We went to the Majestic view steakhouse last night and LEFT after sitting there for a few minutes. First off, when we walked into the restaurant, there were about 10 customers. We waited to be seated by a guy in a white shirt with dark pants and a straggly beard who was busy mopping the floors with a big bucket and mop. To our surprise, the same guy who was in the middle of mopping, stopped his mopping for a moment to take our drink order. When we saw the same guy then deliver food to a table with his mid chest straggly beard serve dinner with his beard hanging over the food to another customer, we were DONE! We got up and LEFT! The food is very over priced which normally does not upset us. However, if a restaurant is going to charge $ 30.00 plus for their meals as in FINE dining, they had better hire clean waiters without long beards draped over the food and janitors to mop the floors after dining hours. I am certain the Dept of Health will enjoy hearing about this restaurant.

By far the best place to stay in Zion. They have amazing staff, and the views from all sides of the hotel are breathtaking. The rooms are very nice for the price, as well as the pool. The staff is very helpful as well. There’s a great free taxidermy museum, as well as(in my opinion) the best gift shop around Zion! The restaurant is good, but I feel as though it’s a bit overpriced.

Breathtaking view. Prices were way to high for the poor quality of food. The chef couldn’t cook a steak correctly. Sent one back, recieved another poorly cooked steak and ate it because we were hungry. We were the only people in the restaurant. Service was good. Was dissapointed that the food couldn’t compare to the view and asthetics.

Breakfast was pathetic and expensive($ 12 w/coffee per person) Potatoes were stale and/or old, ham was thin and 1 piece of toast. Doubt we will eat there again and we are staying here. Beautiful lodge, great people! Too bad about food.

Awesome views, southwest large wooden furnishings, an incredible amount of large dead stuffed animals and very friendly service. We joked that the marlin was caught in the Virgin River, right? Okay, focus on the mountain views and vegetarians like me will be fine. I had the garlic mashed potatoes and a nice sauvignon blanc, which will lead you to believe there are not a lot of vegetarian choices on the menu, and you would be correct. My carnivore husband enjoyed his prime rib, and our friend enjoyed his pork loin. Salmon and trout are available, but I haven’t been feeling pescatarian-ish lately.

I wish the meal was 1⁄10th as good as the view. OK service, extremely over priced for the quality of food. Can’t lean on the view, have to have good food. I’m surprised they are still open.

Staff friendly. Rooms clean with a great view. Décor matched the setting well(country). I really liked this place I just can’t bring myself to give a motel a 5 star rating. Nicest motel I ever stayed in. We did not eat in the steakhouse. This review was for lodging only.

If you are interested in a view with your meal, this is the place to go! This was the best restaurant we went to while at Zion. The view is «majestic» and our dinners were good. We had steak and trout and both were well prepared. The server was friendly and attentive. I believe it is under relatively new management, so take that into consideration when reading older reviews. It is somewhat more expensive than other options in Springdale and it has a more«fine dining» vibe. It was quiet and relaxing after a hectic, busy day.

Overpriced. The prime rib is getting cold while served. The portion of seafood entrée is poor. NOTWORTHIT!

Decent lunch menu. Incredibly friendly service. Phenomenal view. All desserts are homemade. Definitely got to try the carrot cake. Best thing ever!

i stopped into majestic with my wife as we were returning to our hotel one night. we had dinner plans already set for later that evening at another restuarant. however, after seeing their menu and ambiance(not to mention the«Majestic View» from the dining room) my wife and i decided to cancel our standing appt. and have our special, «romantic» dinner here instead. and boy are we glad we did. this place was great all around and i would highly recommend coming here to dine. the dining room is large, clean and has a glass wall on one side for a picture perfect panoramic view. i ordered the 16 oz ribeye with mashed taters, wife had some sort of fish dish. the food was delicious and my steak had tons of flavor. it was also cooked to just the right temp. we started with salads and wings. the salads were fine, nothing too special but still satisfying. the wings were GREEAATT! get the wings. we brought our own bottle of wine and they only charged 8.50 cork fee. our server brittany was the sweetest and made us feel so warm and welcome. overall: go, go, go to this place. if not to eat, then at least to view their wildlife museum. good food, ridiculous views and the friendliest people. pretty decent beer and wine selection as well.

Let me start by saying this place has an incredible view! With that said, the food is just o.k. There were seven of us for dinner so we had a little bit of everything. However, nothing worth mentioning here. You know when the bread tastes stale that everything is going to be mediocre. But after a full day in the park, it’s a great to place to check on the beauty of Zion and have a glass of hard to come by wine!

We came to Zion this past Labor Day weekend, and had a chance to try out both their lunch and dinner… on the same day! Lunch entrees are around $ 10 and dinner $ 28. For lunch, we had their special of the day ~ Fish Sandwich and Jerk Chicken Po Boy Sandwich. The Fish Sandwich($ 7.99) was made with 2 large pieces of beer battered Halibut, well seasoned, crispy batter with flaky tender fish, served on a warm french roll, topped off with slices of fresh tomatoes and iceberg lettuce, with thick cut french fries on the side, it was tasty. The Jerk Chicken Po Boy Sandwich($ 8.99) had smoky slices of chicken breasts, with slices of fresh tomatoes and iceberg lettuce, also served on a warm french roll and a side of their house salad. A good sandwich, but would’ve been better if they didn’t over cook the chicken. For dinner we ordered Elk Skewers($ 27, 2 skewers with cubes of Elk’s meat, onions and zucchinis, the meat was bit tough and had sour taste to it), Beacon Wrapped Trout($ 20, two slices of Cajun robbed trout fillets over beacon slices, the fish were dry and flavorless… all I can say is, this dish sounded so much better than it actually tastes), Buffalo Steak($ 32, cooked medium rear, the best dish out of what we ordered), Ribeye Steak($ 28, not enough marbling on the meat, it was just okay) Over all, I give 4 stars for lunch and 2 stars for dinner. I think lunch is much more tastier and wallet friendly than dinner, plus you get a great view of Zion(see picture) in the comfort of air conditioning! Check out their museum inside the gift shop, it has displays of stuffed real wild animals in their primitive forms.
