucking customer service is that? It only takes 5 minutes or less to pull up my profile. Click print and bam! Easier than making hot pockets. I end up getting my prescription which came out to the correct precription from before. I lost 20 dollars. I didn’t care at that time cause I was pissed the fawk off. I wanted to go ape shit on them but I didn’t had time because I was already late to work.
Stay away from this place. There are reasons why they’re low on ratings. Even the optometrist rushed to get my ass out when I was calm with her and already pissed. All they want is your money. They don’t give a horse ass about their patients. STAY AWAY. WORST PLACE EVER. THEY’RE SHADY, MANIPULATIVE, AND SCANDALOUS. The list goes on. Idk why they’re even in business. Oh wait cause they rob people. I even recently found out my friend goes to them. She order 3 pairs of contacts for 60 dollars. I told her to order online but she said she couldn’t cause they wouldn’t give her the prescription. Worst. They made her order from them. She said she kept asking and they rejected her request. She needed them asap so she just got sick and tired of fighting and order her contacts from them. I wouldn’t even give u guys one star. I hope your place gets shut down and go out of business. I never ever wished this upond any businesses so this is my first! And I know customer service btw. Been working in that field since I was 16. Your shit is beyond cow’s waste level. Im reporting you guys to the board of optometry. Pretty sure I won’t be the first!

We were just having lunch close to this store but we got curious after we saw the SALE sign. Not only did we find the exact frame we were looking for but we got the best surprise of our day, Winning the first prize of their anniversary raffle which is the 40 inch samsung LED TV! How awesome is that! Thank you so much!

im not the type to write reviews unless the item or service is horrible. i was kinda shocked w/​lots of bad reviews here bcuz i thot it was only me. too bad i didnt checked Unilocal!1^st. i’ll just get to the point. staff was ok. they didnt have any selection worth while. they had to order the glasses that i provided the model # for them. after 2 weeks, the finish product of my eye glass prescripts was unacceptable. i paid extra $$ for thinner & extra features, but yet their eye guy shaved the lens so much to fit in the frame that it looked like «coke bottles.» their excuse was that their machine was acting up for a week now. if they know that then they should be extra careful w/​their final product. how could they try to pass it on to me, a consumer. how many customers got screwed over from this? i complain & they said they would do a redo which will take another 2 weeks to reorder them then refit again. the 2^nd fitting, the glasses was kinda acceptable (still shaved in too much at certain areas), but now it had a purple ring around both lens which looks very, very tacky. i complain & was frustrated. the owner comes out tried to bs me saying that its because its anti-​glare feature i wanted. i said to her that 1^st fitting didnt had that so i asked why now. i told her, her eye guy is not good. she says he has lots of experience & was trained in Germany. i asked her if he was so good why did he messed up the 1^st time & passed it off to a customer an unacceptable final product. she didnt say anything after that. bottomline, they refunded my $$ minus my copay. THEIR EYE GUY DOES SHODDY WORK!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!! YOU BEEN WARNED!!!
* found out they sold me $ 150 for a feature to make the glasses thinner when its already covered by my insurance. shady bastards!!!

Came in for an eyes exam at 4:45pm with Dr. To. I would say it was a very awkwardly experience. there wasn’t any communication towards patient. Maybe she had a bad day or was too tired from talking to patients all day until she got me in?
Nhi was very sweet. she helped me picking out a frame and gave me an honest opinion. They got a huge range from high end eyeglasses and sunglasses. Its hard for me to find a perfect frame because of my face structure. so, an expensive frame that fits me perfectly is no biggie. The only thing that keeps me stay from this place was this lady with short black here (don’t know her name) we had a really weird conservation about frame and placing an order = money. I’m sure she knew who I am. Long story short, just stay away from this place. Horrible place to go… NHI is the person you should ask for IF YOU HAVE TO GO HERE. Otherwise STAY AWAY.

This optometry provides poor service and were trying to dig money out of my parents without trying to assist what our needs were. The staffs were snooby and made me feel like i was at a car dealer shop instead. My mom got trick into buying a glasses and one of the doctor gave my mom eye drops without providing her sunglasses to shield herself from the brightness of the eye drops. When the head doctor asked whether my mom had eye drops or not, the doctor who was responsibile for providing the eye drop immediately blamed my mom for not reminding her the sunglasses. Like it’s my mom’s responsibility to remind the doctor when it’s the doctor’s duty to assist my mom’s care.

This place is horrible. We had an appointment at 10:15 and 10:45 before the freak’n Doctor arrived. And then we still had to wait for another 15 minutes.

I came in here twice to look for replacement frames. This lady named Anhi or something came over to help pop out my lens. She threw my glasses on the counter after she popped one out. I looked at my friend like. bitch wtf? She picked up my glasses and wiped the lens on her coat as if she knew she had scratched them by carelessly throwing it down. I decided against the frames I was looking at because she wasnt much help.
The second time I came here, I was looking for a pair of RayBan. I didn’t find it but after spending a month looking for the «right» ones, I just wanted to get whatever. I picked a pair and popped the lens out myself this time. Anhi came back after leaving to be on the phone to tell me «next time I’ll do it. We don’t want you to break the frames.» Oh but your reckless bitchass breaking my lens is okay. Anyway, after the technician replaced my lens into the frames I had chosen, I heard him say to anhi that the lens don’t fit perfectly. I was standing right next to them so I heard him whisper but she nodded and chose not to tell me. So I reexamined them and saw that the lens were sticking out a little and told her I’m not in love with the frames so I don’t think ill get it. But I was still holding it and looking at it until that bitch anhi snatched them out of my hands.
Go somewhere else. The other reviews are keeping it 100 with y’all. Staff rude af and snobby too.

This place is the WORST optometrist I’ve been to and I see I’m not the only one who thinks so.
First of all, for having all the staff that they do, about 90% of the girls that work there are very rude. There have been instances where I’ve asked questions, called them, etc. and have gotten rude responses from their employees. There was an instance where I called the office and they transferred me at least 10 times and no one could give me the answer I was looking for, which was literally just when I would be able to pick up my contacts. I was on the phone for at least half an hour to find out when my contacts would be ready for pick up.
Second, and this is the biggest factor why I would NEVER go back to this office, is because when the optometrist (don’t remember her name) was measuring out my prescription and gave me my «trial» contacts, I told her that my vision was blurry still and I wasn’t sure if the prescription was right. She said it’s normal when I get new contacts and that it wasn’t a big deal — she also told me that she had SLIGHTLY lowered my prescription on my contacts because my «eyes would adjust and then my prescription would lower because they were used to the lower contact prescription.» Of course, I didn’t know better and wore the contacts for the year that I was supposed to.
It wasn’t until my last bad experience that me and my entire family decided to switch optometrists that I found out that wasn’t the case. My new optometrist said the «lower prescription» would have done NOTHING to help my prescription and in fact, made my prescription worse because my eyes were straining to see. Keep in mind that my prescription hadn’t changed in YEARS, or if so, it changed minimally. When I updated my prescription, both of my eyes went up a whole degree because of the wrong prescription I was given from ²⁰⁄₂₀ Optometry. She told me it’s common that doctors don’t want to go back in and measure prescriptions because it’s more time and money on their part.
Would not recommend this place for anyone, even if you were desperate. Carelessness and bad customer service is not worth it.

I have been a customer here for a few years but this will be my last visit here. Here are my reasons. Integrity issue. For example they advertise 40% of all frames, but in fact they deduct 20% then another 20%. Which is not the same as 40%. Customer service: dr. To (I think she is the owner?) always seems like she is having a bad day. Never a smile on her face and today when I asked her to explain my prescription to me, she said she will have the lady at front seat explain to me. I am paying for an optometrist, I some want a sales person to explain my prescriptions, especially mine is not really simple. I will not return here again. The reason I give it 1 star is I can’t give them 0 star and because they have a decent selections of frames but their prices are marked up significantly.

I went to ²⁰⁄₂₀ on ⁷⁄₂₄ based on a coworkers recommendation and after many years of no vision care. The entire staff was extremely helpful, very professional and incredibly sweet to me. They made sure that I received all services requested and the cost was minimal compared to a few other offices I researched. Dr. To was very patient with me and clearly explained the condition of my vision. I got a contact lens exam, a regular eye exam, designer frames, upgraded lenses and contacts all for under $ 350. My frames were quoted at being ready 10 days from my initial visit but ²⁰⁄₂₀ had them ready in 5 days. They have great deals and I will most certainly be keeping them as my primary optometrist.

Nice staff. Was very friendly and helpful when I called them on the phone. Optometrist was helpful when it came to examining my poor eye sight.

Okay, so Unilocal removed my initial review of ²⁰⁄₂₀ Vision because «it relies on or contains secondhand information». I am trying again to warn others if they decide to do business here.
I took a family member to ²⁰⁄₂₀ Vision after she heard their radio commercial. I was there and witnessed firsthand the inept care they gave her. She came for simple reading glasses and was ready to pay the $ 1000 bill had I not stopped her. Over $ 1000 for simple reading glasses!
The sweet-​talking Vietnamese saleswoman was very nice, pretty, and so easy to trust, so my aunt did just that. You would not think your eye care professional will rip you off, right? They’re there to help you with your vision? OMG, what a nightmare.
Polarized lens, polycarbonate lens, transitional lens to protect her eyes from the sun and anti-​glare were all added to lens. When I objected, the saleswoman said she was only giving my aunt what she asked. Are you serious, I said? You know she doesn’t need all this. You’re taking advantage of an old woman, because she trusts you. Anti-​glare? The frames alone were $ 400!
They take advantage of the unsuspecting, the ones who easily trust. They will smile while scamming you. Don’t be fooled by the statue to the Virgin Mary in their lobby, because they are true Christians.
Long story short, I got her cheaper frames ($ 100) and took out almost all the special lens treatments. The bill was still high.
It took over 2 months for the glasses to come in and when it did, they tried to switch frames without mentioning it. After we spoke up, we got the frame we ordered.
Be on guard when you do business here. They will try their best to take your money.

It’s a pretty Asian place, which I don’t mind. The woman who helped me, though, assumed I knew Vietnamese, which I did not, but my dad was with me, so it was okay. They were nice and helpful, but it took a while for them to understand I was looking for a pair of Ray Ban Club Master Optics, whereas my dad got a pair of transitional Tom Fords.
Throughout the visit, I felt we were being passed around, so I was pretty confused the whole time. Took almost two, two and a half hours. It’s a busy place, and we did go on a weekend.
Anyway, we Paid for our eyeglasses, and they said it would be ready in ten days. We come back two weeks later, and they have them. Mines were right, but my dad’s wasn’t transitional, like he purchased. So he had to wait another ten days or so for them to fix it.

Good service, communication and employee wise. But because it’s still a ‘medical’ place, you will have to wait a little even though you scheduled an appointment.

I’ve been going here for over a decade and have seen this optometry place transform from a small little operation with only 1 doctor to a huge optometry office with now 3 doctors. The place is booming, especially on the weekend.
I’ve been to several other places but the prices here are lower which always had me coming back after trying a new place… until last weekend.
I arrived the office and the place was slammed! I go up to the reception desk and asked her how long would it take for walk-​ins. She said that she would have to evaluate my insurance to determine a wait time because certain doctors may take longer than others depending on the insurance I have. With that said, I ended up walking out of the ²⁰⁄₂₀ after 20 minutes of waiting for just an estimate of the wait time. Maybe next time I’ll come on a weekday or make an appointment, but the wait time here on a weekend is insane.
