Thomas did a great job taking care of our cat Captain. We were on our vacation worry free. I highly recommend him and Sitter4paws. He was very thorough doing his job and sending us emails to explain how everything was going.

I went away for two weeks and these amazing folks came to my place and fed my two cats. They were so professional and I felt so good that they were with them despite me being sooooo far away! One of my cats even dashed out of my apartment and the poor sitter got locked out and had to deal with a mess of a situation. I was in China so I was asleep when it happened and wasn’t much of a help. Luckily they were able to handle it without me. I felt terrible about it but they were so kind about it all and were very professional. I would definitely use them again… HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Our experience with Sitter4Paws was pretty fantastic from start to finish. Aleks K came over for an initial consultation, and we instantly felt comfortable knowing we’d be leaving Sully (our cat) in the care of him and his colleagues. We were out of the country for two weeks, during which we always felt in the loop and informed about Sully and her goings-​on. The daily photos really helped us feel certain she was doing well, getting fed, pet and played with. When we came home from our trip, Sully was happy and healthy and her usual self (no cold shoulder because we’d been away). Thanks, Aleks K and crew!

Garret B. & Roberto M. did an amazing job taking care of Sgt. while I was on vacation for a few weeks.
Sitter4paws went above and beyond to work around my schedule and door key «issues» ~ they were nothing but kind and understanding of my busy schedule and Type A+ personality tendencies.
The updates & photo’s really provide peace of mind when on vacation. Furthermore, the orientation process was simple and quick… yet felt completely thorough. I’m also thinking the price is pretty exceptional.
Definitely 10’s (5 stars) across the board.

I love this service. Super easy to book and pay. The first time I booked, someone came over to meet us and our pet, and make sure they knew what to do and where everything was. I highly recommend as think the price is appropriate for the services they provide. Bonus– they send you pics and messages via email when they visit your pet, so you know what’s going on!

I cannot thank Maxime, Desiree, Marlene, Thomas, and Briana enough! Sitter4Paws took great care of my two kittens and followed my insane instructions very well. I even booked last minute over the holidays and they answered promptly and were able to come every day. Loved getting the pictures and updates daily. They made the holidays and travel much less stressful.

Jenna V. was excellent with our cat. I was a little apprehensive about trying this kind of service just because we never had before. But it was excellent! They were quick to respond to my questions via email, set up a consultation and the staff member who came was friendly, professional and thorough in writing down everything. It was so nice to get a detailed email and photos of our cat to know everything was okay while we were away. Jenna V. followed our instructions exactly as we had listed them and we hope to get her again.

I had a great experience with this group. Mary C. and Tiger S. were really great with my two kitties Bella and Scout, and helped calm them down in my absence. I was nervous leaving them for the first time, but after meeting Aleks, and then receiving the updates from Mary and Tiger, I knew my girls were in good hands. It makes a big difference to know that you can trust these caring people who really do love animals and want to help them feel okay while you’re gone. Thanks Sitter4Paws!

Both Justin L. and Marlene G. treated my cat well and they made sure to follow my requests and instructions to a «t». I super appreciated the photos and the descriptions really put me at ease.
For being new to the area and new to «pet sitting», the service as a whole was very easy, the staff detailed and on point. They made me feel like they really love their jobs and mission. I felt they really understand the nature and commitment that pet parents make and they try to translate the same thing.
If you need a sitter, call on them. They will communicate, ask you questions and make sure to relay your requests back to confirm. I would highly recommend them as well as use them again!

Aleks and Jenna were great. They kept me updated whenever they arrived and walked my dog, and it was a seemless experience.
i felt everything was handled professionaly and took care to listen and take notes to any needs for my dog that were needed.

I highly recommend Sitter4Paws for pet sitting. The staff is professional, responsible, and compassionate about the care of pets. Justin L., our pet sitter, was great! He sent daily pictures and written updates of his daily visits to our home to feed our cat. I could easily reach him as well if needed. All was tidy, clean, and in order upon my return. Had sitters4paws at my house for 14 days straight while we had our wedding and then went off to Europe for our honeymoon. Photos and write ups came in like clockwork. Big thanks to Nina S. and Michelle P. for watching our kitties. Would and will definitely engage them again.

Peace of mind for our cats when we’re gone is worth its weight in gold. They are neurotic little jerks sometimes (but they are our neurotic little jerks). So, we need someone who likes cats and isn’t a dog sitter who has decided feeding cats can be an easy way to make a little extra money. Believe it or not, the cats know the difference — and we know the difference when we come home.
Sitter4Paws WLA answered that call. Finding a time for the consultation was a little tricky, but after that, everything was incredibly easy.
1. They accept payment online. Since this was our first time using them, we paid upfront.
2. They use a lock box (like real estate agents) for the keys. So, we never actually released our keys to them — they were there for us when we returned home (this is a giant plus — we once had a pet sitter who had our non-​reproductable keys for 2 weeks after we came home).
3. They come within a window of time we designated. This is great for neurotic kitty schedules.
4. They send emails after each visit with pictures and details of the visit. How wonderful is that?
5. They clean the litter boxes, food area and take out the trash every time they visit.
6. They have a team of people, so we didn’t need to worry about the pet sitter getting sick and not showing up to feed the cats (yes, we’ve had that happen in the past as well).
Justin was assigned to our cats, and he was wonderful! One of our usually shy kitties made an appearance for him both days and even «cautiously played» with him and took a treat from his hand (he sent the picture of her eating out of his hand)!!
All in all, Sitter4Paws WLA offers a fantastic service! We cannot recommend them highly enough!

This group is wonderful! I am a traveling nurse and was only in LA for three months, so I needed a company that would help me three days a week during my very long days. They were very thorough, followed instructions, and I always received a few fun photos on the days I used their service. I signed up for the 3x/​week 1 ½ hour hike.
A few times my dog explored the trash while I wa gone and it was always cleaned up, which I really appreciated!
Contact was super easy. I had texting communication often with Kelly at the Westside location and she was quick and responsive. Sometimes my schedule would switch without a lot of notice and they always tried to accomodate me and solve the problems.

Sitter4Paws WLA — These people were a vast improvement over the other cat sitter’s I used called Fetch! Pet Care. Actually you can read my other review of that place, which was pretty much zip, zero.
Here’s why I gave it 4 stars, (unlike that other pet sitter), Sitter4Paws WLA followed my instructions and he did NOT urinate elsewhere outside his litterbox, which means they actually read my instructions to sift the litter really really good and that was a HUGE WIN for me (standing ovation there). Not coming home to cat urine on my bed or around the litter box was such a relief. Yep, see the other review of the «other» cat sitter, how nasty that experience was…
Anyways, each day I got a nice email review which was pretty awesome. I love seeing the folks taking care of my cat actually take time to write a daily report.
They said they are supposed to send pics each visit, but I did not get that consistently. But the pics I did get were very very thorough, notably by Kristin. She was one of a couple people who watched him while I was away, I can’t recall the others because she was the one who signed her reports, so kudos to her. The one guy said he thought it was too dark, which was his logic, but that is what lights are for in the bedroom, hmmm.
A couple minor things I will mention but it was not a showstopper. They would still be on my list to watch my cat again. I will list out improvements which is why they didn’t get the full 5 stars. But 4 stars is still good, because I’m ‘that customer’, really meticulous and finicky. Areas to improve:
1– I specifically asked to cover the food cans. There were 2 cans in the fridge, one can was covered (not sure why there were 2 unused cans), but the other ¾ new can was partially left open in the fridge and was not covered. I thought to myself, that person clearly doesn’t have a pet, because why would you leave an open can exposed to air in the fridge? To me, it was just nasty not to cover the food can leaving the food to dry up which is not the point of ‘wet’ food.
2– Someone left my light on in the hallway, my blinds were open, so at night, it’s like, Hellllooooo Dolly, everyone please look inside my apartment… Before I left, I intentionally left the blinds open so my cat could look outside while I was away. I had the lights off, especially for at night (and just had night lights on the floor area), but whoever was there left the hallway light on. My LA apartment is not that big, so even having one light on, it’s like a fish bowl at night.
3– There was a misunderstanding by me, that they actually don’t take the keys (I had a lockbox on the door). So each day in my workshop I had to keep buzzing them in. For longer trips and if on business that is no bueno, but for shorter trips I can probably manage. Again, I overlooked that in their agreement — so that’s mybad.
Other than that they did a pretty thorough job of taking care of my kitty son. And yes, I would use them again.

I have used a few pet sitting services in the area, but none that I have been this impressed with! From my initial call to Kelly, to picking up my dog 5 days after his stay, Kelly and her husband were helpful and attentive the entire time I was out of town. Kona had a blast while staying with them and was definitely sad to leave his new friends.
By far the best, and most affordable service in the LA area! Will be certainly calling on them for future stays!

I can’t even express how wonderful their service is! They take my dog last minute even sometimes, the communication is always immediately as well!
Highly recommend using them! They also email me photos and the times they took my dog out!

I waited more than 6 months to write this, as I wanted my review to be as measured as possible. I don’t want to be one of those ranty Unilocal people that leaves nasty reviews because a service wasn’t up to their impossibly high standards. You know the type. However, the mistake on the part of one of Sitter4Paws sitters really caused some damage, both to my cat’s health, and to my bank account, so I felt like I needed to share my experience.
The short version is that one of my cats didn’t get a daily medication he needed, which directly led to a painful vet visit, a vet bill of over $ 200, a missed half day off of work to go to the vet. When I emailed the owner/​manager about this, there was no offer for any refunded visits or help with my vet bill.
Here’s the long version:
One of my cats needs to take a powdered laxative in his food daily, or else he experiences severe constipation due to colon problems. He is a total pig, so eating wet food with some laxative in it is not a problem for him. All the sitter needs to do is put it in front of him, and he will gobble it right up. Easy peasy. We have had many sitters/​friends do this for us off and on for the past 5 years with no problems.
Here’s the twist: 2 of my 3 cats are all-​black, including the one that needs the meds. For a new sitter, I anticipated that it might be confusing to know which cat to give the meds to. So I dealt with this by:
*Explaining the situation to the manager that came over for the initial meet and greet, and pointed out which cat needed the meds, so he could note this for the sitter.
*Leaving a PICTURE of both cats, labeled, as the cat that needed the meds had a collar and the other cat didn’t.
*Left a written description of both cats, as a double check for the picture, including personality traits to make it super obvious. For example, one cat meows constantly, and the other never meows, etc.
I was assured by the manager at my consultation that giving the meds to the right cat would not be a problem, given all the information I had given him, etc. He also mentioned that he could easily tell the cats apart «as they didn’t really look alike, and one had a collar». However, there was at least one sitter that couldn’t tell them apart, and didn’t give him the medication (this was acknowledged by the sitter). We got home from our trip and our poor cat was in agony, as he wasn’t going to the bathroom, and he was throwing up all over the place (a sign of constipation).
In spite of this much-​less-​than-​desirable situation, I understand that no service is perfect 100% of the time. If Kelly with had offered to refund at least one day of the service and assisted with the vet bill, I would have felt better about the situation, as it would have indicated that she realized that they didn’t perform their best service. Although she was polite, and expressed concern for the situation, there was no offer for any assistance, even though she acknowledged that it was the sitter’s fault.
The bottom line is that if you have easy cats, and if you trust people to come into your house that you have never met, this service is probably fine. Otherwise, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

As a pair of puppy parents that each work, and with me working out of town with some measure of frequency, Sitter4Paws has been a lovely addition.
They are reliable, affordable, and friendly, and we love the pictures and detailed updated we get from the walkers after each visit to see our little pup.
There was one very minor incident with the walkers letting our dog’s leash get caught around a light in our home and it knocked over, but they immediately let us know and sent pictures of the damage and the clean-​up.
