Zion Outback Safari

Hands down the best thing we did on our trip to Zion. We aren’t experienced hikers or off-​road drivers so we figured the best way to really see things we normally wouldn’t attempt to see would be to hire someone to do the driving. To start, the online reservation was very easy to make. Within 2 minutes, I had our tour booked and a paid receipt printed out. We got the meeting spot a little early and saw the truck already in the parking lot and our guide showed up soon after that.
Wade was not only an awesome tour guide but he was informative and funny as well. And thankfully, he was a great driver, too! It was a pretty cold day to be in an open truck so blankets were provided and very much appreciated. We saw so much and had the chance to take some pretty amazing photos, along with learning some interesting facts about Zion and the surrounding areas. Not gonna lie, the road up Smith Mesa scared the crap out of me, but we made it there and back down without a scratch. The alternative views of Zion and the Virgin valley below were just stunning. The light at the top was almost magical and I don’t think I’ve seen more beautiful scenery. Three hours totally flew by and other than being really cold, I would have loved another hour or two.
If we ever made it back to Zion, we would book this tour again without hesitation.

My wife and I recently traveled to Zion for a quick weekend get away. We hiked the Narrows in the Park and also decided to take a Private Jeep Tour with Zion Outback Safaris. Todd was our driver and he was extremely knowledgable about the park and the surrounding areas of Zion. He discussed local history (geology and human history) while taking us to some of the most beautiful vistas you can imagine. Todd was a really good guy and really funny too. We had a blast and would highly recommend this to anyone looking to see beautiful areas that surround the park. Also the ride in the jeep was extremely comfortable, even when we were off-​road on some pretty rough roads.
If you have the money I recommend the private tour because your guide is willing to customize the trip to what you are looking for.
